Regulating brake for calculating machines. The subject of the present patent application is a regulating brake for calculating machines with a hand crank drive.
These machines are known to be provided with a regulating brake in order to prevent an all too large speed of the machine transmission.
In most cases, oil brakes are used. However, these have considerable disadvantages, for example that the oil becomes less or less fluid depending on the ambient temperature, so that the braking effect fluctuates and this can lead to calculation errors.
In the case of the regulating brake at hand, the centrifugal force causes balls to interact with an inclined surface and thus on the other hand with a braking surface.
In the accompanying drawings, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated by an exemplary embodiment and a variant, namely: FIG. 1 is a view from below, FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section, and FIG. 3 is a variant.
The brake rotates around axis 1, which is mounted in the side walls 2 and 3 of the Ma machine. It has a capsule 4, which is driven back and forth by a gear sector 5 fastened on the axis 6 of the machine transmission by means of its gear 7, and two discs 8 and 9 axially displaceable on the sleeve 10 of the capsule 4, which are rigidly connected to one another are. They are removed from the capsule 4 by means of the cams 11 of the disc 9, which in slots 12:
the capsule 4 protrude, taken along. The disk 8 is provided with slots 13 which serve as guides for the balls 14. The disc 9 serves as a brake disc. It is pushed by the spring 15 from the brake lining 16, which is loosely on the stationary brake disc 17, and lies against the balls. 14th
As soon as the permissible speed of the machine transmission and the capsule 4 is exceeded, the centrifugal force of the balls overcomes. 14 the tension of the spring 15 in that the balls 14 roll radially outward along the flat conical surface 18 of the capsule. The balls 14 press the brake disk 9 against the brake pad 1.6 and this against the stationary disk 17. This brake disk 17 is held on the bush 10 by the ring 19.
It is held against rotation by the pin 20 which is riveted into the wall 2 and which enters the recess 21 of the flange 22 of the brake disk 17. The brake lining 16 consists for example of cork mass. It lies loosely between the two brake disks 9 and 17.
The slots 13 in the drive plate 8 for the balls can also, as shown in Fig. 2, run obliquely to the radii in order to achieve a different braking effect when the brake is back and forth.
The whole brake forms a self-contained, pushed up on the support axis 1 and is therefore easy to remove from the machine and use it. It is only the fixed brake disc 17 held secured against rotation by the pin provided in the Maschi nenwand.
The brake that has been drawn and described has the advantage that it is lightweight and very easy to use.
