Automatic barrel closure. The subject of the invention is an automatic tube closure, which is characterized in that an end cap attached to the tube neck has a central outlet opening at the upper end, which is closed by a cone valve which is pressed onto its seat by an elastic intermediate member,
however, when the tube is pressed, the tube material opens so that it emerges in an axial direction.
Automatic closure devices for tubes have already become known, in which a spring-loaded closing nipple is lifted from its seat in the closure cap through the tube material and the material can exit through a lateral outlet opening. In addition to the disadvantage of a large amount of force required, these closure devices also have the serious disadvantage that the lateral outlet opening is very easily obstructed by drying tube material and thus the closure is made unusable.
Because of the exposed position of the outlet opening at the tip of the closure cap and because of the small size of the cap due to its construction, however, drying can hardly be prevented.
With the device according to the invention, all of these disadvantages are completely eliminated in one fell swoop, since the bonus valve used opens with a slight pressure on the tube and, on the other hand, there are no narrow openings or small channels that could be moved by drying tube material .
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown schematically.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section; Fig. 2 is a section along the line II-II through the closure device; Fig. 3 shows the loading of the device by screwing ben on the tube neck.
The closure device consists of an outer closure cap 1, which has a central opening 2 at the top, which is hermetically sealed by the bonus valve 3. The necessary contact pressure of the valve is supplied by an elastic inter mediate member (for example a rubber ring 4), which is on the one hand against a support surface 5 in the cap 1, on the other hand against the rigidly connected to the valve head 3, provided with openings 15 cross plate 6 supports. Instead of a rubber ring, a metal spring can also be used, which preferably has a coating that is insensitive to the tube material (Fig. 3).
The valve is installed in the cap 1 in such a way that the valve disk 3 is inserted from above, but the transverse plate 6 is inserted from below, whereupon the connection of the two parts by gluing, pressing and the like of the valve stem 7 into the hollow extension 8 the transverse plate takes place.
The cavity 9 of the end cap 1, which is used to accommodate the elastic intermediate member, is then closed at the bottom by an insert, for example a ring 10, which can be pressed, glued, screwed in, etc. again.
The fastening of the closure on the tube mouth 11 can either be permanent, for example by means of a flanged edge 12 (FIG. 1), or it can be removed; by providing the ring 10 with a thread 13 which can be screwed onto the thread of the tube mouth (FIG. 3).
In order to ensure a particularly reliable sealing device of the tube contents, for example for essential oils and the like, a seal 14 made of elastic material can be attached to the underside of the cross plate 6, which rests tightly on the tube mouth.
The function of the tube closure he follows in such a way that when pressure is applied to the tube, the tube material lifts the transverse plate 6 and the valve plate 3, rises through the openings 15 of the transverse plate 6, in order to finally emerge in the axial direction from the mouth opening 2 of the cap .
Depending on the nature of the tube material and the size of the tube, it has proven advantageous to provide the closed, flat end of the tube with a rolling device, for example with a key, which makes it much easier to squeeze out the tube contents is able to.
