Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von weissem Zement aus gefärbten, eisenhaltigen Rohstoffen. Die Erfindung stellt ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von weissem Zement dar, das dem Bekannten gegenüber den Vorteil aufweist, dass es sich ohne weiteres auf alle Rohstoffe anwenden lässt, deren Gehalt an Eisen gross oder klein ist.
Das neue Verfahren ist dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man die gefärbten, eisenhaltigen Rohstoffe, aus denen ein weisser Zement er brannt werden soll, gegebenenfalls unter Bei fügung von Koks oder andern Reduktions mitteln, reduzierend brennt, die entstandenen Klinker zerkleinert, das metallische Eisen entfernt und hiernach die zerkleinerten Klinker mit einem Oxydationsmittel behandelt.
Beispielsweise werden die üblichen Zement- rohstoffe im Gemisch mit 6 % Koks im Dreh- ofen gesintert odergeschmolzen. Bai Erreichung einer Temperatur von 700-900 0 C werden die Eisenoxyde in der entstehenden Kohlen oxydatmosphäre zu Metall reduziert, das in Form feiner Flitter oder Kügelchen in dem erhaltenen Klinker verbleibt.
Nach der Zer kleinerung der Klinker werden die Metallteile mit Hilfe eines Magneten herausgelesen und dann die gepulverte Xlinkermasse etwa eine halbe Stunde auf etwa 500 0 C unter Luft zutritt erhitzt. Dabei verbrennt der etwa vorhandene überschüssige Koks, und das durch die Schwefelbeimengungen des Brennstoffes entstandene Schwefelcalcirrm wird in un schädlichen Gips übergeführt. Den Zement rohstoffen kann man natürlich auch noch Flussmittel zur Herabsetzung der Sintertenr- peratur hinzusetzen.

After the clinker has been crushed, the metal parts are read out with the aid of a magnet and the powdered Xlinker mass is then heated for about half an hour to about 500 ° C. under the influence of air. Any excess coke that may be present burns, and the sulfur calcium produced by the sulfur admixtures in the fuel is converted into un harmful gypsum. Of course, flux can also be added to the cement raw materials to reduce the sintering temperature.
