Process for the operation of elongated deflagration chambers, in particular for fuel cylinders. The present invention relates to a method for operating expanded deflagration chambers, in particular for internal combustion turbines, with a conical transition between the air inlet element and the elongated central part of the deflagration canisters. Such deflagration chambers have the peculiarity
that the introduced air, due to the diffuser effect of the conical transition piece, spreads steadily across the chamber and looks like a piston moves in the chamber.
Due to the avoidance of eddies achieved in this way, a relatively flat separating layer is formed between the penetrating Luit and the residual firecases in front of it from the preceding deflagration
so k # that you have it in your hand by tuning (y the opening and closing phases of the closing organ of the deflagration chamber and the air inlet organ,
to drive the filling of the deflagration chamber at a certain point in time with the air displacing the residual fire gas as far as desired and thereby set the separating layer between the air and the residual fire gas at any point in the deflagration chamber.
The invention is now based on the knowledge that the combustion of a mixture becomes all the more complete, the more homogeneously the mixture fills the combustion chamber. When using chambers which were not elongated and which did not have a conical transition, the discharge chamber of the deflagration chamber was always closed relatively early, at least before the fuel inlet element was opened,
because otherwise the irregular distribution of the air that has entered the deflagration chamber. With the residual fire gas from the previous combustion, it would have been possible for fuel particles to ignite on the residual fire gases and cause an ineffective pre-ignition with the shutoff organ still open.
The process of closing the closing element before opening the fuel inlet element certainly avoided this danger, but did not lead to the filling of the deflagration chamber with a homogeneous mixture, which was recognized as being advantageous, because the fuel penetration of the air cushion before it was removed. The necessary pressure gradient was missing.
This operating method with its after share in terms of the formation of a homogeneous mixture was initially retained in deflagration chambers with a conical transition. It took the present invention to come to the conclusion that deflagration chambers with a conical transition offer the possibility of changing the operating method and thus the possibility of ensuring a homogeneous mixture formation.
According to the invention, the method is characterized in that the closing organ of the deflagration chamber with a-eopened air inlet organ and open fuel inlet organ is only closed after it has almost been reached by the separating layer between the flue gas residue of the previous deflagration and the charge air that displaces it .
It has already been proposed to open the closing element of the deflagration chamber again after the fuel inlet element had already been opened. However, the Du-relifü'hrund this Varschlaues led to the arrangement of special control devices on the closing element puff-ungskammer so that the The process was not put into practice.
When using chambers that were not elongated and did not have a conical transition, it was already proposed to keep the "closing element open even at the beginning of the fuel inlet; - however, this proposal was expressly described as unfavorable because there was no possibility of preventing the risk of dangerous pre-ignitions from occurring due to the irregular penetration of the charge air with the residual flue gas.
When using such chambers, there was also no possibility of closing the closing element of the deflagration chamber after it had already been completely or almost completely reached by the charge air, because with this extensive penetration of the deflagration chamber with a homogeneous mixture, preignition would have long since occurred.
Only by using elongated deflagration chambers with a conical transition between the air inlet organ and the elongated central part of the pulverization chamber in connection with the new control of the chamber valves identified above do these difficulties disappear, because it is now in hand,
the danger of a collision of pulp or To prevent mixture particles with flue gas residues. If the air inlet element is opened first and only then the fuel inlet element, so that the residual combustion gas is replaced by pure charge air. is displaced, a zone of pure charge air is created between the residual fire gas and the mixture,
which, due to its piston-like design, excludes any possibility of a collision between residual flue gas and mixture. Since the approaching charge air advances the fuel-air mixture towards the flue gas residue even when the closing element of the deflagration chamber is already closed, the air inlet element is advantageously closed before the fuel-air mixture. has reached the remaining flue gas.
In this case, the ignition source is already located in the area of the homogeneous mixture that completely fills the chamber, so that rapid and reliable ignition of the mixture and its complete combustion is guaranteed when this process is carried out. The fuel supply can continue beyond the end of the air inlet element and be terminated with the start of the inflammation of the fuel-air mixture in the chamber.
In this way, in addition to the safe inflammation and perfect combustion, the C3 k # largest possible filling of the chamber with k5 fuel air weight is guaranteed.
The drawing shows an elongated deflagration chamber with a conical transition, with the individual figures being based on different valve positions. An exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is explained below with the aid of these figures.
In all of the figures, 1 denotes the lano, elongated deflagration chamber, which has a cylindrical, three-sided design in its central part. The fuel and air inlet organs located at the ends of the deflagration chamber are marked with 2 respectively. # designated.
The air inlet element 3 is connected to the elongated central part of the deflagration chamber 1 by a conical transition piece 4. Far from the fuel and air inlet organs 2, 3 , the closing element 5 is arranged, which also conically extends the neck of the deflagration chamber 1 < / B> ends in front of nozzle 6 .
For this reason, the closing element 5 is referred to below as a nozzle valve. The ignition source 8 in the form of a spark plug is arranged in the neck 7 of the deflagration chamber.
The operating method of the illustrated deflagration chamber to achieve reliable ignition, complete combustion and maximum filling is carried out as follows: FIG. 1 shows the state of the deflagration chamber shortly after the fuel valve 2 is opened.
The charge air valve 3 had already opened beforehand, so that the charge air, which penetrated like a piston via the conical connecting door 4, almost displaced the residual combustion gas from the previous combustion via the open nozzle valve 5 . As a result of the displacement, a fairly pronounced separating layer is formed between the residual flue gas and the zone of pure charge air, which was formed by the pre-opening of the charge air valve 3 in front of the fuel valve 2.
In FIG. 1, the separating layer between the residual flue gas and the approaching charge air is indicated at 9-9 .
Fig. 22 shows the state of the deflagration chamber at the point in time when the separating layer 9-9 between the residual fire gas and pure charge air hits the nozzle valve 5 has almost reached. At this point in time, the nozzle valve 5 is closed with open valves 2 and 3 . A small amount of residual flue gas is accepted in order, on the one hand, to have security against the leakage of the expensive charge air, and on the other hand for reasons that are not relevant here.
With the nozzle valve 5 closed, the fuel and charge air supply is now continued up to a state illustrated in FIG. 3.
Fig. 3 shows the state in which the fuel-air mixture has just reached the residual flue gas, so that at this point in time there is a risk of premature ignition.
In order to avoid this danger, the air inlet element is closed so that the ignition source is already located in the area of the homogeneous mixture filling the chamber without, on the other hand, the direct contact between the residual flue gas and the mixture .
The fuel valve 2 is still open, however, so that: the chamber can be filled with the mixture of the highest ignition capacity; At the same time, the largest filling of the chamber with air and fuel weight is possible.
Fig. 4 shows the end of the fuel supply with the start of the ignition of the fuel / air mixture located in the deflagration chamber.
The expression “Janggestrechte deflagration chamber” is understood to mean all types of deflagration chambers, the shape of which enables charge air to penetrate in the manner of a piston, so that the residual fire gases from the previous combustion are expelled without significant mixing with the charge air.
For example, instead of the elongated chamber shown, cylindrical in its central part, a slightly narrow or spherical or otherwise suitably standardized elongated deflagration chamber may be used, but always between the Air inlet member and the elongated middle part a conical transition is present.
