Reiberhahn.
Rooster. Grater taps for various purposes are usually not carried out with a stuffing box, especially because of the high manufacturing costs. However, taps without a stuffing box have the disadvantage that they may be able to close the passage opening tightly, but can lose gas or liquid in the direction of the distributor axis.
The present invention relates to a tap which does not have the disadvantage mentioned and which is particularly suitable as a main gas tap.
The friction valve according to the invention is characterized by a valve plug inserted in a housing closed on one side in the direction of its axis with drive cams and stop to limit the rotation of the plug, a driver pushed over the plug shaft and actuated from the outside for turning of the plug, an organ arranged in the driver for exerting axial pressure on the plug and a threaded sleeve screwed onto the housing to hold down the driver,
which is provided with a sealing ring on the Mitiiehmer and a .sich on the housing.
The drawing illustrates. From two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section of a first and Fig. 2 is a partial vertical section of a second example.
In a housing 1 closed on one side at the bottom, that is to say in the direction of its axis, with two connecting pieces sits a cock cheek 2 which at the top carries a cylindrical shaft 2a and a driving cam 2b. A driver 3 is pushed over the shaft 2a and has a recess 3a corresponding to the cam 2b at the bottom and also has a surface 3b for pressing on a sealing ring 4. The driver 3 carries. at the top a square for attaching a key.
By a screwed to the housing an.- threaded sleeve 5, which fits with some play on the cylindrical part of the driver 3, the housing is closed at the top and sealed by a sealing ring 6 and the driver 3 is held down. In the driver 3 sits a screw 7, which presses with its tip in the axial direction on the center of the cock plug. If the screw 7 is tightened, on the one hand the cock plug is pressed into the Ge housing and on the other hand the surface of the driver 3 is pressed against the sealing ring 4.
The space above the cock is completely sealed off from the outside. The screw 7 is secured against loosening by a locking screw 8 pressing on it and the threaded hole in the driver is sealed upwards by a screw 9 and a sealing ring 9a. At the bottom of the stem plug, a stop 10 is used, which fixes the open and closed cock position to correspond to the fixed stops 11 on the housing base.
The embodiment just described excludes an edge of the cock plug, seals completely from the outside and preserves the ground surfaces from contamination.
In the example according to FIG. 2, instead of the screw 7, a coil spring 12 is inserted into the driver 3 in order to press the plug 3 into the housing. Otherwise this example is designed in the same way as the first.
The threaded sleeve 5 could also be formed so that the inner edge of the same can spring.
