La fig. 1 montre, en perspective, avec parties arrachées, un étui pour bâton -de rouge, l'étui étant fermé; La fig. 2 montre le même étui, le bâton de rouge étant dégagé de celui-ci; La fi-. 3 montre, en coupe transversale, ce même étui, -la. coupe étant faite suivant 3-3 (fig. 1); Les fig. 4 et 5 sont respectivement des coupes semblables à -celle de la fig. 3, de deux étuis établis selon deux variantes -de la forme d'exécution représentée sur les fig. 1 à fig. 3;
Case for object such as lipstick stick, eye pencil, etc. The invention relates to a case for an object such as lipstick stick, eye pencil, etc., which is characterized in that it comprises at least one reflecting surface which, on the one hand , is likely to allow the person, when this one uses the object (red stick), -to follow all the operations which he carries out using this object, and who, of on the other hand, occupies a position such, with respect to the case, when the object is introduced therein and the case is in its non-use position, that the shape and dimensions of said case are not are hardly affected.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, some embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows, in perspective, with parts torn off, a case for a red stick, the case being closed; Fig. 2 shows the same case, the red stick being released from it; The fi-. 3 shows, in cross section, the same case, -la. cut being made along 3-3 (fig. 1); Figs. 4 and 5 are respectively sections similar to that of FIG. 3, two cases established according to two variants of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to fig. 3;
Figs. 6 and 7 show, respectively in perspective and in longitudinal section, a case containing a red stick. This case is shown in fig. 6 in the or green position for which this stick can be used and, in fig. 7, in the closed position: FIG. 8. finally, shows, in longitudinal section, a detail of the latter embodiment.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to. 3, the case a has an equilateral triangular section and the red stick h is established in a sheath c, of corresponding triangular section. This sheath is carried (, by the cover al and and the stick can be d, - placed, as and when it wears out with respect to the sheath by means of a button dl, integral with a a kind of base d in which said stick is engaged, this button sliding in a groove c.
The mirror consists of a metal plate e, at least one of whose faces is polished and which is freely engaged in a housing formed by the gap existing between one of the faces of the case and the neighboring face of the sheath c, the plate sliding by its edges, Clans of the lateral grooves formed in the case. In this way, the polished face or faces of the plate e are not in contact with the walls of the case a and of the sheath c.
The plate e is arranged so that ello automatically leaves its housing being driven by the cover al, when it is taken out. sheath c with stick b from case a. and that it allows, without appreciable effort, that said cover can be separated from it when the. major part of said plate e is released from the case. In this position, the plate nevertheless remains integral with said case which then serves as a support for it.
The temporary connection between the plate e and the cover a 'can be established in any suitable manner, for example as shown in FIG. 1, by leaving one or two longitudinal slots in the end of the plate corresponding to the cover, the edges of which are separated so that the elasticity of the material ensures sufficient support: lateral edges of the plate on the faces corresponding interior of the cover al. E2 heels prevent the e plate from penetrating too deeply into the case when inserting the red stick.
In order to avoid that the plate e comes completely free from the case when removing it therefrom, the corresponding end of the plate is provided with slots e3 acting in the same way as those e 'aforesaid. Heels e ° which abut at fixed points a2 of the case, serve to retain the corresponding end of the -plaque in engagement with the case a.
In the case considered, the button dl is housed in the interval oampris between the corner formed by the case a and that formed by the sheath c. In this way, the overall dimensions are hardly increased. We could introduce into them. intervals, corresponding to the other corners, of toilet instruments or the like, such as a nail file, a toothpick, etc.
In the example shown in fil-. 4, the case has a square cross section and the reflecting surface is formed by a hinged plate at one of the edges of the case, so as to be able to be folded down onto the side face of the case. case. by being held by a suitable stopper, for example a swing hook, a click button, etc., when the mirror is not in use.
The plate c can automatically occupy its position of use, when the stop device is released, under the action of a spring or the like.
The plate e could also be secured by sliding in - grooves mL - formed in one - of the side faces of the case and, in this case, the polished surface of the mirror is obviously directed towards the side of the face. ad jacente de .l'étui. The release of the plate e could also be done by means of a spring, stops being provided to keep said plate in its position of use.
To increase the surface of the mirror, it is possible, as shown in fig. 5, constitute the case in two longitudinal parts cg and a4 hinged together by a de Meurs. adjacent edges by hinges 1a. Each part could also have a cross section of triangular, semicircular or other shape and serve as a housing, one for a stick of red b 'and the other for a stick of black b \ or any other instrument. -toilet.
These two parts are kept pressed against each other, when the mirror is not in use, by a stop device such as: hook, click, etc. The reflective surfaces are provided, in this case, on the two faces i 'and i' along which the two parts are in contact.
When we want to use the mirror, we act on the stop device. to free the two parts and they are moved relative to each other around the axis of articulation until the faces il: and i2 are in the same plane, which can be facilitated by having the hinges include, on the one hand, a spring which automatically ensures the separation of said faces and, on the other hand, a stop -which limits the displacement of the parties.
