Description
Beleuchtungskörper mit Reffektor. Die Erändung betrifft einen Beleuchtungs körper mit Reflektor und besteht darin, dass der Reflektor durch einen nicht metallischen Körper, der mit einer diffus reflektierenden Oberflächenschicht versehen ist, gebildet ist.
Nach einer Ausführungsform der Erfindung sind in die Oberflächenschicht des Refiektors kleine unregelmässig liegende, spiegelnde Teilchen, zum Beispiel Glimmer- oder Glas teilchen, eingebettet, wobei der Körper des Reflektors zweckmässig aus einem formbaren Baustoff besteht. SolcheReflektoren sindwe- nig empfindlich gegen Witterungseinflüsse und ihre diffus reflektierende Oberfläche ist sehr widerstandsfähig. Ein wesentlicher Vor teil derartigerReflektoren besteht darin, dass sie sehr grosse Abmessungen erhalten können.
Sie können beispielsweise mit einem Durch messer bis etwa 2 in hergestellt werden. Versuche, ähnliche Reflektoren aus Metall herzustellen, scheiterten einerseits an der Schwierigkeit der technischen Ausführung, anderseits an den hohen Kosten.
Als Werkstoff für die Herstellung des Kdrpers des Reflektors eignet sich insbeson- dere Faserstoff, der mit einem an sich be kannten Bindemittel, zum Beispiel Gips, zu einer Masse vermischt wird, die gepresst oder auch in eine Form gegossen werden kann. Nach einer vorteilhaften Ausführung wird die Oberflächenschicht des Reflektors mit einem hellen Hartlack überzogen, in den vor der Erhärtung feine Glimmer- oder Glasteil- eben, oder gleichwirkende Stoffe unregel mässig liegend eingebettet werden.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungs beispiel eines Beleuchtungskörpers gemäss der Erfindung schematisch dargestellt. Es bezeichnet a den Reflektor,<B>b</B> eine Lichtquelle, und <B>o</B> einen Schirm, beispielsweise aus Milch glas. Der nach oben gerichtete Teil der von der Lichtquelle ausgehenden Gesamtstrahlung wird von der reflektierenden Oberflächen- schiebt <B>-</B> des Reflektors aufgenommen und diffus in den Raum zerstreut.
Die Zeichnung soll lediglich die Anwen dung des neuen Beleuchtungskörpers mitRe- fiektor veranschaulichen. Ihre Form undAn- ordnung wird dem jeweiligen Verwendungs zweck angepasst. <B>_</B>

According to one embodiment of the invention, small, irregularly lying, reflective particles, for example mica or glass particles, are embedded in the surface layer of the reflector, the body of the reflector expediently being made of a malleable building material. Such reflectors are not very sensitive to the effects of the weather and their diffusely reflecting surface is very resistant. A major advantage of such reflectors is that they can be given very large dimensions.
For example, they can be manufactured with a diameter of up to about 2 in. Attempts to manufacture similar reflectors made of metal failed on the one hand because of the difficulty of the technical design and on the other because of the high costs.
A particularly suitable material for the manufacture of the body of the reflector is fibrous material which is mixed with a binding agent known per se, for example plaster of paris, to form a mass which can be pressed or poured into a mold. According to an advantageous embodiment, the surface layer of the reflector is coated with a light-colored hard lacquer, in which, before hardening, fine mica or glass parts or substances with the same effect are irregularly embedded.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of a lighting fixture according to the invention is shown schematically. It denotes a the reflector, <B> b </B> a light source, and <B> o </B> a screen, for example made of milk glass. The upwardly directed part of the total radiation emanating from the light source is from the reflecting surface - pushes <B> - </B> the reflector picked up and diffused into the room.
The drawing is only intended to illustrate the use of the new lighting fixture with reflector. Their shape and arrangement is adapted to the respective purpose. <B> _ </B>
