Schutzhelm. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein mit Polsterung versehener Schutzhelm, welcher insbesondere für Militär usw. ver wendbar ist. Es ist bekannt, durch Ändern der Dicke der Polsterung, zum Beispiel durch Abtragen von Material, einen Schutzhelm der Kopfform und der Kopfgrösse des jeweiligen Trägers anzupassen.
Das Neue bestellt nun darin, dass die elastische Polsterung Mittel aufweist, um deren Innenfläche mehr oder weniger stark von der Wandung des Helmes weg zu drän gen. Es kann zum Beispiel ein streifenförmi- ges Polster auf der Innenwand des Schutz helmes angebracht sein, welcher Streifen durch Druck von oben und unten mehr oder weniger stark nach innen ausgebaucht wer den kann. Das Zusammendrücken des Pol sters wird am einfachsten mit Hilfe von durch das Polster in der Höhenrichtung mehrfach durchgezogene Schnüre herbeige führt, welch letztere mehr oder weniger straff angezogen werden, um so den Helm auf einfache Weise und ohne Abtragung von Material verschiedenen Kopfformen anzu passen.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungs gegenstandes ist in beiliegender Zeichnung in einem Schnitt schematisch dargestellt: In der Helmschale 1, die aus Metall be stehen kann, ist eine Ledereinlage 2 in an sich bekannter Weise bei 3 befestigt. Zwi schen der Schale 1 und der Ledereinlage 2 liegt eine elastische Polsterung 4, die im wesentlichen aus einem elastischen Material besteht, zum Beispiel aus Gummi, Schwamm gummi, aus Rosshaar, gummiertem Rosshaar usw. Die Polsterung bildet einen ringförmi gen Streifen.
Durch das Polster ist in der Höhenrichtung desselben eine Schnur 5 durchgeführt, deren eines Ende 8 an der Ledereinlage 2 durch einen Knoten gehal ten ist. Das obere Ende G der Schnur 5 ist ebenfalls geknotet. Wird die die Polsterung zweckmässig in angenähert paralleler Rich tung zur Helmwand durchlaufende Schnur 5 mehr oder weniger stark angezogen und das untere Ende beispielsweise durch Ver- knotung 8 festgelegt, so wird die Polsterung 4 mehr oder weniger stark nach innen aus gebaucht, so dass die Inuenfläche der Pol sterung enger-wird und der Helm nunmehr auf einen kleineren Kopf als vorher passt, wie durch punktierte Linien 7 angedeutet.
Dieselbe Schnur 5 könnte mehrfach durch das Polster hindurch geführt sein, um durch Zug an ihr die Ausbauchung am ganzen innern Umfang gleichzeitig und gleichmässig erzielen zu können. Es könnte auch ein 0- förmiger Gummistreifen mit nach unten ge kehrten Schenkeln verwendet werden. Es kann auch eine schlauchartige Polsterung vorgesehen werden usw. In jedem Fall kann durch' Druck von unten und oben auf die Polsterung ein mehr oder weniger starkes Hineindrängen derselben in den Hohlraum des Helmes erreicht werden.
