Dans la forme d'exécution des fig. 24 et 25, le fond mobile 5 présente deux parties annulaires 141 et 142 s'étendant en sens op posés et ayant une section transversale en U, tandis que la collerette 6 recevant le fond présente une partie annulaire 143, ayant une section transversale en U et s'étendant inté rieurement dans la rainure enU 142 du fond 5, assurant ainsi un joint plus étroit entre le fond du corps du récipient lorsque celui-ci est emmagasiné ou au cours de son transport;
Dans la forme d'exécution des fig. 27, 28, 30 et 32, le fond 147 du récipient est fixé directement au corps cylindrique 16 de ce dernier, qui renferme une bague de garniture 14. La tige de piston 49 est alors pourvue d'une plaque commandée 148 et d'im. couteau annulaire 149 présentant une série d'arêtes tranchantes 150 disposées annulairement et chanfreinées;

The apparatus shown in fig. 1 to 5 shows a sheet metal container 15 having a circular cross-section, as shown in fig. 1, comprising a cylindrical side wall 16, a cover 17 permanently attached to this side wall by a rolled edge 18, and a bottom 19, also permanently attached to the side wall 16 by a rolled edge 20. For clarity in the drawing, edges 18 and 20 have been shown on a larger scale. It is understood that the thickness of the side wall 16 and the end pieces 17 and 19 is less than that shown in the drawing, so that the folded edges 18 and 20 actually have smaller dimensions.
The bottom 19 has a central opening 21 which is surrounded by a more or less cylindrical flange 22 and projecting outwards. Inside the container is provided a shutter piece 23 made of sheet metal, comprising a cylindrical part 24 having a closed inner end 25, as well as a part 26 extending laterally, a more or less cylindrical part 27 intended to fit. tightly in the opening 21 made in the bottom of the container and to be retained by friction in this opening, and a flange 28, extending laterally and abutting against the flat part of the bottom .19 when the shutter 23 is in place, as shown particularly in FIG. 1.
When the shutter 23 is thus in place and frictionally engaged in the opening 21 made in the bottom of the container, it constitutes a hermetic and removable closing element for said opening 21 and can only be removed therefrom in the opening. direction indicated by arrow 29.
Inside the container is disposed an ejector consisting of a disc or piston 30, preferably of sheet metal or similar material, and having an annular flange 31 of the tines to fit more or less closely inside the cylindrical wall. 16 of the container, so that any movement of the disc or piston 30 in the direction of arrow 29 will drive the contents of the container also in the direction of that arrow 29 without leaving behind any appreciable amount of the material contained in the container. As seen in fig. 1, the disc or piston 30 has a recess 32, formed in the center of this disc with a closed end 33.
The recess could also be open at its inner end, thus simply leaving an annular flange, extending inwardly, to surround part 24 of the shutter 23, projecting inwardly. The top 17 of the container 15 has a threaded collar 34, which can be fixed there by any suitable means, for example by welding, at 35, or by any other suitable means known in the manufacture of metal cans. The threaded collar 34 is intended to receive a corresponding threaded cap 36 in which is disposed a suitable gasket 37 to ensure a closure that does not allow grease to pass through.
The container is mounted with the shutter 23 in position, as shown in fig. 1, and with the ejector 30 in its position closest to the bottom, as also generally indicated in FIG. 1, the ta raudé hat 36 being removed. The container is then filled with a predetermined quantity of grease and the threaded cap 36 is then strongly screwed onto the threaded collar 34, so as to thus form a closure which does not allow the grease to pass. Then, the sealing member, shown in FIG. 5 and designated as a whole by the reference number 38, is placed on the threaded cap with its branches 39 welded at 40 to the cover 17.
As a result of the presence of the annular flange 41, directed downwards and surrounding the end of the threaded cap 36, and of the connection by welding between the branches 39 and the cover 17, the threaded cap 36 cannot be removed without that first the sealing member 38 has been removed. This sealing member 38 is removed by breaking the welded joints 40.
