Injection device for internal combustion engines. The present invention relates to an injection device for internal combustion engines.
According to the invention: the compression pressure in the combustion chamber of the cylinder of the injection nozzle gives a rotary movement during the injection. This rotational movement expediently changes with the load, so that good combustion is achieved under all loads and any risk of deflagration is avoided.
The drawing relates to an embodiment example of the subject invention and shows a cross section of the cylinder head. The piston is shown near its highest stroke position. In reality, however, the piston would be in a lower position in the shown position of the injection device.
In the cylinder head 22 of the engine, a sleeve 16 is held in place by means of a pump housing 21 which is arranged coaxially thereto and is fastened to the cylinder head in a manner not shown. In the sleeve 16, a sleeve 15 is displaceable, which can move with an edge 15b in an extension 16b of the sleeve 16.
This serves as an air buffer for the sleeve 15 and limits its upward movement, while the inward movement is limited by pushing the edge 15b onto a shoulder of the sleeve 16.
The injection nozzle 14 is screwed from the inside into the sleeve 15 and forms with the piston 3 firmly held by it in the sleeve, the valve housing 6 of a spring-loaded non-return valve 8, which is net angeord immediately in front of the outlet openings 7 of the nozzle 14 and with an axial bore 5 of the piston 3 is in communication.
The piston moves with its in nern end in a pump cylinder 7 and be seated at some distance from this end with the axial bore 5 in connec tion ring groove 4. In the middle is the piston with a multiple thread 19 of a large pitch in a part 17 of the pump housing 21, which protrudes with this into the sleeve 15.
The spring 1.8, which is supported against a shoulder 15a. the sleeve 15 presses. The piston 3, the sleeve 15, the nozzle 14 and the check valve 8 together form a differential piston whose larger piston stage is under the compression sion pressure in the cylinder 22, while the smaller stage acts on the fuel in the pump cylinder.
The fuel is fed to the pump housing 21 through the pipe 1. From the supply line in the pump housing 21, the overflow channel 11 branches off first, which is arranged in a valve 10 and is controlled by a valve 12. This is controlled with the valve 10 by a thumb disk 20 by means of an angle lever mounted on a regulating eccentric 24 and a tappet 13.
Then a channel la branches off from the supply line, which leads into the pump cylinder, and finally a channel 1b leads into an annular channel 1 in the pump housing surrounding the piston 3. The outer part of the pump cylinder is connected through a channel 9 to an annular groove of the valve 10, which when this valve is opened .by the thumb 13 and against the pressure of a ball under the pressure of a spring 10a through a channel 9b with the annular groove 4,
of the piston is connected.
All channels and spaces intended for the fuel supply from the fuel supply pipe 1 to the check valve 8 are filled with fuel during operation. In the outer dead center position of the motor piston 23 is also the differential piston 3, 15 in its outer one. Limit position, the valve 10 is then closed and the valve 12 is open.
During the compression stroke of the engine piston, due to the effect of the compression pressure, the differential piston closes the piston 3 to a, r, n pump cylinder 2 and presses next each on the fuel in the pump cylinder. For the injection, the thumb 20 closes the valve 12 and opens the valve 10, and the fuel is injected through the automatically opening valve 8 into the engine cylinder,
wherein the differential piston together with the nozzle 14 executes a rotation with their outlet openings. The injection he follows until the end of the valve 10 depending on the position of the regulating eccentric 24 earlier or later. The spring 10a only has to overcome the small pressure difference between the pressure of the fuel in space 2 and the pressure in channel 9b.
Since the pressure in the combustion chamber increases with the amount of fuel injected, the pressure also changes during the injection and therefore the nozzle 14 in the differential piston is also shifted against the pressure of the spring 18, each time by an amount corresponding to this pressure turned.
The. Drawn injection device is arranged on each individual cylinder and forms an independent whole with the fuel pump. By rotating the Dau menseheibe 20 on its shaft, the motor can be switched to reverse.
The nozzle rotation results in a very effective mixture of the fuel with the air in the combustion chamber and the penetration of the air through the fuel will increase evenly until the end of the injection due to the increasing pressure in the combustion chamber during the injection.
