Frequency relay based on the Ferrari principle. The invention relates to a frequency relay built according to the Ferraris principle, which is characterized in particular by a high level of response and good efficiency.
According to the invention, two drive flows are each formed by a resonance circuit tuned to different response frequencies, which work together with a third drive foot, which is formed by a further resonance circuit tuned to an intermediate frequency of the two response frequencies, in such a way that when one gives Response frequency the Ferraris disc is rotated in one direction and when the other response frequency is given the Ferraris disc is rotated in the other direction.
The switching of the three resonance circuits of the frequency relay can be made in such a way that the resonance circuit tuned to the intermediate frequency is designed as a series circuit connected to the superimposed network and the resonance circuits tuned to the different response frequencies as secondary circuits inductively coupled with the series resonance circuit, or that both Resonant circuits tuned to different response frequencies are designed as parallel circuits and connected in series with the third resonant circuit tuned to the intermediate frequency and designed as a series circuit,
or that the two resonance circuits tuned to different response frequencies are formed as series resonance circuits and both are connected in parallel to the coil of the third series resonance circuit connected to the network.
In the drawing, three embodiments of the invention are shown in FIGS. 1 to 3.
The frequency relay shown schematically in FIG. 1 contains a driving iron 1, which has a return leg 2 and two pole legs 2 ', 2 ". In the air gap 4 formed by the pole legs 2', 2" and the return leg 2 is a drive pulley 5 arranged. Furthermore, Re sonance circuits 6, 7, 8 are provided, one of which forms a series resonance circuit to be connected to the network and the other two each form a secondary resonance circuit inductively coupled to this. Each resonance circuit 6, 7, 8 contains a capacitor 9, 9 ', 9 "and a coil 10, 10', 10".
Here, the coil 10 of the series resonance circuit 6 is placed around the return iron 2, the coil 10 'of the Se rienresonanzkreises 7 around the pole leg 2' and the coil 10 "of the second series resonance circuit 8 around the pole leg 2".
The frequency relay is now controlled by two different response frequencies fi and f2, of which the Ferrari disk 5 is rotated in one direction when the response frequency f1 is given and the Ferrari disk is rotated in the other when the response frequency f2 is given.
The two secondary resonance circuits 7, 8 are coordinated in such a way that one generates maximum torque when the response frequency fi is alive and the other when the response frequency f 2 is given. The series resonance circuit 6 has a most favorable resonance frequency f determined experimentally by means of the capacitor 9 ; which lies between the two response frequencies fi, f2.
When the response frequency fi is given, the secondary circuit 7 now almost resonates. The secondary circuit 8, on the other hand, is then strongly detuned, so that only a weak current flows through the coil 10 ". The effect is then almost the same as if the coil 10" were not present at all. The drive flows are further in size and phase relationship in such a way that a maximum torque is exerted on the ferrari disk 5, which acts in the direction from the pole of the leg 2 "to the pole of the leg 2 'and consequently the Ferraris- disk 5 is rotated in the same sense.
When the response frequency f 2 is given, the opposite occurs. In the resonance circuit 8 there is almost resonance and in the resonance circuit 7 there is a strong mood Ver. The maximum torque now occurring therefore acts on the Ferrari disk in such a way that it is rotated in the opposite direction than when the response frequency f2 was given.
In the frequency relay shown schematically in FIG. 2, the driving iron 1 has a return leg 2 and three pole legs 2 ', 2 ", 2"'. The Ferraris disk 5 is provided in the air gap 4 formed by the yoke leg 2 and the pole legs 2 ', 2 ", 2"'. There are also three resonance circuits 6, 7, 8 available, one of which forms a series resonance circuit and the other two each form a parallel resonance circuit.
The three resonance circuits 6, 7, 8 each containing a capacitor 9, 9 ', 9 "and an excitation coil 10, 10', 10" are now connected in series with a superimposed network. The coil 10 of the resonance circuit 6 is placed around the middle leg 2 ', the coil 10' of the parallel resonance circuit 7 around the pole leg 2 "and the coil 10" of the parallel resonance circuit 8 around the pole leg 2 "'.
The two resonance circuits 7, 8 are again tuned in such a way that one causes a maximum torque when the response frequency fi is given and the other when the response frequency f2 is given. The series resonance circuit is also tuned in such a way that it comes into resonance at a frequency lying between the two response frequencies fi and f2.
When the response frequency fi be sent, there is current resonance in the parallel resonance circuit 7, so that the current in the coil 10 'has a value that is most favorable in terms of size and phase relationship compared to the coil 10. The impedance of the resonance circuit 8 is relatively low here at. The overall current is therefore not significantly weakened. Furthermore, due to the detuning of the resonance circuit 8, the current in the coil 10 "significant tend less than in the coil 10 'of the Reso nanzkreises 7 and in a phase relationship to the current of the coil 10 of the resonance circuit 6, in which no significant torque occurs.
A ma ximal torque is then exerted on the disk 5, the direction of which is dependent on the direction of the winding of the coil 10 '. In order to cause a rotation of the Ferrari disk 5 in one direction when the response frequency fi is given and a rotation of the Ferrari disk 5 in the other when the response frequency f 2 is given, the coils 10 ′, 10 ″ are wound in the same direction of magnetization .
In the embodiment of the frequency relay according to FIG. 3, the same drive iron is used as in that according to FIG. Only here the 3 resonance circuits are designed as series resonance circuits 6, 7, 8, the resonance circuits 7, 8 being connected in parallel to the coil 10 of the series resonance circuit 6 to be connected to the network. The coil 10 of the series resonant circuit 6 is again placed around the central pole leg 2 ', the coil 10' of the series resonant circuit 7 around the pole leg 2 '' and the coil 10 '' around the pole leg 2 "'.
The tuning of the frequency relay is the same as that of the frequency relay shown in Fig. 2 Darge. The series resonance circuit 7 is thus tuned to the response frequency fi, the series resonance circuit 8 to the response frequency f 2 and the series resonance circuit 6 to a frequency lying between the two response frequencies fi and f2.
Accordingly, when the response frequency fi is given, the drive flux generated by the coil 10 'of the series resonance circuit 7 and when the response frequency f2 is given, the drive flux generated by the coil 10 ″ of the series resonance circuit 8 has a value that is most favorable in terms of size and phase relationship ', 10 "wound in the same direction of magnetization, the Ferraris disc 5 receives a maximum torque in one direction in one case and a maximum torque in the other direction in the other.
Although the shape of the drive core of the frequency relays shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is very favorable in terms of space utilization, drive cores of different designs can naturally also be used.
The frequency relay set in action by the control frequency currents sent out by a central office should be used to carry out work processes on switches, tariff counters, clocks or to monitor similar processes.
