Abgabeapparat für gekühlte Nahrungs- und Genussmittel, z. B. Eiscreme, in Packungen.
was ein Verklemmen dieser Teile hervorrufen kann. Diese Schwie rigkeiten werden nun dank .der Erfindung behoben, da die oben im Magazin befindliche Eiscreme und dergleichen, welche unter ,dem, Einfluss der durch die Abgabeöffnung ein- strömenden warmen Luft erweichen könnte, genügend Zeit zum Abkühlen und Wieder erhärten hat, bevor sie am Grunde des Maga zins ankommt, wo eine gewöhnlich nur zirka 6 C niedrigere Temperatur herrscht als zu Oberst im Magazin;

Dispenser for chilled food and beverages, e.g. B. ice cream, in packs. The present invention is a dispenser for chilled food and beverages, for example ice cream, in packs, with a thermally insulated housing, the interior of which is kept cooled to the required low temperature and in which a magazine containing the packs in one or more stacks is housed.
The aim of the invention is to create a dispensing apparatus of the type mentioned, with which the food or luxury goods to be administered can be dispensed in a better condition than with the previous apparatus.
This is achieved in the dispensing apparatus according to the invention in that a lifting device is arranged in the housing in order to feed packs removed from the magazine to a discharge opening arranged on top of the housing, the mechanism for removing the packs and the drive elements of the Iiubvorrichtung are essentially arranged in the lower part of the housing.
The dispensing device is particularly suitable for training as a self-seller, that is to say with coin release, but could also be designed and used without this for mechanical removal of goods.
One of the disadvantages of the previously known dispensing devices of the type mentioned, for example for ice cream, is that the air admitted into the housing through the dispensing opening has a higher temperature than that in the housing itself, whereby the air comes into contact with it Coming ice cream melts and, in addition, an ice deposit is generated on the parts of the mechanism located in the vicinity of the dispensing opening,
which can cause these parts to jam. These difficulties are now solved thanks to the invention, since the ice cream and the like located at the top of the magazine, which could soften under the influence of the warm air flowing in through the dispensing opening, has enough time to cool down and harden again before it arrives at the bottom of the magazine, where the temperature is usually only about 6 C lower than at Colonel in the magazine;
and from where the ice cream is removed and brought through the elevator to the dispensing opening in the upper part of the housing. Furthermore, the drive device, which is essentially housed in the lower part of the housing, where the lowest temperature prevails, is not exposed to the inflowing warm air, so that the mechanism cannot fail due to the formation of ice on it.
Appropriately, the dispenser with a container for spoons and means for dispensing the spoon from this container see ver, and an actuator can be provided to operate the apparatus, which, when moving in one direction, the device for removing the packs from the magazine and operated to drive the lifting device.
and when moving in the opposite direction, this device returns to the starting position and actuates the device for dispensing the spoon.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. Fig. 1 shows an elevation of an automatic table, that is, as a self-seller out formed dispenser for ice cream with a broken out portion of the housing; Fig. 2 shows a side view;

Figure 6 shows, in elevation, details of the means for temporarily supporting the container above the container. Basic container in a stack; Fig. 7 shows a vertical section along line 7-7 in Fig. 6; Figure 8 is a plan view of the parts shown in Figure 6;
Fig. 9 shows in plan the device for the intermittent rotary movement of: the shaft carrier; Fig. 1-0 shows a section along line 10-10 in Fig. 9; 11 shows a plan view of the triggering device for stopping the shaft carrier in the correct position; Fig. 12 shows a section along line 12-12 in Fig. 11;
13 shows a side view with the housing partially broken away to illustrate the means for returning coins when the machine is empty, and FIG. 14 shows a front view of the mechanism shown in FIG. 13.
In all the figures and drawings, the same parts are labeled with the same transfer symbols.
The vending machine shown in the drawing for the administration of ice cream packets contains a base 10 on which an approximately airtight housing 11 is placed. The walls of the housing consist of an outer layer 12 made of plywood or any other suitable material and an inner layer 13 made of insulating material. For easy accessibility
inside the housing, the cover and the upper part of the front wall are designed as a removable L-shaped end wall 14, as shown in FIG. 2, and the housing part 14 is held in place by a hinged cover 15. A suitable lock can be provided for the cover 15.
