Ski. Bekanntlich werden seit einiger Zeit zum Schutze der Kanten von Holzskiern, Streifen aus Metall oder zähem Kunststoff in die Kanten der Skier eingelegt. Auf diese Weise wurde ein Übelstand beseitigt, der sich seit langem unangenehm bemerkbar gemacht hatte.
Eine weitere Unannehmlichkeit ist das oft lästige und unter gewissen Verhältnissen nur schwer durchführbare Wachsen der Lauf fläche zwecks Erhöhung .der Gleitfähigkeit und zur Verhinderung des Anklebens von nassem Schnee.
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Ski, bei welchem mindestens der letzt erwähnte Übelstand behoben ist. Gemäss der Erfindung weist der Ski an seiner Unterseite eine aus Gummi bestehende Lauffläche auf. Die Gummischicht kann dabei direkt am Ski holz oder auf einem am Ski befestigten He tallband befestigt sein, so, dass er gleichzeitig einen wirksamen Kantenschutz ergibt. Im letzteren Falle wird sie mit Vorteil auf das Metallband aufvulkanisiert. In beiliegender Zeichnung ist eine bei spielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungs gegenstandes dargestellt.
Es zeigen; Fig. 1 den Querschnitt durch einen Ski mit Metallbelag an seiner Unterseite und einem auf letzterem angeordneten Gummi belag als Lauffläche, F'ig. 2 die Spitze des Skis mit an der selben befestigtem Metallband, Fig. 3 die Befestigung .des Metallbandes am Hinterende des Skis, Fig. 4 eine Detailvariante.
Am Holz des Skis 1 ist, zum Beispiel durch Kleben oder mittelst .Schrauben oder Stiften, ein verhältnismässig dünnes Metall band 2 befestigt. Dasselbe besteht vorzugs weise aus einem leichten und nichtrostenden Material, wie Anticorodal, Duraluminium oder dergleichen. Auf .dem Metallband ist eine dünne Gummischicht aufgebracht, und zwar am besten aufvulkanisiert. Für diese als Gleitfläche dienende Schicht 3 wird mit Vorteil ein etwas elastischer Hartgummi ver wendet.
An der Skispitze und am Hinter- ende des Skis ist gemäss' Fig. 2 und 3 das Metallband 2 zti Lappen 4 bezw. 5 aufgebogen und mittelst Schrauben oder Stiften 6 am Ski holz befestigt. Das Metallband könnte auch mittelst Nieten befestigt sein, die das Ski holz durchsetzen (nicht gezeichnet).
Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 4 ist das Metallband auch seitlich aufgebogen und mittelst Schrauben oder Stiften 6 am Ski holz befestigt.
Der Gummibelag kann in der Längsrich tung der .Skier mit parallel laufenden Rillen versehen sein. Auch das Metallband 2 kann entsprechend gerillt sein. Das Metallband 2 bildet eine elastische Verstärkung des Ski holzes, während seine Kante einen sehr wirk samen Kantenschutz ergibt. Infolge der er wähnten Verstärkung kann das Holz des Skis dünner gewählt werden und sogar kleinere Fehler aufweisen. Bei erhöhter Elastizität des Skis ist .dessen Biegungsfestigkeit trotzdem eine höhere. Die Unterseite des Skis muss nicht mehr geschliffen werden; das Metall band kann dirkt auf der gehobelten Fläche angebracht werden.
Trotz der erwähnten Vor teile wird sich daher der Preis der neuen Skier nicht höher stellen als derjenige der auf dem Markte befindlichen.

A relatively thin metal band 2 is attached to the wood of the ski 1, for example by gluing or by means of screws or pins. The same is preferably made of a light and rustproof material such as anticorodal, duralumin or the like. A thin rubber layer is applied to the metal band, preferably by vulcanization. For this layer 3 serving as a sliding surface, a somewhat elastic hard rubber is advantageously used.
At the tip of the ski and at the rear end of the ski, according to FIGS. 2 and 3, the metal band 2 zti flaps 4 and 5 bent up and fastened to the ski wood by means of screws or pins 6. The metal band could also be attached by means of rivets that penetrate the ski wood (not shown).
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the metal band is also bent laterally and fastened to the ski wood by means of screws or pins 6.
The rubber covering can be provided with parallel grooves in the longitudinal direction of the .Skier. The metal strip 2 can also be correspondingly grooved. The metal band 2 forms an elastic reinforcement of the ski wood, while its edge results in a very effective seed edge protection. As a result of the reinforcement mentioned, the wood of the ski can be chosen thinner and even have minor defects. If the ski is more elastic, its flexural strength is still higher. The underside of the ski no longer needs to be sanded; the metal tape can be attached directly to the planed surface.
Despite the advantages mentioned, the price of the new skis will therefore not be higher than that of the ones on the market.
