Temperature indicator on a heating vessel. The subject of the invention is a temperature indicator on a cooking vessel with an alarm device which is arranged on the cooking vessel lid and has a release lever, and a bimetallic strip which is used to trigger said lever, the bimetallic strip being attached at one end to a rotatable shaft equipped with an adjusting lever , in such a way that the bimetal strip can be adjusted by turning the axis by means of the adjustment lever to the trigger lever of the alarm device,
that in the case of the curvature due to the influence of heat with its free end designed as a Aktneh mer it triggers the alarm device at a certain temperature in the cooking vessel by means of the release lever.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is Darge, and it shows: Fig. 1 is a front view of the same with a section through the alarm bell, Fig. 2 is a section along the line AA of FIG. 1, Fig. 3 is a section along the line BB of FIGS. 1 and 4, a detail in plan view.
About a recess 1 of the lid 2 of a cooking vessel, a base plate 3 is fastened. In this a downward direction ended axle 4 is rotatably mounted, on which a spiral spring 5 wound from a bimetal strip is clamped with its innermost turn between a disc 6 fixed on the axle 4 and a disc 7 placed on it by means of a nut, whereby the bimetallic strip protrudes into the cooking vessel under the underside of the lid. At the protruding over the base plate 3 end of the axis 4 is an adjusting lever 9 be fastened, by means of which the. Axis 4 together with the spiral 5 can be rotated for the purpose of setting the temperature at which the alarm device is to be triggered.
This lever 9 is adjusted by means of screws 10 which are screwed into the downwardly bent tab 11 of the intermediate plate 12. The shaft 14 rotatably mounted in the intermediate plate 12 and the head plate 13 carries a release lever, one arm 15 of which protrudes into the path of the release arm 17 connected to the clapper 16 of a bell, while the downwardly bent other arm 15 'extends through an opening 18 of the base plate 3 extends and lies in the path of the outer, formed to a driver 19 free end of the spiral 5 forming bimetal strip.
The bell has the usual embodiment for alarm clocks and has, in addition to the clapper 16, which is driven by a spring mechanism 21 that can be opened by a key 20, a bell 22 which serves as a casing for the organs of the alarm device and for the setting device, which over the base plate 3, that is to say net angeord over the cover and which is attached to the top plate 13.
The base plate 3 could also be replaced by the cover itself.
When cooking, the spiral formed from the bimetal strip 5 is heated according to the temperature in the cooking vessel. As a result, the driver 19 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow P (FIG. 4). He then lies against the arm 15 ', which he rotates when pivoting further while rotating the shaft 14 and tensioning the spring 23, which asked the effort to rotate the shaft 14 against this rotational movement. The arm 15 of the release lever protruding into the path of the release arm 17 is thus also pivoted in such a way that it comes out of the path of the release arm 17.
The setting lever 9 is now set against the stop 19 so that the release of the release arm 17 takes place in the eyes in which the food reaches that temperature at which the alarm device is to be activated. When the temperature in the spiral 5 drops, the driver 19 swivels back into its starting position, whereby the arms 15 and 15 'of the release lever is made possible to return to its starting position under the action of the spring 23 which is thereby released, with the arm 15 'again enters the path of the release arm 17 and secures it in its position.
It is also provided that the bimetallic strip instead of being wound into a spiral, to be used in a different form, for example in a linear, stretched form.