To keep the inside of the housing cool, a cooling machine in the base 10 or containers for receiving a coolant in the housing 11 can be seen before ..
The cup-shaped containers 16 filled with ice cream are stacked in a number of vertical, tubular shafts 17 serving as a magazine, which are arranged in a circular manner on an intermittently rotatable carrier which has a circular base plate 1: 8 has to take on the lower ends of the shafts, as well as a central vertical spindle 19, which near its upper end one with openings for receiving: the upper end:
disc 20 provided with wells 17. The lower ends of these shafts are open and coincide with the openings 21 in the plate 18 carrying the shafts, which is arranged at a slight distance above a stationary table 22 on which the bottom packaging container of the stack of goods in each shaft 17 rests.
The table 22 is provided with an opening 23 (FIG. 5), which is arranged in such a way that: all of the shafts 17 can be brought into conformity with this position by rotating the shaft carrier one after the other.
The spindle 19 of the rotatable carrier is rotatably mounted in the table 22 and its rotation takes place in the manner described below: The drawing shows sixteen Ich: eighth 17: each of which can contain twenty cup-shaped packets 16 stacked on top of one another, but any other number of shafts for receiving any number of packs could of course also be provided.
As can be seen from FIGS. 5, 6 and 7, the cup-shaped packs 16 are placed upside down in the shafts 17 so that the lid of each pack rests on the bottom of the pack below.
In this way, the wall edge surrounds: d 24 of each pack, which is the upper edge in the normal position of the pack,: the wall of the next lower pack of the stack, from which it is distaned due to the conicity of the packs.
The edge 24 of the packages is hereinafter referred to as the lower edge. In the warning of each chute 17, near its lower end, a horizontal slot 25 is provided at a slight distance below the level of the lower edge 24 of the second lowest pack in each stack.
As can be seen 931s in FIGS. 6, 7 and 8, a horizontal plate 27 is attached to a table 2'2 adjacent to the opening 23 of the same by means of a support 26, which plate forms a bar which is arranged in such a way:
that it protrudes one after the other into the slots 15, 25 of the tubular shafts 17 during the intermittent rotation of the shaft carrier. The plate 27 protrudes far enough into the interior: of the .Schachtes that the lower edge 24 of the second bottom pack: can rest on it.
In this way, the packs above the lower pack in a shaft are temporarily supported by the plate 27 every time the shaft carrier over the opening 23 stops, and the bottom pack alone can then freely: through: the opening 23 in the table 22 fall onto a transfer device arranged under this opening.
In the illustration according to FIGS. 6, 7 and 8: the bottom pack of the stack has fallen through this opening.
The transfer device is designed in the form of a trough 28 (FIG. 5), which is pivotably mounted with an axis 29 between two side plates 30 and is held in the horizontal position by a tension spring -31.
This trough 28 is arranged in such a way that when it is tilted a pack located therein slides into a lifting device 32, through which it is conveyed to an outlet opening 33 located near the upper end of the machine.
As a lifting device: a box-like container, open on the side facing the support 218, is used, which is arranged in such a way that the fiddle end of its downward path. Its bottom grips the trough and tilts it, as shown in FIG.
The bottom of the conveyor box is inclined so: that it forms an extension of the bottom of the trough 28 when the latter is tilted so that: a package from: the trough can slide freely into the conveyor container.
From the delivery opening 33 is normally closed by a hinged flap 34 which is held in the closed position by a spring 35 and has an extension 36 on its inner surface which is arranged so that it is grasped and lifted from the upper end of the conveying container open the flap.
In the insulating wall 13 of the housing, a recess 37 is provided for receiving the extension 36 when .the flap 34 is open.
The intermittently rotating shaft carrier and the conveying device are connected to one another in such a way that they work together in terms of time, namely the same are actuated by a main shaft 38,
on which a handle 39 is attached to the outside of the housing. With this handle a locking mechanism for coin release known construction is connected to prevent operation of the handle 39,
as long as one or more coins have not been thrown into the machine for the required amount by a coin slot 40. The locking mechanism for the handle, which does not form part of the present invention and:
therefore neither described nor 'h is shown, is included in an auxiliary housing 41 (FIGS. 1 and 2) which is attached to the main housing 11.