A maneuvering device 42, intended to cooperate with the container 15, comprises a part which exerts a grip on said container, a piston rod, and means for controlling the latter. est.related to said part exerting a grip on the container.
For this purpose, there is provided a base plate 43 comprising a fixed part 44 engaging with the bead 20 of the container, having a more or less arcuate shape and integral with the base plate 43, and a movable part 45, s 'Engaging with the bead 20 of the receptacle at a point more or less diametrically opposed to the frozen part 44.. The movable part 45 is pivotally mounted at 46 on a tab 47 integral with the base plate 43, or fixed in another way thereto, said part 45 being held elastically in the engagement position by a spring 48. .
The parts 44 and 45 are intended to engage with the annular bead 20 by turning the bottom of the container, so as to keep the latter stationary and in a predetermined position relative to the piston rod 49, which extends through the plate 43 perpendicular thereto, and, therefore, in substantially axial alignment with the container 15. As seen in FIG. 1, the piston rod has a series of spaced annular grooves 50 over its entire length, with the exception of its inner end part which is intended to come into contact with the shutter 23.
The annular grooves 50 have more or less planar annular surfaces 51 extending in principle perpendicular to the axis of the piston rod, as well as more or less conical surfaces 52, so as to constitute in reality a rack. The first which can be advanced by means of a spring-loaded pawl 53, regardless of the rotation of the piston rod itself.
Said piston rod 49 is slidably mounted in a bore 54 (fig. 2) of a - guide part 55 which, preferably, is also integral with the plate 43 carrying the parts 44 and 45, or is otherwise subject to said plate 43.
A fixed handle 56 is fixed to the tab 47 of the plate 43 by rivets 57. If desired, the handle 56 can also be secured to the tab 47 and, therefore, to the plate 43 which carries the parts 44 and 45 engaging with the bead 20 of the container.
The handle 56 has a slightly concave transverse section, as shown in fig. 3; it extends along the rod of the udder 49, and tends to protect the latter against any damage during the operation and operation of the operating device. A movable handle 58 is articulated to the plate 43 by means of a pivot 59 passing through said handle 58 and an articulation tab 60 which is integral with the plate 43 (or is fixed in another way thereto. ) and therefore,
parts 44 and 45 engaging with the bead 20 of the container. A hole 61, located at a suitable distance from the point of articulation 59, is formed in the handle 58, to slidably receive the pawl 53. The pawl 53 is provided with a rod 62 which is preferably screwed into said pawl, passes through handle 58 and terminates in a button 63. Button 63 includes a side pin 64 which slides into slots and which, when lifted out of these slots and disposed transversely, will hold the pawl 53 erased and in position. inactive with respect to piston rod 49.
A spring 65 acts on the pawl 53 to maintain it in elastic contact with the piston rod 49 when the pin 64 is not disposed so as to keep the pawl in the retracted position.
A spring 66 tends to move the handle 58 into the open position indicated by arrow 67.
In normal use of the apparatus described, the seal member 38 is removed from the container and the threaded cap 36 is also removed therefrom, the container being able to be held in the active position between the parts 44 and 45 engaging the container. bead 20, as shown in FIG. 1. Next, the operating device is grasped in one hand, in the manner in which pliers are usually grasped, and the handle 58 is repeatedly pressed towards the handle 56, thereby forcing the piston rod 49 to advance in. the direction of the arrow. 29.
The first advancement movement has the effect of dislodging the closure element 23 from the opening 21 formed in the bottom 19 of the container, while a new advancement moves the closure element 23 and the ejector 30 in the direction of arrow 29, so as to expel the contents of the container. This operation can .. be continued until all of the content has been moved afterwards. The empty container is released between the pieces 44 and 45 in engagement with the bead 20, and is discarded, because it can not be refilled.
The introduction and removal of the container is effected by lowering the handle-shaped portion 68 of the part 45 in the direction of arrow 69.