Instead of the -hinges being established along the longitudinal edge of the faces ii and i \, we could also -dispose them along the neighboring transverse edges of said faces, so that the reflecting surface, after separation of the two parts, has a length substantially equal to twice that of the closed case.
The case could also be arranged so that the two parts which constitute can slide relative to each other, one or the other of the faces ii and i- 'then being reflective and the two being made apparent by .this sliding.
Instead of being constituted by a simple blade, the mirror could be formed by a tubular part, having, for example, the shape of a triangular prism with three reflective faces.
It follows from the foregoing that, whatever the shape and position of the movable mirror, it can always be brought into a position such that it can be used, by an automatic control under the the action of a spring, for example, by a mechanical control, by sliding, by tilting, etc., @the relative displacement of the mirror with respect to the case being made by a special maneuver (lifting, pulling, pushing, displacement progressive with the help of a screw, under the effect of its own weight, by impact, ete.), or by the maneuver necessary to open the case or to release: read stick of red .
The replacement of the red sticks, once they are worn out, presents no difficulty and is done as usual.
It is also possible to constitute the case as in the example shown in FIGS. G, 7 and 8 where it is a stick of red b which must slide relative to the case a, of rectangular cross section, to be brought -in its position of use. In this case, the cover a1 is carried by a plate a5, with a spring, articulated to the case and applied to a lateral face of said. case, when it is closed. The opening of the cover a is controlled by a click button a '.
A spring is made to act on the stick, compressed k resting on the bottom of the case and on the base d, in which is engaged the red stick. hl results from the presence of the spring k that, when using said case, the -stick of rouge is applied to the lips through the intermediary of an elastic piece, which facilitates the regular distribution of the rouge and reduces the risks stick breakage or bending b.
The plate a5, q'111 carries the cover ai., Is provided with a projection l engaged, when the case is closed, -in a slot a, formed therein and furthermore engaging in a housing for the duct c.
As soon as the plate a "is released, by acting on the unclick buttons a ', it is raised, under the action of its spring a, which results in the res sort k pushing the stick of red b until a button d1, carried by the base d, comes into contact with a stopper such that the red stick comes out of the case by a sufficient quantity for us to This button slides over a slot a formed in one of the longitudinal walls of the case, the end of said slot advantageously constituting said stop.
To close the case, all you have to do is slide the button dl in the opposite direction by a sufficient amount against the action of the spring k, and -fold the plate a5 onto the case so that the click can operate automatically and ensure @closure of the case and the projection 1, enter the housing, which is reserved for it in the sheath c of the stick, which prevents the free end of the latter from pressing on the cover a '.
The apparatus is fitted with a mirror e, such that a person can, after having grasped the case a with one hand and having opened it, pass the stick of red b on the lips while going - account of the operation in this mirror. Said mirror is carried by the plate a5, via an axis e ', so as to be able to pivot and take a right angle position, the mirror being temporarily immobilized in one or the other of its po sitions.
This arrangement has the advantage that the person who wants to use the stick of rouge can perform all the operations necessary for the use of this object, using one hand, everything. by being able to monitor the operation it performs in a reflective surface carried by the case.
The mirror could also be engaged in a housing of the case out of which it can be completely disengaged by pushing, pulling, -etc., To be fitted, then, on the case at a suitable point.
The replacement of the red stick, once it is too worn out, can be done as follows.
Between the base d and the sheath c which surrounds the stick, is interposed a part in carrying a star-shaped spring 7a, able to exert, by its points, an elastic pressure on the longitudinal walls of the sheath. This part 73a -est traversed by the control button d ', engaged in two slots in coincidence a, already mentioned, and c (Fig. 8), the slot c, formed -in da sheath.
extending over the entire length thereof.
The case being closed and the sheath c therefore being retained by the projection 1, if the button d 'moves by a sufficient amount. To the side of the opening -of case <I> a, </ I > the piece <I> m, </I> the base <I> d </I> and the stick <I> b </I> are driven -in the same direction.
To be able to replace a worn red stick, we open the case and push, against the action of a spring <I> p, </I> -the button <I> d '</I> until that this button is no longer on the passage -of the stop (end of slot a) which normally retains it and the sheath-stick assembly. is driven out of the device by the action of the trigger of spring k.
The bottom of the sheath c being removable, said bottom is moved aside, one acts by pushing using a rod, introduced through the end corresponding to said bottom, on the base d and the parts which are integral with it until 'so that it seems constituted by these parts as well as the remainder of the stick of rouge which it carries are released from the sheath c. A new stick of rouge is inserted into the batch and this is introduced through the end of the sheath e, which is then closed off by the bottom.
The sheath is, finally, engaged -in the case, taking care to push back the button when the latter presents itself -lifting the side wall of said case, this button being released automatically from the slot a , when he appears before the latter.
The case is thus ready to operate again.
As goes without saying, and as it emerges moreover already from the foregoing, the invention is in no way limited to those of its embodiments, nor to those - the embodiments of its embodiments. various parts that have. more specifically indicated; it embraces, on the contrary, all the variations.
