Process for the production of real Ioires and device for carrying out the process. The present invention relates to a method for producing real moire mechanically without the use of heat and an apparatus for carrying out this method. The method is characterized in that a duplicated web of material is subjected to a pressing process in the weft direction in steps.
The device for carrying out this method is characterized in that the same unwinding and winding rollers for the web of material are arranged transversely to the axial direction of the press rollers by means of which the moire effect is generated.
The drawing shows an embodiment example of the device for carrying out the present method.
Fig. 1 shows a front view, and Fig. 2 shows a side view of the same.
The press rolls are denoted by a and b. The unwinding and winding rollers c, d are mounted transversely to their axes. These rollers can be displaced transversely to the axes of the rollers a, b by suitable gears, which are not shown in the drawing. e and f are guide rollers. The duplicated web is in the warp direction intermittently from the roll c and wound up on the roll d. There is then always a piece of goods the length of the roller surface ready for processing in front of the rollers a, b, such that the weft threads run transversely to the axes of the rollers.
If the rollers are now set in rotation in the direction of arrows I in FIG. 2, the relevant piece of the material web is moved through the rollers with simultaneous displacement of the rollers e, d in the direction of arrow II promoted. The real moiré ect then arises under the action of pressure. You can now lift the rollers a, b from each other after the passage of the relevant piece of the material web and return the rollers c, d to the initial position, then put the rollers under pressure again and a new piece of the Send the web of material through the rollers in the same direction as before.
But you can also leave the rollers under pressure after a piece of the web has passed through, but change their direction of rotation, with the rollers c, d being guided in the opposite direction at the same time and a new piece of the wa Edit the track so that a reciprocating operation takes place. Finally, the same piece of the material web can also be processed back and forth, with an increased moiré effect being achieved.
It is important to ensure that the paragraph-wise processed pieces of the web of material overlap somewhat by preferring the new piece to be processed only up to the boundary line g of FIG. 1, so that no attachment strips arise.
It is not absolutely necessary that a pressing device in which the rollers are known to rest in fixed bearings is used. It can be arranged laterally immovable, the web itself, where the rollers can roll across the web of goods.
