Dry absorption chiller. All known dry absorption refrigeration machines require mechanical shut-off devices, which must be adjusted accordingly when changing the heating season to cooling season or vice versa.
While the refrigerant vapors go from the cooker absorber through the condenser to the evaporator during the heating period, the refrigerant vapors during the cooling period must be routed in a different way from the evaporator to the cooker absorber, which was the cooker during the heating period, because the vapors are conducted during cooling period through the capacitor would seriously impair the economy of the machine.
The subject matter of the present invention is a dry absorption refrigeration machine in which the cooker absorber and the evaporator are connected to one another by open pipe systems, the open end of a pipe system being shut off by a liquid which is at the highest temperature , to which the liquid in the cooker absorber is heated and is indifferent to the cold medium vapors and the whole is designed in such a way,
that the refrigerant vapors go through the condenser during the heating period without the use of a mechanical shut-off device and take a different path during the cooling period.
The subject matter of the present invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the following drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical longitudinal section through the dry absorption refrigeration machine, FIG. 2 shows a section along the line cb in FIG. 3 is a view of the machine from above.
The cooker absorber 10 is provided with the heating tubes 1, which are equipped with electrical coils (not shown in the drawing). Up close to the bottom of the cooker absorber 10 protrudes the end 2 of the pipe 4, the other end 3 verbun with the upper parts of the evaporator 9 is the. In the cooker absorber 10 perforated partition plates 11 are attached, on which the dry (if not shown in the drawing) absorbent such. B. calcium chloride, is loosely stored. On the bottom of the cooker absorber z. B.
Paraffin oil or another liquid 12 ge stored, which is indifferent to the highest temperature to which the liquid in the cooker absorber is heated, and to the refrigerant vapors. The liquid covers the end 2 of the pipe line 4 up to a certain height. From the upper part of the cooker absorber 10, the line 6 leads to the condenser 7, the lower end of which is connected to the evaporator by a line which is guided with its end 5 to close to the bottom of the evaporator 9.
The liquid refrigerant 8, ammonia, is stored on the bottom of the evaporator and covers the end 5 of the condenser 7 up to a certain height. All pipe systems, cooker absorbers and evaporators are hermetically sealed. All the usual equipment for automatic order switching from the heating period to the cooling period and vice versa, as well as floats to regulate the liquid level in the evaporator, etc. are omitted in the drawing, since the other construction and processes of a dry absorption refrigerator are well known.
Likewise, cooling water lines of the machine are not shown.
The machine works in the following way: During the heating season, the electrical coils in the tubes 1 are heated, which give off heat to the calcium chloride. The heat causes the calcium chlorine to release the absorbed ammonia vapors, which flow through the line 6 and the condenser 7, where they liquefy, whereupon the liquefied ammonia from the condenser through the line end 5 into the liquid ammonia 8 in the Evaporator. 9 flows and accumulates there. Since the end of the line 2 is blocked by the liquid 12, the ammonia vapors cannot get out of the coherent absorber through line 4 to the evaporator.
If the liquid level of the ammonia 8 in the evaporator 9 has risen to a certain level, the machine is switched to the cooling period. The coils in the tubes 1 are switched off and the cooling devices (not shown in the drawing) of the cooker absorber, which serves as an absorber during the cooling period, are put into operation. As a result of the cooling, the pressure in the entire system drops and the ammonia 8 in the evaporator evaporates.
The resulting ammonia vapors are passed through the line end 3, pipe line 4, pipe end 2, liquid 12 to the interior of the Koeherabsorbers 10, where the vapors are absorbed by the calcium chloride. When the ammonia evaporates in the evaporator 9, cold is generated.
