Additional patent to main patent no. 129968. Coupling for hose and pipelines. The main patent relates to a coupling for hose and pipelines, which consists of two halves, which are each arranged at the end of the line to be coupled and contain valves which, on the one hand, keep the openings of the line ends open for the Through the passage of the medium, on the other hand, in the uncoupled state, the openings close automatically. The coupling takes place in the Ausfüh shown in the main patent approximately by means of a thread.
This embodiment has the disadvantage that the coupling process takes too long and that the threads are very easily subject to damage and then make coupling considerably more difficult if not entirely impossible.
The present, additional invention now aims to overcome these disadvantages and a quick, safe coupling to he possible.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the additional inventive concept and shows of the same: FIG. 1 shows the longitudinal cross-section through the two coupling parts, in the coupled state, FIG. 2 shows the side view of the one with the opening for the coupling bolt provided part, in uncoupled condition.
1 denotes a coupling half provided with an opening, on which a mediating flap 2a a pivotable housing 2 about bolts 5 is arranged. The tabs 2a run parallel to each other and are located on one longitudinal side of the coupling half 1. The housing 2 has a cover 3 mounted in the pivot pin 4, which in turn exactly fits the inlet opening 2 'intended for the coupling pin. For a dust-free closure, the cover 3 has a covering 3a, which advantageously consists of leather, rubber or the like.
A spring 6 anchored in the bolt 5 acts on the housing 2 and tends to always push the latter downwards, with the aim of pressing the cover 3 onto the opening 2 ′ in the coupling part 1. 7 designates an attachment on the housing 2 which is designed as a handle.
The second coupling half consists of a bolt 9, which is formed from a cylindrical front, but thickened towards the rear and thereby forms a projection 9 '. The latter comes to lie in the coupled state in front of a fork-shaped nose 8 arranged in the housing 2 and is prevented by the same from going back. 10 denotes a metal hose which is connected to the coupling pin 9 and which forwards the medium to the workplace. 11 are the valve balls for the valves already described in the main patent. 12 illustrates a stationary conduit pipe; which introduces the pressure medium into the coupling.
One coupling half 1 is designed and connected to the line 12 in such a way that it can be pivoted at least in one plane (in the drawing, in a horizontal plane). Of course, it could also be arranged so that it can be pivoted in the vertical plane or in both planes at the same time. Furthermore, instead of a projection 9 ', another means for holding the two parts in the coupled state could also be present on the coupling bolt 9. The effect is as follows: To make a coupling, the housing 2 is lifted by the handle 7 so that the inlet opening 2 'is exposed, the coupling bolt 9 is inserted into the latter and then the housing 2 is released again.
As a result, the bolt 9 is held in place by the fork-shaped nose 8 resting on the projection 9 'and prevented from falling out unintentionally. The valves are opened as already described in the main patent. The uncoupling takes place in that the housing 2 is again lifted up so that 'the rear projection 9' of the coupling bolt 9 comes out of the area of the nose 8, the bolt 9 is pulled out and the housing is released. Simultaneously with the dropping of the housing 2, the opening 2 'is closed by the cover 3. Of course, the individual parts could be subject to structural changes.
