Fi, g. l zeigt einen Bruohteil des Spindel- stockes eines Mehrspindelautomaten gemäss der Erfindun im senkrechten Schnitt ;
Multi-spindle machine for dividing rod-shaped workpieces into smaller workpieces.
The invention relates to a further development of the multi-spindle machine characterized in the claim of the main patent for dividing rod-shaped workpieces (full or hollow) into smaller workpieces, in which the workpieces revolve around their own axis by means of vertically mounted, revolvers Workpiece holding spindles are presented to the tools.
With such machines it can happen that the work pieces have to be provided with bores, openings, slots, etc. directed transversely to their axes (so-called transverse machining of the work pieces).
According to the additional invention, this is made possible by the fact that the workpiece spindles are connected to the drive mechanism used to rotate around their own axis by means of a spring-type friction clutch that is constantly engaged, but at
Standstill of the turret drum holding the workpiece spindles can be temporarily disengaged by a control system specially provided for this purpose in order to stop the associated workpiece spindle and then allow the workpieces to be transversely processed
The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fi, g. 1 shows a part of the headstock of a multi-spindle automatic machine according to the invention in vertical section;
Fig. 2 shows a horizontal section through the headstock.
The workpiece spindle revolver drum 9 is accommodated in the headstock 47, which is rotatable as required and which carries the workpiece spindles 10 rotating around its own axis. The spindles 10, which carry the workpieces to be machined, receive their circulation drive from the common central wheel 8 via the gears l0a and via spring-lock friction clutches assembled with these, one part 109 of which forms a conical hollow ring with the gear loua and its counterpart 108 as conical sliding sleeve on a sleeve 110 of the spindle 10 longitudinally displaceable.
r is and is under the influence of a compression spring 111 which seeks to press the sliding sleeve 108 into the hollow rim 109 for the friction connection.
In the middle of the drum 9, a verükalachsige guide sleeve 100 is arranged, which is provided with vertical slideways 101. The thickened head 103 of a fixed rod 102, which has a groove 104 extending all around and carries a lifting piece 105 protruding into this, is inserted in the bushing 100. The sliding tracks 101 of the guide bushing 100 form a guide for sliding blocks 106 which are used for control purposes and are shown in the same Za. Like the workpiece spindles 10, they are arranged around the control head 103 and designed so that they each engage with two fork legs 106a in an annular groove 108a of one of the coupling sleeves 108 for adjusting the same.
The controlling sliding shoes 106 are each equipped with a control pin 107, which protrudes into the lifting cam groove 104 of the control head 103 and through interaction with its lifting element 105 is intended to release the relevant friction clutch.
If a work piece is to be transversely machined, the relevant work piece spindle, which otherwise rotates about its own axis while the spindle drum is at a standstill, must of course be stopped. This is done in the following way: The lifting piece 105 is at a certain point in the handling. When handling the sleeve 100, which makes the circuit of the drum 9 with, the Za. If 107 of a sliding shoe 106 hits the lifting piece 105, the sliding shoe 106 is guided up in its sliding path in the sleeve 100 and the corresponding coupling sleeve 108 is thereby lifted out of its seat on the driving coupling part 109.
The clutch is released and the workpiece spindle in question 10 comes to a standstill (which ge can optionally be accelerated by braking the same). Now the tool (not shown) can be brought up to the workpiece to carry out the transverse machining. After the work has been completed and after this has decreased. Tool can go through the indexing of the drum 9, with which the mentioned. hated Za. pfen 107 expires from the lifting piece 105 and thus the clutch of the disengaged workpiece spindle is re-engaged.
This game takes place once for each work piece spindle during a full revolution of the drum 9. So while five work piece spindles, that is, all those that are not in the effective range of the stroke. piece 105 to rotate around its own axis in order to be machined in circulation is always the sixth, that is, the one whose drive is by means of its frict. ion coupling through the liftst. ück 105 is disengaged, for the execution of the door machining, be at rest, that is, do not rotate.
The control head 103 is expediently adjustable with the middle of the rod 102 on the machine frame both in the axial direction and in the circumferential direction, around its stroke piece 105 to the movement be. rich of the control pin 107 ga. to withdraw nz or to adjust it elsewhere in the course of the same. Its adjustability in the circumferential direction can completely suffice.
