Dose.
Can. The invention relates to a can, in particular a tin can, such as are used, for example, as shoe polish cans. In the known cans, the can base and the lid generally form two completely separate parts after opening the can, or these two parts are connected to each other by more or less complicated hinge kidney.
The essence of the invention lies only in the fact that the can lid and the can base are connected by a flat spring of small width, which is fastened, for example riveted, at one end to the can lid and at its other end to the can lower part.
In a can according to the invention, the flat or leaf spring connecting the lower part of the can and the lid serves as a hinge, and this flat spring has a curved shape in the relaxed state that it holds the lid in the open position while it is closed of the lid is converted into an elongated, straight shape resting on the outer surface of the lid and the lower part of the can, in which elongated and therefore tensioned state the flat spring then constantly strives to open the lid.
However, the force of the flat spring when the can is closed is not sufficient to open the lid, be it that it is locked in any way with the lower part of the can, or that a comparatively considerable effort is required, in order to lift the can lid from the can base by, as is generally the case, when the can is closed, the can lid engages resiliently, i.e. with a certain clamping effect, over the can base, which also ensures that the contents of the can are sealed off from the atmosphere.
However, as soon as the locking device of the lid is released in a can according to the invention or the lid is raised by a small amount from its closed position on one side, the spar voltage of the flat spring is sufficient to fully open the lid.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of a can according to the inven tion is shown, namely such an embodiment in which the can is provided with an opening device Publ.
1 shows a can in the closed position; Fig. 2, the can open, and Fig. 3 is an elevation and plan of the can lower part and the lid connec Denden flat spring.
In the drawing, with 1 of the cans lower part and with 3 of the can lid denotes net, the or when the can is closed according to FIG. clamps over the frame 2 on the lower part of the box. At the front of the can lower part 1 of the known opening lever 4 is rotatably fastened be. At one of the fastening point of the off voltage lever 4 diametrically opposite point, the lid 3 of the can and the can base 1 are connected to each other by the flat or leaf spring 5, which respectively on the cover 3 and the can base 1 by means of the rivet 6. 7 is riveted.
In the relaxed state, the flat spring 5 has the curved shape shown in FIG. 3 and, when the lid 3 is closed, is converted into the stretched, straight shape shown in FIG. 1 and is thereby tensioned. When the can is closed, the flat spring 5 lies smoothly against the outer surface of the lid and the lower part of the can: If the can lid 3 is now raised on one side by means of the opening device 4, the flat spring 5 then causes the lid to fold up into the @ in Fig. 2 drawn Nete position, in which position the cover 3 is held firmly by the relaxed spring 5 until it is closed again.
According to the invention cans of all types can be formed. The shape and size of the can are not important. By designing the can according to the invention, the after part of the known cans is therefore eliminated that the user dirtied his fingers when lifting the lid, even if the can with one of the known opening devices, such as a lower part on the can hinged lever or cam is provided.
The constant connection between the lid and the lower part of the can by the flat spring also has the considerable advantage, especially in the case of smaller cans, that the mostly weak cover cannot suffer any changes in shape by being held on the can in the open position. Despite the considerable advantages that a box designed according to the invention, in particular has a tin box, this box is extremely easy and cheap to manufacture because the hinge is formed solely by the short flat spring, and besides that, any disturbances in the Do not use in a can according to the invention.
