Description
Nail for connecting window frame parts. The invention relates to a nail with longitudinal ribs for connecting window frame parts. The same is distinguished according to the invention in that at least some of these ribs are provided with at least one notch. This window nail has the advantage that it is prevented from becoming loose.
The drawing illustrates Ausfüh approximately examples of the subject matter of the invention. In the example according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the window nail has four longitudinal ribs 1, tapering radially from the inside out, running into a point and each of these has a sawtooth-like notch 2 near the nail tip. The wood penetrates when the nail is driven into these notches, preventing the nail from loosening. Jumping of the wood is reduced to a minimum by the sharpened, tapering point of the longitudinal ribs.
In the example according to FIG. 3, each of the four ribs 1 has three sawtooth-like notches 2 and in the example according to FIG. 4 the notches 21 are V-shaped.
The cross-section of the window nail can also have multiple or three ribs instead of four (FIG. 5). The window nail is expediently made of rustproof metal and has the advantage that it can be driven in without any pre-drilling. Nor do all of the ribs necessarily have to be provided with notches.
By using the window nail described above for corner connections of window frames, a permanent connection of the parts is guaranteed.