If desired, a dispensing spout, such as that shown by the apparatus of FIG. 7, can be screwed into the threaded collar 34 of the container 15 during the dispensing operation. This nozzle is particularly advantageous when it is desired to expel and distribute the grease in a more or less easily accessible opening, such as, for example, the opening for filling the housing of the transmission, the differential or the freewheel device of a motor vehicle.
Fig. 6 relates to an embodiment having a container in which the closure element and the ejector are integral with one another. Thus, in this variant, the closure element and the ejector extend towards one another.
Although in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 the piston rod 49 is shown to have grooves forming teeth and intended to be engaged by a pawl, it is understood that, in other embodiments, the engagement of the movable handle and of the piston rod can be ensured by friction.
Thus, by using a smooth piston rod and surrounding it with a friction clamping member, the opening of which is slightly larger than the diameter of said rod, the latter can be advanced in the direction of the arrow 29, by forcing the handle 58 to push said clamping member in the direction of arrow 29, eccentrically, that is to say by inclining this clamping member relative to the piston rod and ensuring engagement by friction between these two organs.
Any suitable spring can then be provided to return said clamping member to its initial position. By inclining the spring more or less with respect to the axis of the opening formed in the clamping member, the latter can be returned to its original position without any friction engagement with the piston rod.
In fig. 7 shows another embodiment of the apparatus according to the invention, in which the piston rod 70 is provided with a large or multiple pitch screw 71, which is screwed into a ta raudé sleeve 72 arranged along the same axis as the plate 43.
In this embodiment, the piston rod is advanced by means of a handle 73, carried by the outer end of the rod 70. The handle 73 is mounted on the end. exterior of the piston rod 70, so as to rotate freely in one direction relative to the latter, and to exert a friction grip when said handle rotates in the opposite direction. For this purpose, the end 74 of the piston rod 70 com carries a sleeve 75 immobilized in rotation by means of a locking pin 76 (FIG. 8). The sleeve 75 has a rette adhesive 77.
In the handle 73 is formed a central opening 78 "having in principle the same diameter as the outer diameter of the sleeve 75 and in the vicinity of said opening are also formed two diametrically opposed chambers 79. The chambers 79 have excenient outer surfaces. cams 80. A roller 81 is disposed between the surface 80 and the cylindrical surface of the sleeve 75 and is resiliently biased in the direction in which the piston rod is to rotate (that is to say in the direction of rotation). arrow 82) using a spring 83 acting by means of a block 84 engaging the roller.
A closure or cover plate 85, held in place by a screw 86, serves to hold the handle and the rollers assembled together and with the piston rod. Thus, by rotating the handle in the direction of arrow 87, the threaded piston rod is rotated in the desired direction to advance the latter in the direction of arrow 29.
When the handle is rotated in the opposite direction (arrow 82), the handle is moved independently of the piston rod. By this means, it is possible to advance the piston rod by repeated oscillations of the handle, without having to take care to exert a new grip on the handle at each operation.
The contact end of the piston rod 70 does not have screw threads 71, and the sleeve 72 is recessed at 88 to a depth sufficient to accommodate the contact end of the piston rod 70 which does not have threads of screw, so that the latter can be recalled completely, or at least up to a point where it is completely removed from the closure element or the ejector. Due to the large inclination of the screw thread 71, the udder rod can be returned to its initial or external position; simply by pushing it through the sleeve in a direction opposite to that indicated by arrow 29.
Any dispensing spout 89, curved or straight, can be provided; this spout comprising at one end a ta raudé coupling member 90 intended to be screwed onto the threaded collar 34 of the container 15.
A packing washer 91 is disposed inside the coupling or gane 90 to ensure a tight seal during dispensing. The spout 89 is formed of a tube which is engaged in a corresponding opening 92 formed in the coupling member 90 and is welded in position at 93 and 94.
