Callipers, especially for measuring and cutting glass. Until now, angles and rulers have been used to cut glass. It has now been shown that the cutting of pieces of glass using these instruments is imprecise and time-consuming.
The subject of the present invention is now a calliper, in particular for glasses, by which a rapid and regular cutting of pieces of glass it should be made possible. According to the invention, the slide gauge is formed by a tear-like, rail-like, gauge piece which has a rail provided with a measuring halo. A slide provided with a locking element is stored on the rail.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment, and it shows of the same: FIG. 1 Have a go, Fio-. 2 a forehead.nsie.'ht, against the fixed 2D ruler leg, Fi-. 3 a side view and t 'FIG. 4 a section along the line I-II of FIG. 1 on a larger scale.
1 is the fixed ruler leg of the rail 2, which two parts are firmly connected to one another by screws 3 and form the tear-rail-like jig piece. The Linealselienkel and the rail 2 could of course also be connected to each other in an adjustable manner. The rail 2 is provided with a measuring scale 4. A slide valve 6 is adjustably arranged on the rail 2. The Seltieber 6 is formed by a wooden ruler, which expediently consists of two pieces firmly connected to one another.
The rail 2 is guided through the guide opening 7 of the slide. 8 is a longitudinal bore extending from the guide opening 7 through which the screw pins: odel 9 is inserted, which is stored in a metal plate 11 provided with a clew hole 10 . The latter is attached to the end of the slide by means of screws 12 (Fig. 4). That from the Sehleber respectively. the metal plate 11 in front of the end of the Sell screw spindle 9 is provided with a wing 13 .
The inner end of the Sell screw spindle 9 is loosely connected to a clamping piece 14, which rests against one longitudinal edge of the rail.
If the saddle screw spindle 9 is turned by hand by means of the sash 13 , so that it looks inwards or inwards. moved outside, the clamping piece 14 is pressed against the rail 2 or. moved away from the same, so that the selector 6 either sits firmly on the rail 9 or is freely movable.
A pointer 15 is attached to the inner longitudinal edge of the slide 6 facing the fixed ruler, the free end of which is bent and lies in the area of the left scale. The beginning of the scale resp. The zero point is approximately in the direction of the contact edge 5 of the fixed ruler. The zero point of the scale is taken exactly by the distance of the pointer in relation to the caliper above the contact edge 5 .
If you have to cut a piece of glass, you only need to adjust the slide gate 6 to the perfect size and tighten the screw 9 slightly. Now you put the Seliubl # -11rA on the glass - push the slider 6 - on the edge of the glass well and fill the diamond along the ruler 1 very long - - - -The annoying accounting- the 3 mm is omitted because the zero point of the scale is around 3 </ B > mm in front of the outer edge - of the ruler 1 v6rIe,
ot is. About easy gliding. of the Selliebers 6 is le--, it is advisable to start this when pushing in the middle a -'- Isen.
The Sella gauge can also be used for other work, for example for measuring and marking out fillings, panels, etc. For this purpose, the pointer 15 is on the slide, by means of which the exact dimension can be read.
The described SchubleUre is also suitable for measuring and cutting other materials, such as Hülz and metal plates. The calliper can also be used for drawing, and you only have to remove the slide bar 6 from the rail 2.
A nut could also be provided at the point of the metal plate, which nut is arranged directly next to the clamping piece in a recess of the bore 8.
