  Verfahren zur Herstellung des     2-Chlor-2'-aminoazobenzols.       Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von     2-Chlor-          2'-aminoazobenzol,    das dadurch gekennzeich  net ist, dass man     2-Chlor-2'-nitroazobenzol     mit einem Reduktionsmittel behandelt. Die  neue Verbindung soll als     Farbstoff    und als  Zwischenprodukt für die Herstellung von  Farbstoffen Verwendung finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  190 Gewichtsteile     2-Chlor-2'-nitroazoben-          zol    werden in 6000 Raumteilen Alkohol ge  löst. In die kochende Lösung fliesst im  Verlauf einer Stunde eine Lösung von 520       Gewichtsteilen    kristallisiertem Schwefel  natrium in 520 Raumteile Wasser ein. Die  Lösung wird mit     verdünnter    Salzsäure ver  setzt, bis     Farbenumschlag    nach Rotorange  erfolgt, und dann mit 10000 Raumteilen Was  ser versetzt. Die Fällung wird abgesaugt;  durch     Umkristallisieren    aus Alkohol wird    .das     2-Chlor-2,-amino-azobenzol    vom Schmelz  punkt     113-114'    C rein erhalten.
