On peut fabriquer cet objet par d'autres modes d'exécution du procédé que celui in diqué plus haut., par exemple par l'un des suivants: On prépare tout d'abord la seconde par tie, on la place dans un moule, on dispo8e la première partie autour d'elle; dans ce cas, la seconde partie peut avoir la forme d'un réseau àdeux dimensions,à mailles de formes diverses, si l'objet est une plaque par exem ple;
Concrete object and process for its manufacture. The invention includes a concrete object and a method of making the same.
We know that there are objects, building blocks for example, in so-called "cellular" concrete obtained in different ways and having cells which make it less permeable to heat, give it the sonority, make it lighter. On the other hand, these same cells cause various disadvantages: they slow down the drying, they reduce the resistance of the concrete, they give to this one the defect of swell under the influence of humidity.
These drawbacks are avoided in the concrete . object forming part of the invention, thanks to the fact that it is composed of two parts which will be intimately integral with each other and have 'one is aerated concrete, while the other consists of non-aerated concrete and 3ert to give the necessary volume stability; area to the object,' thus that to increase the resistance of the latter.
The process for the manufacture of this object is characterized by the fact that it is formed from two parts forming intimately one with the other and one of which is made of cellular - concrete, while the the other is in be- tone non-cellular.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents, in perspective, an embodiment of the object, given to by way of example, and constituted by a building block.
The block a I * has the shape of a right prism with rectangular bases and consists mainly of the part a in cellular concrete which has the same shape as it. In this part a are formed interior channels ending at its faces, having the shape of a three-dimensional network and enclosing the second part b </ B > non-cellular concrete, for example compressed ordinary concrete. This part b forms a reinforcement and, much less hygroscopic than the first, gives the block the desired volume stability, by preventing the swelling of the cellular concrete under the action of humidity; on the other hand, it increases the resistance of the bloc.
The two parts a, b of the block are thus made of the same material, concrete, simply prepared in two different ways; under these conditions, they are intimately one with the other and cannot be separated any more because there is there not only mechanical bond, but chemical bond. This would not be the case if part b were formed from a metal frame or a terracotta brick as we have already pro installed.
Part b can be in ordinary concrete, that is to say comprising cement mortar - this concrete can be poured or compressed, or again, after its introduction into part a, be compacted by mechanical vibrations that are subjected to the block, which also has the result of giving a perfect connection of the two parts. The concrete of part b could also be formed, on the one hand, of Portland cement, of electrofused aluminous slag, on the other hand, of gravel, sand, pieces of bricks, clinker, pumice, etc.
One can do it for example as follows to manufacture the block represented - One prepares its part a in cellular concrete by giving it the shape which it must have and by sparing in this part the channels which will receive the part b , then the concrete of this part b, is poured into them, mixed in a soft paste. The block is subjected to mechanical vibrations which cause the concrete to settle; the concrete of part b thus takes on a compactness allowing it to fulfill its role of reinforcement.
When a certain time elapses between the manufacture of part a and the introduction of the concrete of part b, this part a dries faster, thanks to < / B> air circulation in the channels.
The concrete object forming part of the invention may have a shape different from that of a block. It can be made in in advance -or be prepared in the very spot where it will be used]. The arrangement of its second part varies; it may contain a metal frame.
This object can be manufactured by other embodiments of the process than that indicated above., For example by one of the following: The second part is first prepared, it is placed in a mold, we have the first part around it; in this case, the second part can have the form of a two-dimensional network, with meshes of various shapes, if the object is a plate for example;
First, we prepare the second part by y leaving spaces in which we execute the first part; in this case, the second part can have for example the shape of a sheath or of an envelope by turning more or less completely the first one, We prepare in a to roughly simultaneous way, in the same arrangement, the two parts which from the outset occupy their final relative positions; We prepare in in advance several elements made of cellular concrete that we assemble, to obtain the object, by means of the second part, during the execution of this one.
