Rubber elastic fabric and method of making the same. The present invention relates to a novel, rubber-elastic fabric and a method for its production and be intended to increase the elasticity and the beauty of the appearance ((älätte) of the rubber-elastic fabric, with a significantly simplified production method. It is already known, such fabric manufactured in such a way that the umbilical thread lies only in the middle part of the fabric. However, these fabrics always require the use of several shooters, whereas the new fabric present is woven in the simplest way with just one shuttle.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the non-elastic part of the fabric is ultimately formed from warp threads.
In the drawing, the invention is illustrated for example in one embodiment.
Fig. 1 illustrates the construction of the combined fabric in a greatly enlarged ver scale in a schematic manner; Fig. 2 shows a weaving scheme for the fabric to be produced forth.
1 is a weft thread made of rubber. It can be made of pure rubber or braided rubber. a ', - a' "and a" i-a "" are warp threads made of any durable textile material, for example cotton, silk, worsted yarn and the like. b'i-b '"and b" i-b ", respectively, are also warp threads made of inelastic textile material. ei, they are warp threads made of solid textile material, which are referred to below as loop chain threads with a view to their special effect.
A chain thread group is denoted by di to d "which runs in the elastic part of the fabric and is formed from inelastic threads. The number of threads in the preceding chain thread groups a, b, d can be any number the warp threads d can be chosen as desired. The rubber weft thread 1 directly binds all threads with the exception of the threads of the group a'i-a 'or a "ia".
The threads of group a are also bound by the rubber weft, but not directly, but by the fact that the rubber weft moves the Schlirrgkettefädenc up to the locking chain threads b'1 respectively. b "n is pulled into the fabric. With the warp threads b'1 and b". Both the rubber weft and the loop chain threads are locked together.
The rubber weft thread pulls the loop chain threads into the fabric, and this happens in the following way: The loop chain threads, which are arranged outside the fabric in the stretched state (loaded with weight) in the loom, are caught by the rubber weft.
The shedding of the edge chain threads is such that the loop chain threads can be drawn in in the form of a loop (Fix. 1), that is, the two branches of the loop chain threads drawn in have the same relative position with respect to the edge chain threads.
If, for example, one branch of the loop chain thread caught by the rubber shot and drawn in as far as the thread bi (left part of the fabric) in the loaded state lies below a certain edge of the chain thread, the second branch, which leads back to the edge of the fabric, is also below the looked at the edge chains. The pulling in of the weight-loaded loop towards the middle part of the fabric is limited by the guidance of the elastic weft 1 in the middle part of the Ge fabric.
In the first weft running to the left, shown in FIG. 1, the shed is formed in such a way that it passes beneath the locked warp thread b'1, then grips the loaded loop warp thread and, in the manner described, into the edge part of the fabric moves in. The shedding then changes, so that the weft thread comes to rest above the locked warp thread b'1 on the next weft.
The thread can thus not pull the loops of the loop chain thread further than the locked chain thread b'1 (left side of the fabric) against the central part.
On the right side, the right loop chain thread c = is tied in the same way, only that on the right side the course of the loop chain thread e2 is offset by one weft with respect to the loop chain thread ei for weaving reasons . The process of binding is then repeated in a corresponding manner in the direction of the chain.
By crossing the loop chain threads ei, e2 with the edge chain threads a'1 to a 'n and a'1 to a "" the loop warp threads drawn in by the weft are fixed outside the elastic part of the fabric.
How such fabrics can be produced with the previously customary chen looms can be seen from FIG. In this figure, I denotes the repeat for the fabric to be produced, while II illustrates the weaving scheme. The lines marked with 1. a, lb, lo, 1 d mean the individual wefts of the weft thread 1 and those marked with si-sio Line the shafts. The points in the scheme marked with rings indicate that these shafts must be lifted in each shot. The shaft remains at the crossing points that are not provided with a ring.
In the present exemplary embodiment, the shafts 81-s4 are shafts for a combined body weave. The shafts s6, are used for the loop chain threads ei, c2, the shafts s7-sio are for the locking chain threads b'i-b '"and b" i-b "", and for the edge chain threads a'1-a'. respectively a "i-a" "means R is the reed.
In the present exemplary embodiment, the repeat is completed with four wefts, which is indicated by the four wefts 1 a-1 d in scheme II.
The weaving process can be understood by the person skilled in the art without further description on the basis of the above scheme, provided that it is noted that the rings in scheme II at the crossing points indicate that the warp threads come to lie above the weft at these points.
In the present method, in contrast to the known methods for producing rubber-elastic fabrics, only one shooter needs to be used. This means a significant acceleration and cheaper production. In addition, however, the appearance (smoothness of the product) is significantly improved in the new process.
While driving in the process in which a combination of rubber and cotton weft is used, the shot-through cotton thread runs in waves in the fabric, protrudes over the surface of the fabric and impairs the smoothness, this disadvantage does not occur in the present process, and it does Elastic fabrics of surprisingly level, smooth texture are achieved.