The embodiments of FIGS. 7, 9, 10 and 11 also have modified forms of ejectors. In the apparatus of FIG. 7, the ejector consists of a controlled metal plate 95 having an opening 96, preferably slightly flared in the direction of arrow 29, and intended to come to fit closely on the cylindrical part 24 of the shutter 23. Said plate 95 also has an annular flange 31 similar to that shown in Figs: 1 and 6.
However, in this embodiment there is also provided a suitable number of spaced radial grooves 97 (Fig. 9), formed in the plate 95, in order to give greater rigidity to. the latter. This plate is slightly concave, as shown in fig. 7.
In addition to the metal plate 95, there is also provided a non-metallic lining disc 98, which may be constituted by a sheet of cardboard, on each side of which are arranged two sheets 99 and 100, of paper or other similar material, these sheets being quite thin and more or less impermeable to grease. A metal retaining plate 101, having a central opening 102 which engages closely with the cylindrical part 24 of the shutter element 23, serves to hold the packing disk assembled with the plate 95 and the shutter 23. .
The non-metallic packing disc, formed either of a sheet of cardboard 98 or of a sheet of cardboard 98 having on one side or on both sides a sheet 99 and 100 formed of a material. inexpensive, more or less rigid - and more or less impermeable to grease, is tightly engaged in the cylindrical casing 16 of the container 15, so that the grease can thus be more completely expelled from the latter.
Thus, with the aid of this non-metallic packing disc, closer contact can be obtained between the ejector and the cylindrical wall of the container. In fig. 7, the annular flange 31 of the controlled metal plate 95 is shown as being slightly spaced from the cylindrical wall of the container.
The clearance shown in the drawing is excessive and greater than the actual existing clearance, but it is understood that this clearance is shown excessive in the drawing for the sake of clarity, i.e. in order to show that the disc of Non-metallic liner is in closer contact with the cylindrical wall of the container than does the ordered metal plate. In this case, the ordered metal plate serves more or less as a guide element.
In fig. 10 shows a variant of the non-metallic lining disc; in this variant, the leading side of the disc has a flange 108 which, being made of a more or less pliable material although initially retaining its shape (such as varnished, wax-coated, or treated paper. in another way, or a similar fibrous material), serves to ensure a more complete seal between the ejector and the cylindrical wall of the container while the material contained in the latter is driven out,
this collar 108 then being flattened against the cover 17 of the receptacle when the ejector has been pushed to the limit of its stroke. In this way, a more efficient seal is ensured during the major part of the expelling operation, without however preventing the ejector from being brought to the limit of its stroke.
The collar 108, made of paper or other similar material, can thus retain its shape sufficiently to act like crimped leather, the pressure of the contents of the container tending to push it against the cylindrical wall thereof, but it is pushed with it. sufficient force to be crushed and flattened against the lid of the container, so that the last part of fat can be squeezed out of the latter.
The apparatus shown in FIG. 11 shows an ejector in which only a cup-shaped paper disc 105 is employed, in combination with a controlled metal plate. It is thus possible to obtain an element made of paper or other fibrous material able to retain its cup shape and comprising a collar 103 which is applied against the cylindrical wall of the container by any slight pressure of the grease during that this is expelled, and which is also flattened and crushed against the end of the container during the last part of the ejector stroke, so that the last parcel of fat can also be expelled.
Although the controlled plate 95 is slightly concave, as shown in figs. 7 and 11, the force exerted by the flattened piston rod pulls said plates during the last part of the stroke, when the edge of the controlled plate butts against the end of the container, thus assuring the maximum displacement of the container. the fat.
Although in fig. 1 and 7 the container is shown as being held in line with its lower bead 20, this container can also be maintained by the maneuvering device at the location of the upper luff 18, as is the case in the apparatus shown in FIG. 11.
