Fig. 6 endlich veranschaulicht eine wei tere Arbeitsmöglichkeit.
Two-roll rotary press for perfecting printing. There are double-width rotary printing works that work with a single-wide paper strand, so-called pony printing units, and which are provided with a pair of turning rods that offset the paper strand by its width and turn the side to be turned up and that with a second pair of turning rods are equipped, which offset the paper strand in the same way, but in such a way that the page previously on top remains on top.
On the other hand, multi-roll rotary printing machines designed as pony printing units are also known, in which the common folding unit is arranged in the middle between two printing units.
These known arrangements do not offer the possibility of alternately having any side of the product appear two-colored and optionally also three-colored, so that a whole series of different types of production can be carried out, as shown in detail below is.
The invention solves this problem with partial use of the known elements of the above-mentioned arrangements by a two-roll rotary machine for perfecting, consisting of two groups of printing units and a folding unit arranged between them, one of which consists of a double-width printing unit for double-sided printing And two parallel turning bars,
while the other is formed by a double-width printing unit, which is equipped with two groups of turning bars, one of which adjusts the paper strand by its width or more and turns the side that is at the bottom before turning upwards, the other, however, in such a way that that the page that was previously on top remains on top.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: Fig. 1 shows the new machine with a paper guide for straight printing in the side view, Fig. 2 the turning device in the on looks at the new machine, Fig. 3 the turning device in plan view, Fig. 4 to 6 the new machine with ver different paper guides for color printing and Fig. 7 the arrangement of the turning device in a slightly different embodiment.
In FIGS. 1 a, 3 a, 4 a and 4 b, 5 a and 5 b, 6 a and 6 b, the types of printing are indicated which can be achieved with the paper guide indicated in the corresponding FIGS. 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the turning device consists of a turning bar 8, through which the paper web receives a deflection by 90 ', from a guide device 10 that controls the The paper strand deflects by <B> 180 '</B> and from a second turning bar 11, which, seen in plan view, lies at a right angle to the turning bar 8 and which in turn deflects the paper strand by <B> 90 '</B> granted. In the turning device, another turning bar 9 is installed, which is parallel - to the turning bar 8 and which, as FIG. 1 shows, can work in the manner of the known Wendevor direction.
1 to 3 show a double-width two-roll machine with three printing units 3, 4 and 5. The printing units 3 and 4 are equipped with two parallel turning bars 6 and 7 from. The double-wide, four-sided, strand - 13 coming from roll 1 is Printing unit 3 is provided with face printing and in printing unit 4 with reverse printing; it is then cut lengthways by the cutting mechanism 14.
One half goes directly to the folder. 12 fed, while the other half, or if only a three-page-wide web has been passed through the printing unit 3, 4, the separated; a page-wide strand part passed over the Wendevor direction 6 and 7, so that both strands come into the folding unit one above the other.
The single-width strand coming from the roll 2 receives the straight printing in one half of the double-width printing unit 5 and is guided over the turning device 8, 10 and 11, where it is deflected so that the other side is on the second half of the double-width printing works 5 printed and the folding unit 1? can be fed. In this case, you get twelve pages of products, only printed black on both sides as shown in Fig. Yes, ten pages if only a three-page-wide web has been passed through the printing unit 3, 4, 24 and 20 pages if you always have two sheets collects.
The small lines in Figs. Yes, 3a, 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b_ 6a and 6b indicate the number of colors that can be printed on the respective pages during one work process.
In the arrangement of FIGS. 1 and 3, the single-width, two-page-wide, strand 15 runs from the roll 2 through the printing unit 5, is printed there on one side, is then guided over the turning bars 8 and 9, and guide rollers and, as in the drawing indicated, then passed through the second half of the printing unit 5 and here printed in two colors on one side, as is indicated in Fig. 3a.
According to Fig. 4, the double-wide strand is passed from the roll 1 through the printing units 3 and 1 and is printed here front and back - and in the printing unit 5 a second color on one side. After leaving the printing unit 5, the double-width strand is cut lengthways. A partial strand is fed directly to the folding unit 12.
The other branch is ent neither on the turning device 8 ,. 10 and 11 to the folding unit 12, so that the result indicated in Fig. 4a is obtained, or it can also be guided via the turning device 8 and 9 to the folding unit 12, so that with both strands in the in Fig. 4b indicated way the two-tone printed pages are on the outside.
Fig. 5 shows a further possible work speed, namely here again the double-width strand coming from the roll 1 receives from the printing units 3 and 4 perfecting and is then cut longitudinally. One half of the strand is fed to the folding unit 12, while the other half is fed to the printing unit 5, so that this strand half receives two colors on one side.
This half of the strand is then passed over the turning devices 8, 10 and 11 and turned over and then fed to the second half of the printing unit 5 with the help of guide rollers, so that the other side of the half of the strand is also printed with a second color, whereupon the half of the strand to the folding unit 12 is fed. The finished result shows: Fig. 5a.
If in this case the second strand half, after it has received the first print in the printing unit 5, is not passed over the turning bars 8, 10 and 11, but over the bars 8 and 9, it is not turned over, and if it is then the Printing unit 5 is fed for the second time, it receives a third color on one side, as shown in FIG. 5b.
Fig. 6 finally illustrates a more direct way of working. In this case the roll 1. is only single width. The simply wide strand passes through the printing units 3 and 4 and is printed on both sides in one color. It is offset by its width by the turning devices 6 and 7 and fed again to the double-width printing units 3 and 4 by means of guide rollers. After it has been printed with a second color on both sides in the other half of the printing units 3 and 4, it is fed to the folding unit 12. The single-wide paper strand coming from the roll 2 is printed in the printing unit 5 on both sides.
The result presented in FIG. 6a is then obtained.
You also have the option of printing only from the single-width roll 1 and the strand coming from this, after it has received two-color printing on both sides by the double-width printing units 3 and 4, through the printing unit 5, where it is for example is printed on one side with a third color according to FIG. 6b.
Fig. 7 shows a turning device with which the same types of production can be achieved. The only difference from the arrangement according to FIG. 2 is that the one turning bar, namely the turning bar 8, is not used for both groups of turning bars. There are five turning bars for this. The two turning bars 8 and 11 lying at an angle to one another correspond to the turning bars 8, 11 of FIG. 2, the two parallel to one another of the turning bars 8 'and 9 correspond to the turning bars 8, 9 of FIG. 2.
