Process for the production of a 3iisehgarnes wool fibers and air staple fibers. The present invention relates to a method for producing a mixed yarn from wool fibers and man-made staple fibers cut to the staple length.
It is known that wool fibers can also be processed in a mixture with synthetic staple fibers (staple fibers) in worsted or carded yarn spinning. Processing in worsted spinning is very expensive because of the complicated work process. In the carded yarn process, only short wool fibers can be processed and the production of fine yarn counts is impossible.
According to the present process, the wool fiber is cut to a length corresponding to the man-made staple fiber, mixed with it and spun into yarn on cotton spinning machines.
The invention thus enables the wesent Lich cheaper production by way of cotton spinning to produce wool fibers mixed with Gunstspinnfasen up to the finest yarn counts. A yarn can thereby be achieved which not only has the advantage of being cheap over worsted yarn, but also shows a novel character in that this yarn has a beautiful, mild, silky sheen and a wool-like character.
The method can, for example, be carried out in such a way that the wool fibers are first brought into as parallel a position as possible. It is not absolutely necessary to use a top, but you can let the wool fibers go over a wool card to form a band. Depending on the length of the wool fibers, this work can be carried out either on a wool combing card or on a card such as is known from two-cylinder spinning.
The ribbons produced in this way are fed to a cutting machine in order to obtain the shorter pile required for cotton spinning. The cutting machine is expediently set so that the curl in the wool fiber is taken into account in order to achieve a correct cut length. The wool fibers can be mixed with the synthetic staple fibers in various ways. For example, some ways are given here.
The wool fibers are intensively mixed with the cheap staple fibers before processing, or the wool fibers and man-made staple fibers are processed separately up to the card sliver and the slivers are mixed on the draw frame. Spinning on the cotton spinning machines can be carried out using the three- or multi-cylinder process.
It has been found that an admixture of 20% wool fibers to 80% synthetic fibers is sufficient to obtain a yarn which, due to its extraordinarily loose structure, has a very good covering ability, which, for example, gives a fabric made from the yarn very good cohesion and be given a full grip.
In addition to the usual elongation, the yarn obtained has good elasticity, and it also conducts heat poorly.
The blends can of course depending on the effect that you want to achieve, or how far you can go in the price range of the yarns; can be made at will.