One of the main advantages of the apparatus shown and described is to allow the grease containers to be emptied directly at the point of use, by means of the operating device cooperating with the container, so that containers of different length in combination with the same operating device. Thus, a series of receptacles of different dimensions can be provided, for example a 1 kg receptacle, a 2 kg receptacle, an 8 kg receptacle, etc:
, having the same diameter but the length of which varies according to the importance of the content or of the desired volumetric capacity, as well as a maneuvering device cooperating effectively with the containers of different lengths and engaging the lower or upper beads.
Thus, in fig. 11, there is shown an embodiment of the apparatus according to the invention in which the receptacles (of different lengths although having the same diameter) can be entered in line with their upper beads 18, by several adjustable members, 110 having claws 111 and slidably mounted in guide pieces 112, articulated at 118 to tabs 114 integral with the base plate 48 or fixed to the latter. Springs 48 tend to move the guides 112 and, consequently, the members 110, in the desired direction so that the latter engage with the bead 18 - of the container.
The members 110 have a series of teeth 115 on their outer surfaces, these teeth being intended to be engaged by a pawl 116 brought elastically into contact with said teeth by a spring 117. A pin 118, extending transversely through an extension in rod form 119 of. pawl 116 is intended to slide in a groove 120 of sufficient depth to allow the pawl 116 to engage with the teeth 115.
Two shallower recesses 121 are also provided perpendicular to the groove 120, to receive the pin 118 when it is desired to hold the pawl 116 in a retracted and inactive position, which can be done by pulling the knob 122 and rotating it. from 90.
By placing the container 15 in the operating device shown in FIG. 11, the gripping members 110 are adjusted by displacement in the direction of the arrow 123, until the claws 111 come to grip the bead 18 of the container. In this position, the pawl holds the members 110 in place and the grease can then be expelled from the container by the operation of the handle 124. The handle 124 is similar to the handle 73, except that it has a rim. year 125.
It is understood that the various variations of the various elements of the various embodiments shown can be combined in different ways. Thus, any of the ejector and controlled plate shapes shown in the drawings can be used with any of the actuators. Likewise, the piston rod 49 of the ratchet type, or the friction piston rod may be employed in place of the threaded piston rod in any of the embodiments of the apparatus according to in. vention.
Furthermore, although in Figs. 1 and 7 show a fixed part and a movable part (44 and 45) engaging with the bead 20 of the container, several movable parts similar to the part 45 can be provided, instead of the fixed part 44. In addition , in the embodiment shown in- fig. 11, one or more of the guides 112 may be fixed relative to the plate 43 instead of being articulated to the latter.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 12, the piston rod 126 of the positive actuation device is surrounded at one point by a friction plate 127 in which is formed an opening 128 slightly larger than the diameter of the piston rod 126, and intended to be engaged, at a point 129, offset from the opening 128, by an operating lever 58 pivotally mounted at 59 in a manner analogous to that shown in FIG. 1. A spring 180 tends to return the friction plate 127 to its initial position by frictional contact between it and the rod 128.
The spring 130 also tends to rotate the handle 58 to bring it into its open position. Although this is not shown in fig. 12, in the embodiment shown in this figure, there is provided a spring similar to the spring 66, so that the handle 58 can be more reliably returned to its or green or initial position.
In other respects, plate 43 is analogous to plate 43 shown in fig. 1, except that a deep recess 131 is provided for receiving the free end of the piston rod 126 as well as the stop pin 132, so that these two members can be completely erased. In fig. 12, the plate 43 has also been represented with an exa dimension managed in the transverse direction. In the apparatus of FIG. 13, the piston rod 49 is engaged by a pawl 133 mounted on a pivot 134 carried by the handle 58.
The pawl 133 is resiliently biased towards the piston rod 49 by a coil spring. 135, while a screw 136 adjusts the extreme position of the pawl 133 relative to the handle 58. Thus, when the handle 58 is in the fully retracted position and is moved in the direction of arrow 137, the pawl 133 will be released. of the rod 49, so that the latter can be moved rearward. A spring 138 is used to open the handle 58.
