Lack.
<I>Beispiel 2:</I> Ein Lach wird hergestellt aus :20 Teilen 7,elluloseacetat,but,yrat, <B>80</B> Teilen Nitro7eIlii- lose, <B>'200</B> Teilen Trikresylphosphat, <B>500</B> Tei len Aceton und 200 Teilen Benzol.

Paint. It was found that paints, the solutions. of mixed esters of cellulose with lower acids of the fatty acid series, to which nitrocellulose can also be added if necessary, and contain more than 10 () 7,0 plasticizers, based on the amount of cellulose esters present, for coating cables ete. can find advantageous use.
They are distinguished in particular by the fact that, in spite of the high content of plasticizers, they are very close to the solvents. You can therefore let the cables el run very quickly through the painting machine when using such paints, without longer drying at elevated temperature between the individual painting passes. The cables can be reeled up immediately after painting because they do not stick together.
Softening agent exudes from the paint films because the ZD physical bond between the mixed esters of the cellulose and the plasticizers is extremely strong, so that no plasticizer is released even over long periods of time and the paint films therefore have a lifespan that has not yet been achieved.
As mixed esters of cellulose with lower fatty acids, for example cellulose acetate butyrate or acetate propionate or else nitroacetate are suitable. The most varied esters of phthalic acid, derivatives of para-toluenesulfonic acid, adipic acid esters and others can be used as plasticizers.
It should be mentioned as particularly advantageous for the practical use of the lacquers that the phosphoric acid esters of the aromatic series can also be processed, which are known to be easily accessible and largely suppress the flammability of the products made with them until they do not burn completely. In addition, the films produced with the aforementioned esters of cellulose are very water-resistant and resistant to cold.
By adding suitable resins or synthetic resins, such as resins made from cyclohexanone, vinyl esters and the like, as well. The properties of the paints can be improved even further by adding the usual paint components, such as oils, fillers, dyes, etc.
<U> If </U> the paint film does not have sufficient hardness under certain circumstances due to the large quantities of softening agents, the above-mentioned esters of cellulose can, if necessary, be replaced by nitrocellulose. You can add relatively large amounts of nitrocellulose here; Even a paint that contains five parts Nitrozellu on one part of a mixed ester of the cellulose and more than 100% softening agent, still has a sufficiently large drying capacity for processing on the coating machine. The addition of nitrocellulose makes the film that is formed harder and shinier without significantly losing its good properties.
<I> Example<B>1:</B> </I> A lacquer is produced from <B> 100 </B> parts of cellulose acetate butyrate, <B> 2215 </B> parts of tricresyl # phosphate, 25 parts of one Synthetic resin which is produced by melting together a Fc> rmaldeliyd phenol denaturation product with a condensation product of methylcyclohexylketon, 420 parts of acetone and 230 parts of benzene.
This varnish is ideal for the laekierung of cables, wires etc. and has an aging time of at least <B> 200 </B> hours at <B> 100 'C </B> in the normal test.
<I> Example 2: </I> A laugh is made from: 20 parts of 7, ellulose acetate, butyrate, <B> 80 </B> parts of nitro7elilose, <B> '200 </B> parts of tricresyl phosphate , <B> 500 </B> parts of acetone and 200 parts of benzene.
This lacquer can be processed perfectly for cable lacquering on the lacquering machine 23 - and has an aging time of about <B> 150 </B> hours at <B> 100 <I> 'C. </I> </ B >
For example # I <B><I>3:</I> </B> <B> 75 </B> parts of cellulose acetate propionate, <B> 25 </B> parts of nitrocellulose, 210 parts of tricresyl phosphate are mixed , 450 parts of acetone and 240 parts of benzene and is given a varnish that looks. dries quickly and only after at least <B> 180 </B> hours becomes Al- 1: eriiiio- at <B> 100 'C </B> brüchio on the coated cable.
