Process for connecting oxy-fuel welded pipes. The invention relates to a method for connecting oxy-fuel welded pipes, in particular pressure pipes with a smaller diameter in relation to the pipe length, and consists in that in one of the extended pipe ends to be connected, a nipple adapted to the extension is inserted onto the other The side that is to be connected to the first-mentioned pipe, also extended second pipe end is placed, whereupon the two pipe ends are connected to one another by autogenous welding. The pipe ends welded together in this way are expanded at least on the inside.
A nipple covering the weld point against the inside of the pipe is inserted into these widened pipe ends, which nipple advantageously has at least one conical fitting surface.
An example of a pipe connection produced according to the seduction according to the present invention is shown schematically in the drawing. s The pipe ends a and b z. B. a pressure line for high-pressure steam generator are connected to each other by the weld c. The pipe ends abutting at the weld seam have inside an extension d, respectively. e, which serves to accommodate a nipple f that covers the weld point against the inside of the pipe and, as with d, runs in the axial section of the pipe connection in the form of a flat curve or, as with e, conically.
Advantageously, the nipple does not extend to the beginning of the extension in order to reduce the risk of corrosion.
The seat for the nipple can be effected by widening the pipe ends or by pulling the pipe ends while maintaining the same outer diameter and, if necessary, be divided into parts of greater and lesser slope. The nipple can be resilient and optionally consist of several parts.
For the assembly of the pipes, z. B. inserted into the pipe end a of the nipple elf in such a way that the extension d of the pipe end serves as a seat. This creates a centering and reinforcement of the connection for the following pipe section b, which is now grazed with its conical extension e over the corresponding part of the smaller diameter of the nipple f ge. The pipes are then connected by the weld seam c in such a way that the weld material (droplet formation) cannot flow out through the nipple f and the continuity of the flow is not disturbed by welded-away material.
Advantageously, pipe ends are equal training so widened conically or expanded after a curve joined together, on the other hand, of course, as shown in the drawing, different types of formed pipe ends with appropriate formation of the nipple can be combined with each other.
The invention is particularly suitable for oxy-fuel tubes, i.e. tubes welded with an electric arc or gas, with a small diameter in relation to the tube length, in which the outer diameter must not be changed significantly.