A plunger 139, biased by a spring 140, serves to elastically hold the rod 49 in any desired position. In the embodiments shown in FIGS. 16 to 26 inclusive, a collar 6 of the bottom of the container has a part 8, more or less cylindrical and extending sufficiently in the axial direction to ensure a frictional contact and a tight seal with the corresponding part 9, more or less cylindrical, of a part 5 of the bottom intended to be moved internally in order to constitute the ejector.
It will be noted that the cylindrical part 9 of the bottom 5 forms an extension of an annular part 10 of this bottom, having a U-shaped cross section, serving to reinforce the bottom 5 and also to ensure a frictional contact. more satisfactory seal between surfaces 8 and 9.
The bottom 5 then extends externally by a peripheral part 11 and ends with a cylindrical peripheral part or cylindrical guide collar 12, intended to come more or less strongly or slightly in contact with the internal surface of the cylindrical wall 16 of the container, in order to thus serve as an ejector when the base 5 is advanced in the direction of arrow 29 during the expulsion of the contents of the container.
Inside the container and against the bottom 5 is disposed a lining disc 14, made of any suitable material, such as cardboard, cardboard, rubber or rubber composition, intended to ensure a better hermetic seal between the bottom 5 and the cylindrical wall 16 when this bottom is advanced in the direction of arrow 29, for the expulsion of the contents of the container.
In normal use of the embodiments shown in Figs. 16 to 26 inclusive, the threaded cap 36 is lifted from the threaded collar 34 of the container, and the latter is placed in the active position between the parts 44 and 45 engaging with the relet ring, as shown in figs. 16 and 17.
Then, the two handles 56 and 58 of the operating device are gripped in one hand and by a single operation, that is to say the opening and closing of the hand, the handle 58 receives a movement of. 'oscillation, around pivot 59, thus causing pawl 133 to move without useful effect over each notch of rod 49 while handle 58 is moved in the direction of arrow 137, and forcing pawl 133 to engage with the next notch of the rod 49 when the handle is moved in the opposite direction,
to advance rod 49 and plate 161 in the direction of arrow 29, the extent of one or more notches. As a result of this forward movement of the rod 49 and of the plate 161, the bottom 5 is pressed into the container, in opposition to the frictional resistance offered by the surfaces 8 and 9 in frictional contact with one another. the other, the bottom 5 of the container then serving as an ejector for expelling the contents of the container through the threaded collar 34 of the latter.
If desired, a spout or other dispensing pipe may be screwed or otherwise attached to the neck 34 of the container, in order to dispense the contents of the latter into any suitable opening, for example into the opening of a container. housing, etc.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 20 and 21, the collar 6 of the bottom of the container has a cylindrical part 13; extending parallel to the cylindrical wall 16 of the body of the container and spaced from this wall 16 by a distance more or less equal to the thickness of the cylindrical part 12 of the bottom 5, in order thus to form a more tight seal between the bottom and body of the container while it is stored, so as to better prevent the contents from leaking out. It can thus be seen that by the arrangement of the annular flange 12 of the bottom 5 between the cylindrical wall 16 of the body of the container and the cylindrical part 13 of the flange 6, a more extended seal surface is provided between the movable bottom of the receptacle. and the latter.
In order to increase the rigidity of the collar 6, the more or less cylindrical part 8 is folded outwardly and extended by an annular bead 7. In the embodiment of FIGS. 22 and 23, the flange 6 in engagement with the bottom comprises a flat annular part 4, and the more or less cylindrical part 8 is extended by an annular part 3 having a more or less curved cross section, in principle matching the curvature of the cross section of the annular part 10 of the bottom 5,
in order thus to ensure contact between the collar 6 and the bottom by means of a series of annular surfaces extending at different angles with respect to one another, such for example as the surface more or less flat 4, which is more or less perpendicular to the axis, the cylindrical annular surface 8, more or less parallel to the axis, and the curved surface 3, extending in principle transversely to the axis.
