Description

Device for storm-proof roofing of the roof tiles. The previously known storm clips for roof panels or roof tiles have the disadvantage that they are either too costly in their manufacture, or can only be used with roof tiles specially fabricated for this purpose.

The present invention now avoids the above-mentioned disadvantages by the same consists of a storm hook made of wire and is shaped so that its one, bent end in use overlap a part, for example the side fold of the brick lying on top and the other, bent end can be attached to a batten by a nail.

The accompanying drawing illustrates in FIGS. 1 and 2 an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention used in the laying of interlocking tiles of known design.

1 shows the storm hook made of ordinary wire, the bent end 2 of which engages in the side rebate 3 of the tile 4 lying thereon, while the other end 5, bent over to form an eyelet, is fastened to the roof batten 7 by means of a nail 6. 8 ver illustrates the interlocking tile that is hung on the roof batten 7, on which the lower part of the interlocking tile 4 rests.

The storm hook 1 is most easily made from iron wire and can be galvanized to prevent oxidation. The same can also be conveniently used with irregularly arranged roof battens, since the length of the hook can be chosen as required and also bent as desired. Furthermore, it can be used with all interlocking tiles and, for example, where there is a rib with a hole on the underside, it can be hung into the same so that the bent wire end again overlaps a tile part. When using this hook, lifting or twisting of the bricks from the outside is therefore excluded.