Coins here are to be understood as coins or tokens, depending on the intended purpose of the machine.
The shaft carrier 18 is rotated from the main shaft 38 intermittently by means of a chain 42, one end of which is attached to the shaft 38.
The chain is wound around this shaft and its other end is fastened by means of a connecting piece 43 to a reciprocating member 44 which carries a pawl 45 which engages a ratchet wheel 46 fastened on the shaft 19 of the shaft support. For the Rückbewe movement of the pawl carrier 44 is a tension spring 47,
which at one end engages an extension of the pawl 45 and is anchored to an extension of the table 22 at the other end. Forward step limiting and backward step locking devices are provided in order to bring the shaft carrier into such a position after each forward shifting of the shaft carrier that one of the shafts 17 is exactly above the opening 23 of the table 22.
The forward step limiting device shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 has a locking arm 48 which is pulled into engagement by a spring 49 with a number of projections 50 seated at uniform intervals on the circumference of the base plate 18 of the shaft carrier.
The locking arm is pivotably mounted at 51 in a support 512 on the table 22 and its lower end lies in the path of movement of a drive arm 53 which is attached to a ratchet 54 fastened to the main shaft 38. The arm 53 is attached to the ratchet wheel 54 in such a way that it depresses the lower end of the locking arm 43 at the right time and raises the latter until
that the same emerges from the movement path of the projections 50 on the base plate 18 of the shaft carrier, which can then rotate freely. At the end of a certain movement of the sprocket 54, the arm 53 is lifted from the lower end of the locking arm 48, which is then drawn by: the spring 49 in its locking position, in which it protrudes into the path of the projections 50 moving.
On the support 52 a pin 52a is attached (Fig. 12) to limit the downward movement of a gripping part of the locking arm 48 to be. It goes without saying that each time the machine is actuated, the shaft carrier rotates by the distance between two successive shafts, so that the locking arm 48 comes into contact with two successive projections 50 one after the other.
A backward movement of the shaft carrier is prevented by the backward locking device shown in FIGS. 6, 7 and 8. This has a locking arm 55 which is pivotably mounted at 56 on the support 2-6 and is arranged so that it falls behind each of the successive projections 50 and holds the shaft carrier in the correct position,
in which a shaft 17 is located exactly above the opening 23 of the table 2, 2.
The slots 25 in the walls of the shaft pipes 17 are, as indicated above, arranged at a small distance below the lower edge 24 of the second lowest container of each stack.
As a result, every time a shaft 17 is brought over the opening 23 in the table 22, the stack of packs contained therein will easily fall down until the lower edge of the second from the bottom reaches the plate 27. Normally the bottom pack in the stack will fall through this opening.
With each movement of the shaft carrier, a shaft 17 is rotated somewhat .. beyond the position in which it corresponds to the opening 23, namely by a distance which is determined by .. the position of the locking arm 48.
If the bottom pack of the stack does not fall through the opening 23 into the trough 28, for example because its bottom or bottom edge adheres to the lid of the next top pack, the edge 24 of the bottom pack hits the wall of the opening 23 in the immovable table 22, so that this tilts the pack and tears off the one lying over it.
The conveying device is designed as follows:] The sprocket 54, which, as already mentioned, is attached to the main shaft 38, carries a drive chain 57 which runs over a smaller sprocket 58 which is attached to an intermediate shaft 59, which is mounted in bearings 60 the housing of the machine is mounted approximately in the middle between the upper and lower ends of the shafts 17.
In addition, a larger chain wheel 61 is attached to the shaft 59, which engages in a conveyor chain 62 which runs over upper and lower chain wheels 63, 64 and intermediate chain wheels 65, 66, the chain wheel 65 being adjustable around the chain 62 to give the necessary slackness to avoid breakage when contracted.
The conveying container 3 1 2 is attached to the chain 62 at 67 (FIG. 5), so that it is raised and lowered by the same, namely the same is vertically slidable on guide rails 68, which by means of Supports are attached to the housing.