In this embodiment, the more or less planar part 11 of the bottom 5 is folded back on itself, as indicated at 2, thus giving greater rigidity to this annular part 11, so as to ensure closer contact. with the corresponding part of the collar 6 receiving the bottom 5.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 24 and 25, the movable bottom 5 has two annular parts 141 and 142 extending in opposite directions and having a U-shaped cross section, while the flange 6 receiving the bottom has an annular part 143, having a U-shaped cross section and extending internally into the U groove 142 of the bottom 5, thereby providing a tighter seal between the bottom of the body of the container when the latter is stored or during transport;
this more effectively prevents leakage of the contents while the device is not in use. The bottom 5 has a cylindrical portion 144, extending forward, intended to come into contact with the cylindrical wall of the container and having an annular groove 145, in which is disposed a packing ring 146, made of an elastic material. or expandable. The packing ring 146, intended to bear against the cylindrical wall of the container, may be formed of rubber or a composition of rubber impervious to grease or oil, or other material. In the embodiment of FIG. 26,
there is provided an additional lining disc 14 and the U annular groove 142 of the bottom 5, in which is intended to fit the U annular part 143 of part 6, is located fairly close to the groove 145 receiving the annular ring.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 27, 28, 30 and 32, the base 147 of the container is fixed directly to the cylindrical body 16 of the latter, which contains a packing ring 14. The piston rod 49 is then provided with a controlled plate 148 and im . annular knife 149 having a series of cutting edges 150 arranged annularly and chamfered;
these cutting edges meet at points -151 and are intended first of all to penetrate into the bottom of the container, in order to reduce the force required to cut the bottom of the container annularly. Said cutting edges 150 can be curved, or be inclined alternately in one direction and the other, as shown in FIG. 32. A packing ring 152; - made of an elastic or expandable material, is placed between the annular knife 149 and the plate 148, to increase the sealing action of the disc 14.
In order to allow the knife 149 to come very close to the cylindrical body 16 of the container, the bead 20 can be slightly offset outwards, as shown in the variant of FIG. 35, so that the outer diameter of the knife 149 may be such that it fits more or less tightly into the cylindrical body 16 of the container, so as to also serve as an ejector for expelling the contents of the latter. .
In fig. 27, 29, 31; 33 and 34, a. another variant of the container cover; this variant can be applied to a container having the bottom shape shown in FIGS. 27, 28 and 35, or having the bottom shape shown in FIGS. 1, 7 and 11 to 26 inclusive.
In this variant, the lid 17 of the container does not have a collar, such as the collar 34, and, instead, it simply has a central opening 153 which can be obtained. by circularly notching the lid 17 of the container, the part thus notched being able to be detached by any suitable tool whatever to form the opening 153. This opening 153 can be covered (while the container is stored, or is transported, or n 'is not used) of a tin disc welded to the outer face of the container lid and comprising a tab with the aid of which it can be torn from this lid 17.
The upper bead 18 has three notches 154, which are obtained by stamping using a suitable punch. A disc-shaped closure or attachment piece 155 is provided and has a central opening in which a dispensing spout 156 is fixed. This piece 155 also has an outer rim 157 intended to surround the bead 18 and comprising three hooks. 158 extending inwardly, intended to pass through the notches 154 formed in the upper bead 18 of the container, and which can be brought into engagement with said bead by rotating the part 155 slightly, thereby determining a locking between this part 155, the dispensing spout 156 and the container.
A packing ring 159, made of an elastic or expandable material, is disposed in the annular flange 157, as shown particularly in Figs. 27, 29 and 34, and intended to come into contact with the bead 18, in order to thus obtain a narrower seal preventing the passage of fluid elsewhere than through the opening 153 and the dispensing spout 156.
In the embodiments represented by FIGS. 16 to 26 inclusive, the piston rod 49 carries a plate 161 which is secured in position by means of a pin 160.
