Pneumatic piston motor for step-by-step control of cam and roller controllers, especially such electric vehicles. The drive device of a cam or roller controller has the task of rotating the controller shaft according to a certain th position of a control member (command organ) by a certain angle, which can include one or more switching stages. The movement should be carried out quickly and precisely and the shaft blocked in the end position of the movement.
Previously known, these requirements ge sufficient embodiments of such drive devices to have pawls, bolts, relays and auxiliary contacts in addition to the actual union drive motor, which often results in a very complicated mechanism. Most known drive devices require, similar to individual switch controls, a large number of control lines between the control element and the drive element, which have to be guided through clutches in the case of multiple control of several drive units.
Occasionally, a reduction in the number of control lines in a drive device is achieved by increasing the number of relays and contacts or by increasing the switching frequency of these organs.
The present invention is a compressed air control motor which has the neces sary properties of a controller drive and with the help of an un depending on the number of steps and switches of the controller to a minimum number of control lines without using of pawls, relays and auxiliary contacts are controlled th can. The essence of the invention is that a group of cylinders with pistons that work under the action of compressed air on a crankshaft, rotate the same by a certain angle and hold in the end position of the movement, in such a way that.
if a cylinder is emptied from a number of cylinders under pressure in the initial position, the movement after Dre hung by a certain TV angle will hold up, while the further rotation of the shaft by the same angle comes about by re-filling a cylinder. In this way, any number of such rotations can always be switched from one embossed position of the crankshaft to the other by cyclically successive filling and emptying of cylinders, depending on the choice of cycle in both directions.
The way the engine works allows it to be equipped with a small number of valves and pistons, the reliability of which, according to experience, is great.
In the accompanying drawings, the subject matter of the invention is shown in FIGS. 1 to 9 in two exemplary embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows schematically a vierzylin drigen motor with the circuit diagram of its control device; FIGS. 2 to 5 illustrate the positions of the crankshaft corresponding to the individual switching stages; Fig. 6 shows a three-cylinder engine with the circuit diagram of its control unit, while FIGS. 7 to 9 again show individual switching stages corresponding positions of the crankshafts.
In Fig. 1, 5 represents the control or Kom- ruandoorgan. Which is partially represented by the development of a control roller covered with segments. In the signed position of the control roller are located. the contact fingers opposite the control roller at point I, in which the voltage de :. Control current source via the contacts and lines 1, 2 to the magnets of the solenoid valves 7, 8 of the actual motor 11 are placed. As a result, the valves are in such a position that the cylinders 13 and 14 with which the compressed air supply the supply pipe 12 are in communication.
The pistons 17 and 18 of these cylinders are under pressure so that the crankshaft 21 and the piston rods 22 and 28 are in the position shown in FIG. 2, in which the forces acting on the crankshaft 21 as a result of the piston forces are in equilibrium .
The switching of a stage takes place in that the roller of the command organ 5 is rotated in such a way that the contacts pass from point I (position I) to point II (position II). The valve 9 receives power via contact and line 3 and is in a position to fill the cylinder 15. As a result of the pressure generated in this cylinder, the piston 19 exerts a torque on the crankshaft by means of the piston rod 24, which the crankshaft 21 rotates into the position shown in Fig. 3, that is, by a switching angle of 45 clockwise.
In this new position shown in FIG. 3, the moments produced by the piston rods 22, 23, 24 are in equilibrium. If the control drum is rotated further to position III, the valve 7 switches to such a position that the cylinder 13 is connected to the outside air. The pressure above the piston 17 disappears and the crankshaft 21 rotates again in the same direction by 45 ', in which position there is again equilibrium between the moments exerted by the piston rods 23 and 24 and the piston rods 23 and 24 in the position shown in FIG 4 are the position shown.
The other switching operations for one stage each (see Fig. 5) involve executing similar processes in that one valve is always energized or one is switched off in a cyclical sequence. In relation to the contact fingers 1, 2, 3, 4, the cycle for the processes described, i.e. for clockwise switching, is 1, 2 - 1, 2, 3 - 2, 3 - 2, 3, 4 - 3, 4 etc., the reverse cycle 3, 4 2, 3, 4 - 9, 3 -1, 2, 3 - 1, 2 results in counterclockwise switching when the command roller 5 is turned back.
In the engine according to FIG. 1, the crankshaft can adopt eight distinct positions in the course of a rotation through <B> 360 '</B>. By repeating the circuits in the same sense and translating the rotations on the controller shaft 27 by means of a suitable transmission gear 26, any number of stages can be switched. The resulting torque exerted on the crankshaft by the loaded pistons is a maximum at the beginning of a step shift and falls to zero when it is completed.
The course of this resulting torque resulting from the piston forces can be influenced by a compensation device if the design of the controller to be controlled so requires. An example of such a compensating device is shown in FIG. 1 by the compensating disk 28 with roller lever 29 and tension spring 30.
The four-cylinder shown in Figure 1; The engine can also be controlled in such a way that the crankshaft shifts through an angle of 90 from one shift position to the other, in that only two cylinders are under pressure in each shift position and one of the cylinders is relieved to initiate, while at the same time or during the shift movement second cylinder is pressurized by actuating its valve. This switching method is shown in FIGS. 6 to 9 on a three-cylinder engine in which the switching angle of the crank shaft from one position to the other is <B> 1220 '</B>. Such a motor can be controlled by three command lines.
The switching frequency of valves and contacts is doubled by this control method for the connection of a certain number of switching stages compared to a control method, as mentioned in Fig. 1, ver. Without changing the features essential to the invention, the engine can be built with any number of cylinders and in various arrangements thereof.
The valves can be operated electromagnetically, as in the examples drawn, or mechanically, for example with the aid of a camshaft. The engine can also, instead of using valves of such a kind, as indicated in FIGS. 1 and 6, be controlled by taps on the command organ via air lines. If the engine is not built in such a way that it can follow the greatest possible control speed, which is carried out, for example, by hand on the command organ, then the control organ must be inhibited somehow. A sufficient reduction in the control speed is achieved if the command element is provided with a handwheel, which has to be turned by <B> 180 '</B> or by 360 per step.
In rail operations, it would be preferred in an embodiment of the Mo sector according to Fig. 1, not the hand crank, but to inhibit the command roller against excessive rotational speed and to attach an ela-elastic coupling approximately in the form of a spiral spring between the crank and roller.
The whole arrangement could also be made in such a way that the control roller is coupled directly to the motor via a control shaft and runs at the same speed with the same, whereby the command mechanism would have to be designed in such a way that the contact fingers on the motor when the crank is turned The roller are set to be shifted forward or backward by one level until the motor and command roller have switched through the number of levels set by the crank. This type of control would always use the maximum speed of the motor for any air pressure present.
