Description
Frame for glasses. The object: of the present invention is a frame for glasses, allowing the branches of said frame to bear against the temples of the wearer of said glasses.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a view of the frame; Fig. 2 is a view of a branch fitted with a coil spring; Fig. 3 -is a view of a branch fitted with a leaf spring; Fig. 4 is a plan view showing the attachment of the spring of FIG. 3.
The frame shown comprises two branches 1 and 2 fitted to a fixed part 3, said branches widen at their free ends 4. And 5, in order to produce a sufficiently large bearing surface.
The branch shown in FIG. 2 com carries a coil spring 6 placed in a cavity 7 hollowed out in front of said branch; the spring 6 presses on the end 8 of a rod 9 coming to rest on a metal plate 10 to which is fixed the pivot pin 11, adjusted, on the other hand, to the branch by means of the part 12; the plate 10 is fixed to the part 13 of the frame connected to the bezel 14.
In the variant embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the branch is actuated by means of a leaf spring 15 adjusted by means of a metal plate 16 and screws 17 and 18 on the fixed part of the frame 19.
The frame shown -is, intended for people who can not support the chipping behind the ears, as well as, those, ladies in particular, whose hair is an obstacle to .this way of doing.
It is obvious that the construction given by way of example can be modified within the scope of the claim, for example the pressure of the branches on the temples could be achieved by the elasticity of the frame.
