Periodically whirling dry absorption refrigeration units. In the construction of refrigeration machines based on the dry absorption system, it has so far been necessary to place the condenser over the evaporator so that the liquefied refrigerant can flow into the evaporator or into a storage vessel arranged in it.
This is particularly the case if you want to retain the essential advantages of dry absorption, namely the lack of valves and the simplicity of the machine, which is due to the omission of the absorption medium return.
The arrangement of the condenser, which is a very extensive part of the machine, above the evaporator, leads to unpractical and unsightly constructions in household refrigerators, for example. The aesthetic impression is of particular importance with household items.
If you order the condenser without special measures under the evaporator, respectively. under the insulated storage vessel, you lose about 10% of the refrigeration capacity, because the expulsion pressure during the expulsion period, the liquefied refrigerant only so long from the condenser into the storage vessel, respectively. is pushed into the evaporator as the condenser temperature rises. Experience has shown that around 10% of the refrigerant, the "post-period", remains in the condenser with this arrangement and is lost for the refrigeration capacity.
Attempts have been made to remedy this problem by installing an auxiliary condenser over the evaporator. However, this measure leads, if it is to be effective, again to a disruptive piece of equipment above the evaporator, which one wanted to avoid.
The present invention now makes it possible to accommodate the condenser completely or partially below the insulated storage vessel arranged above the evaporator, without a loss of power occurring. The aid that must be used according to the invention is an auxiliary storage vessel, in combination with a special guide for the refrigerant.
Up to now it has been customary in dry absorption machines to connect the expeller absorber to the condenser and to have a downward line from the condenser to an insulated storage vessel on which an evaporator coil hangs that protrudes into the room to be cooled.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the dry absorption chiller forming the subject of the present invention is partially shown. 1 with the line is referred to, which leads directly from the (not dargestell th in the drawing) expeller absorber to a main storage vessel 2 arranged in the insulation of a refrigerator 10. The main storage vessel carries an evaporator coil 3, which is located in the room to be cooled or in a container 4 filled with brine.
From the highest point of the storage vessel \? the line 5 goes to your auxiliary storage vessel 6, where it opens at the lowest point.
The condenser 7 is attached above or next to the auxiliary storage vessel 6. The condenser 7 and auxiliary storage vessel 6 are wholly or partially lower than the main storage vessel 2. Line 5 and auxiliary storage vessel 6 can be thermally insulated.
During the expulsion period, the condenser 7 acts as a kind of reflux condenser; the liquefied refrigerant collects in the auxiliary storage vessel 6. The auxiliary storage vessel 6 is large enough to accommodate the refrigerant driven out. If the expulsion stops and the refrigerant pressure from the expeller absorber drops, the liquid refrigerant is sucked up from your auxiliary storage vessel 6 into the main storage vessel 2. The main storage vessel 2i is also large enough to accommodate the amount of refrigerant expelled.
As soon as refrigerant is conveyed to the main storage vessel 2, the refrigerant evaporates in the evaporator 3 in a known manner.
