Rotor for electrical machines. It is known to provide the cylindrical surface of rotors with cooling grooves of mostly rectangular cross-section, which run perpendicular to the axis of rotation, are provided in the material of the rotor and have sharp edges on the rotor circumference,
whereby the boundary line lying on the circumference of a tendon of the rotar going through the rotor axis is a broken line.
In the case of rotors of turbo generators equipped with such cooling grooves, however, strong friction and turbulence losses occur at high circumferential speeds of the rotor, so that the advantages achieved by the larger cooling surface are lost again. The same disadvantages are also present ,
if the cooling grooves run approximately perpendicular to the axis of rotation and are only partially rounded, for example only on one edge.
The object of the present invention is to reduce the friction losses to a large extent despite the retention of the outer cooling surface and to make the cooling more effective. This is achieved according to the invention in that the grooves are created in such a way that the circumferential boundary line of a section through the axis is curved convexly outward in its radially outer parts, similar to a circular arc.
Some embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are illustrated, for example, on the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a section through a turbo generator indicating only the contour lines, while FIG. 2 shows a rotor with helical cooling grooves and undulating boundary line located on the rotor circumference a cut through the axis,
as well as a speed parallelogram drawn in <B> the </B> figure; FIG. 3 shows the alignment of the cooling grooves according to FIG. 22 on a larger scale; Fig. 4 is helical ver running, but closer to each other and deeper worked out cooling grooves again; FIG. 5 shows a rotor with cooling grooves running parallel to the axis of rotation.
In the case of turbo generators of the type shown, for example, in FIG. 1, the cooling air sucked in by a fan 4 is fed into the gap between the rotor 1 and the stator 2 <B> 3 </B> blown in. The air exits the blower in the aelisial direction, namely approximately at the speed iv shown in FIG. 2, in order to enter the gap <B> 3 </B> immediately thereafter.
Compared to the rotor rotating at a certain circumferential speed, the air entering perpendicular to the circumference has an ente- # eo, enaesetzt o-erielitete relative IIt'2n el circumferential speed of the same size; it would therefore be seen from the circumference of the rotor from below that by the result of the two. Velocities ir, u and the circumferential speed enclosed angle α occur.
During the passage through the gap <B> 3 </B> the real speed increases by a bit, mainly as a result of the greater volume caused by the heating of the air, while the relative circumferential speed increases u decreases due to the friction of the air on the rotor surface, so that the resultant of the velocities ir and it with the rotor axis no longer has the angle <B> ss' </B> # <B> (90 - </B> a) ,
Instead, it forms a decreasing angle f1, which decreases down to the size ss "at the exit point of the air from the gap. The angle <B> ss </B> thus results as the angle of inclination of the actually existing relative speed over and over the direction of the axis of rotation of the rotor. The channels <B> 5 </B> must therefore serve to guide the cooling air if the air is to flow in them with as little friction as possible,
Include the angle <B> ss </B> with the axial extension of the cylindrical rotor. The cooling grooves are, as can be seen from FIGS. 2 to 4, wave-shaped and wavelike everywhere, thus above all to the outside, that is, in their radia, 1 outer parts, an arc-shaped rounded cross-section, so that the friction and Vortex losses in the air even in the event that
that the cooling air is not completely guided in the ducts should be kept as low as possible. When the grooves enclose the angle <B> ss </B> with the axis alignment and thus the air is guided through the ducts, i.e. not over them, as in the previous versions. so the <B> Z, </B> ZD grooves can also be made deeper and closer together (Fig. 4), whereby 21 t:
'' the cooling surface increased significantly. becomes. <B> n </B> Instead of arranging the grooves in the form of selirauben lines, they can also be remäss Fio-. Let <B> 5 </B> run in the direction of the rotating shaft, I lose the good guidance through the channels for the most part, so see the friction and turbulence losses increase,
so that in this embodiment a sharp-edged cross-section of the channels must be avoided.
The helically arranged grooves can also be arranged in such a way that the initially, immediately after the entry of the cooling air, form an angle of inclination <B> ss' </B> with the axis of rotation of the rotor, which, however, see to the friction and - # Arirbeliin ", to take account of the air loss, gradually reduced until it has reached its smallest value ss" when the cooling air emerges from the gap <B> 3 </B>.
The cooling grooves according to the invention ensure that the cooling air, which can be moved through the gap <B> 3 </B> between the stator and the rotor at greater speed, is reliably guided and thereby more intensive cooling of the generator is achieved The efficiency of the machine has been improved by <B> C </B> the Verrinoeruno- der Luftreib-Lin-, -wesent- in <B> n kn </B>.
The cooling grooves according to the invention are particularly advantageous in rotors with windings laid in parallel grooves, in which it is not possible to arrange cooling channels of the known type on the teeth, while the arrangement of grooves is quite possible.
