Reinigungsvorrichtung für Zahnprothesen. Die Reinigung der Zahnprothesen erfolgt heutzutage meist mittelst einfacher Hand bürsten, die unhandlich sind und nur eine un vollkommene Reinigung der Prothesen ge statten.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft nun eine Reinigungsvorrichtung für Zahnprothesen, welche diesen Übelstand zu beheben sucht. Diese Vorrichtung kennzeichnet sich durch einen in einem Halter untergebrachten, mittelst eines Triebmittels antreibbaren Läufer in Ver bindung mit einer Reinigungsbürste, welche vom Läufer angetrieben wird, wobei der Hal ter in Form eines zur Ableitung des Trieb mittels dienenden Rohres zur Bürste derart angeordnet ist, dass er das abgeleitete Trieb mittel im Spülstrom der Bürste zur Bespü- lung derselben und der zu reinigenden Prothese zuführt.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht durch Fig.1 ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegen standes; Fig. 2 ist ein Querschnitt hierzu.
Ein Gehäuse a., das sich nach vorn durch ein Rohr b fortsetzt, enthält eine Turbinen- kammer c, in welcher ein den genannten Läufer bildendes Turbinenrad d drehbar ge lagert ist. Am rückwärtigen Ende ist das Gehäuse a mit einem Anschlussstutzen e für eine biegsame Druckwasserleitung versehen.
Auf der Welle<I>f</I> des Turbinenrades<I>d,</I> die im Rohr<I>b</I> bei<I>g</I> geführt wird, sitzt ausser halb des letzteren eine pinselförmig ausge bildete Rotationsbürste h. Dieselbe ist an der Welle f lösbar bezw. auswechselbar befestigt.
Das in das Gehäuse a bei e eintretende Druckwasser beaufschlagt durch die seitlichen Düsenöffnungen i der Turbinenkammer c das Turbinenrad d und setzt dasselbe mit der Rotationsbürste h in rasche Umdrehung, so dass man bei bequemer Führung der Bürste, wobei das Rohr b als Halter dient, ein gutes und rasches Abbürsten der zu reinigenden Prothese bewerkstelligen kann, während das aus dem Turbinenrad durch das Rohr b ab laufende Wasser die Rotationsbürste h und die Prothese zugleich abspült.
Dabei bildet das Rohr b am vorderen Ende mit dem Kopf stück der Bürste h eine ringförmige Spül- düse in, welche das Wasser in ringförmigem Spülstrome der Bürste und der Prothese zum wirksamen Abspülen dieser Teile zuführt.
Die gezeichnete Vorrichtung, die sich an jede beliebige Druckwasserhausleitung an schliessen lässt, kann gleich gut vom Prothesen träger wie vom Zahnarzt benutzt werden. Das Turbinenrad, welches hier als Schaufel rad gedacht ist, könnte irgend eine andere Ausbildung aufweisen und auf andere Weise, etwa mittelst einer einzigen Druckdüse, be- aufschlagt werden. Druckwasser ist der Pro thesenabspülung wegen wohl das beste Trieb mittel; aber auch Druckluft wäre etwa denk bar. Statt des Turbinenrades liesse sich auch eine umlaufende Triebschnecke oder irgend ein anderer, von einem flüssigen oder gasför migen Triebmittel antreibbarer Läufer an wenden.
Statt der Rotationsbürste liesse sich auch eine andere bewegliche oder anders ge formte Reinigungsbürste verwenden.
Cleaning device for dentures. Dental prostheses are nowadays mostly cleaned by means of simple hand brushes, which are unwieldy and only allow the prostheses to be cleaned incompletely.
The present invention relates to a cleaning device for dentures which seeks to remedy this drawback. This device is characterized by a runner housed in a holder and drivable by means of a drive means in connection with a cleaning brush which is driven by the runner, the holder being arranged in the form of a tube to the brush that serves to divert the drive he supplies the derived propellant in the flushing flow of the brush for rinsing the same and the prosthesis to be cleaned.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention by Figure 1; Fig. 2 is a cross section of this.
A housing a., Which continues forward through a pipe b, contains a turbine chamber c, in which a turbine wheel d forming said rotor is rotatably mounted. At the rear end, the housing a is provided with a connection piece e for a flexible pressurized water line.
On the shaft <I> f </I> of the turbine wheel <I> d, </I>, which is guided in the tube <I> b </I> at <I> g </I>, sits outside the latter a brush-shaped rotating brush h. The same is releasably or on the shaft f. exchangeably attached.
The pressurized water entering the housing a at e acts on the turbine wheel d through the side nozzle openings i of the turbine chamber c and sets the same in rapid rotation with the rotary brush h, so that one can easily guide the brush, with the tube b serving as a holder can bring about good and quick brushing off the prosthesis to be cleaned, while the water running from the turbine wheel through the tube b rinses the rotary brush h and the prosthesis at the same time.
In this case, the tube b at the front end with the head piece of the brush h forms an annular flushing nozzle, which feeds the water in an annular flushing stream to the brush and the prosthesis for effective rinsing of these parts.
The device shown, which can be connected to any pressurized water house line, can be used equally well by the prosthesis wearer and the dentist. The turbine wheel, which is intended here as a blade wheel, could have any other design and be acted upon in a different manner, for example by means of a single pressure nozzle. Pressurized water is probably the best raising agent for rinsing the prosthesis; but compressed air would also be conceivable. Instead of the turbine wheel, it would also be possible to use a rotating drive screw or any other rotor that can be driven by a liquid or gaseous propellant.
Instead of the rotary brush, another movable or differently shaped cleaning brush could also be used.