A weight 69, which is used to compensate for the conveying container. a Kor del 70 is suspended, which runs over a roller 71 and is attached at 72 to the conveyor container.
In order to prevent the counterweight 69 from swinging, the same is performed on a vertical guide rod 73 with a drilling. The arrangement is such that by moving the handle 39 to and fro over approximately 120 ′, the conveying container is raised and lowered. If desired, a spring or weight return can be provided for the hand lever.
The operation of the above-described device is as follows: One or more coins of the required amount are inserted into the coin slot 40 and the hand lever 39 is pivoted in the direction indicated by an arrow in FIG. There is normally a pack 16 in the conveying container 32 and, with the trough 28 in the tilted position,
as shown in FIG. The aforementioned movement of the handle 39 is going up: the conveyor container 32 acts. During this upward movement of the container, it hits the extension 36 and opens the flap 34.
When the conveying container reaches the uppermost point in its upward movement, the pack 16 contained therein is administered through .die discharge opening 33, namely an opening is provided in the -R, ückwand, of the conveying container so that the pack can slide out.
The discharge opening 33 is in connection with a chute 74 which ends in a trough 75. For damping, a tongue 76 is arranged in the slide 74 in the path of movement of the article to be administered in order to dampen the speed of the articles sliding down the slide.
When the conveying container goes up, the trough 28 returns to the horizontal position shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 5, and at the same time it rotates in order to bring the next shaft tube over the opening in the table 22 so that the lowest container out of it. The shaft can fold into the trough 2.8.
The conveyor container then goes downwards when the handle 39 moves backwards, the flap closes automatically, and at the end of its downward movement the conveyor container tilts like the trough 28 so that the pack located therein slides into the conveyor container. The game can then begin again.
As already mentioned, one or more containers for a coolant in the housing 11 can be installed. In the dargestell th embodiment, a container 77 for dry ice (Fig. 2) is installed inside the shaft ring 17 at the upper end of the same and attached to the L-shaped removable end part 14 of the housing.
In the embodiment shown, a spoon container 78 is provided in the auxiliary housing 41. The spoons 79 are housed in a stack in this container, and each one is conveyed out through a slot 80 in a side wall of the auxiliary housing 41 on a trough 81 by means of a pusher 82, the latter being actuated by the hand lever 39.
The spoon container is designed in such a way that the number of spoons in the stack is the same as the number of packs in all the shafts, the whole thing in such a way that the last pack is dispensed with the last spoon. A toothed piston 83 is expediently provided on the shaft 38, which meshes with a toothed rack 84 on the pusher 82, and the arrangement is such that when the hand lever 39 is rotated in the direction indicated by the arrow in FIG. 1, the pusher 82 is returned so that the next spoon can fall in front of the pusher,
to be conveyed out during the return movement of the hand lever through this.
The coins thrown into the slot 40 normally roll over a downwardly inclined guide bar 85 onto a coin deflector 86 (FIGS. 13, 14) and from there into a coin channel 87, through which they are directed to the triggering device which they operate around the Hand lever 39 to give free. The coin deflector 86 is automatically actuated to bring about the return of coins thrown into the empty machine to the thrower, and the funds provided here contain an actuation element which is held by the spoon 79 contained in the spoon container 78 in the rest position , but in We-.
The action occurs as soon as the last spoon has been ejected, thereby bringing the coin deflector 86 into such a position that the coins are given back to the person who throws it in. In the embodiment shown, this actuating organ is designed as a weight 88 which rests on the stack of spoons in the container 78. This weight 88 is connected by means of a light connector 89 to a pivotably mounted arm 90 which carries the coin deflector 86.
As long as there are spoons in the container 78, the nice 89 is slack, and the coin deflector 86 assumes the position shown in full lines in FIG. 1,3; However, as soon as the last spoon 79 has been administered, the weight 88 pulls on the chain 89, the same is tensioned and swings the arm 90 with the coin deflector 86 in the position shown in phantom in FIG.
As soon as the coin deflector is in the latter position, each coin inserted into the slot 40 falls onto a slide 91, which guides the same into a money trough 92 on the outside of the housing 41.
The invention is not limited to the embodiment presented or to automatic machines for dispensing ice cream.
