La fig. 1 montre une vue de face mi- élévation mi-coupe de la première forme d'exécution, qui est un mécanisme destiné à la commande de deux châssis de fenêtre; La fig. 2, la vue en coupe correspondante suivant la ligne II-II de la fig. 1, Les fig. 3 et 4 la vue d'une' manivelle de commande amovible et du butoir;
Operating mechanism, especially for window frames. The present invention relates to a control mechanism, in particular for window frames, comprising a pinion stopped by a stopper and a cam which, under the action of a crank, moves the pinion longitudinally so as to disengage it from the stopper. , and drives it in rotation.
The stopper can be fixed and the pinion can be pushed into engagement with it by a spring when no force is exerted on the control handle; said mounted pinion, for example, sliding on its axis, is controlled by the cam so that any force of the actuator has the effect of sliding this pinion along its axis under the effect of the cam, in spite of the return spring, and, consequently, to produce the unlocking, after which the mechanism can function normally.
This mechanism can also allow, with certain modifications, the control of two frames by means of a single control member, and this although the frames are locked independently.
For this purpose, a mechanism as described in the first paragraph can be provided for each chassis and in addition a control shaft carrying toothed wheels which can be brought to control one or the other of the above mechanisms. , by simply moving the control shaft longitudinally.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the mechanism according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a front half-elevation view of the first embodiment, which is a mechanism for controlling two window frames; Fig. 2, the corresponding sectional view taken along line II-II of FIG. 1, Figs. 3 and 4 the view of a removable control crank and the stopper;
Fig. 5 shows in vertical section a schematic view of the second embodiment which is a control mechanism common to two frames, FIG. 6, seen from the side, the mechanism shown in fig. 5, with the trees in their real position. _ In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, each drive comprises a shaft 1, on which a toothed pinion 2 can move axially.
A sleeve 3 wedged on the shaft 1 has two triangular notches 4, in which are placed two corresponding lateral projections 5 of the pinion 2. The pinion 2 is mounted free on the shaft 1 and can slide on it parallel to the 'axis. A spring 6 bearing on the shaft constantly tends to bring it closer to the bush 3 and consequently to make the projections 5 penetrate into the notches 4. A stopper 7 mounted on a cross member 8 connecting the two uprights 9 which support the pins 1 is located between two teeth of pinion 2 in the extreme position of pinion 2 in the opposite direction to that indicated by the arrow and thus locks pinion 2.
The entry edge of the stopper 7 is chamfered at 10 so as to facilitate the sliding of the teeth of the pinion 2. The latter meshes with a second toothed pinion 11, wedged on a shaft 18. A toothed wheel 12 also wedged on this shaft meshes with an endless chain 13, which operates a window panel. The outer end of the shaft 1 has a notch 14 into which the projection 15 of the crank 16 shown in FIG. 3. A bush 17 fixed on the shaft 1 makes it possible to guide the arm of the crank 16 carrying the projection 15.
This mechanism works as follows: The crank 16 is put in place by inserting the projection 15 into the notch 14 of the shaft 1. The crank 16 is turned in the desired direction, which tends to rotate the pinion 2; in the movement one of the inclined ram pes which form the sides of the projection 5 rises on the corresponding side of the notch 4 and thus causes the displacement of the pinion in the direction of the arrow along its axis, so that the teeth of the pinion 2 are brought out of contact with the stopper 7 and the mechanism is thus unlocked. In this position of the pinion, its projections 5 are not disengaged from the notches 4, so that the pinion is driven in rotation by the sleeve 3.
As soon as one stops turning the crank 16, the pinion 2 tends to return under the action of the spring 6 in the direction opposite to that indicated by the arrow and one of the teeth of the pinion 2 hits the stopper 7, this which immobilizes the whole assembly and thus prevents the untimely descent of a window frame.
It should be noted that the release of the pinion by sliding along its axis occurs all the better when the weight of the frame opposes a strong resistance to the motor movement of the shaft 1. The sliding of the pinion to the left is limited by the shoulder 19 forming a stop. Thanks to this position, the projection 5 of each of the pinions cannot come out entirely from the notch 4 when the mechanism is operated.
The crank 16 being removable and forming a kind of key 15 of any chosen arbitrary shape, we see that no one other than the one who has this crank can maneuver the frame, which constitutes, in certain cases, a precious security.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the mechanism has two vertical cheeks, 1, 2; on which are mounted two shafts 3, 4 with notched bushings 12, 13, which corresponds to the shafts 1. of the previous example.
As in the mechanism described above, a shaft 5 carries chain wheels 6, 7 on which pass respectively the control chains of the chassis. The chain wheels 6, 7 are respectively driven by the toothed wheels 8, 9, the first of which engages with the pinion 10, while the second meshes with the pinion 11. As in the previous example, these two pinions are mounted. free on their shafts 3, 4 and can slide longitudinally on them. Stopping the movement of the pinions 10, 11 is obtained by means of the spacers 19, 20.
In the previous example, the crank is removably mounted on the shafts 3 and 4. Here, on the contrary, these shafts are dragged by an additional auxiliary shaft 14; at the end of this shaft is mounted a crank of which only the hub 15 has been shown. Two toothed wheels 16, 17 are wedged on this same shaft.
In the position of the figure, the wheel 16 meshes with a toothed wheel 18 of the notched sleeve 13; consequently, by acting on the crank 15, the wheels 16, 18 are simultaneously rotated. As a result of this movement, the pinion Il moves on the shaft 4 towards the right until what emerges from the distance piece 19. From this moment, it is dragged in rotation by the sleeve 13 and causes the wheel 9 to turn so that the corresponding frame is actuated.
To activate the other frame, push the crank 15 to the left (fig. 1); then the shaft 14 slides longitudinally, the wheel 16 is released from the wheel 18 and the wheel 17 engages with the wheel 19. In this case, it is the other frame which is actuated by means of the pinion 10 and wheels 8 and 7. In summary, it suffices to move the shaft 14 longitudinally to control one or the other of the frames.
