A l'une des extrémités d'un support 1, sur lequel sont montés le mouvement et le cadran, est articulé, en 3, (in couvercle 2.
A l'autre extrémité de ce support est articulé, en 4, un couvercle 5 dans lequel est ménagée une ouverture 6 fermée par une plaque 7, coulissant à léger frottement dans des guides intérieurs 8, 9. Une petite saillie 10 permet d'amener cette plaque der rière la partie pleine 11 du couvercle, ce qui découvre le cadran.
Les deux couvercles articulés du sup port 1 sont maintenus dans la position de fermeture représentée en traits continus fig. 1, par un des dispositifs connus dans la fabri cation des montres, de façon qu'un petit effort suffise pour les ouvrir. Leur mouve ment est limité de façon cornue et ils ne peuvent pas dépasser les positions dessi nées.
Le couvercle 5 n'est pas destiné à être ouvert par le porteur de la montre, mais seulement par l'horloger qui fixe le mouve ment et le cadran au support 1.
Lorsque le couvercle 2 est dans la posi tion -en traits interrompus, représentée fig. 1, l'ensemble de la montre constitue une montre chevalet, le couvercle 5 reste fermé, mais on abaisse la plaque 7.
De préférence l'axe de l'articulation 4 sera disposé pour que l'ouverture du cou vercle 5 produise une torsion de cet axe qui tendra toujours à ramener le couvercle dans la position de fermeture.

At one end of a support 1, on which the movement and the dial are mounted, is articulated, in 3, (in cover 2.
At the other end of this support is hinged, at 4, a cover 5 in which is formed an opening 6 closed by a plate 7, sliding with slight friction in internal guides 8, 9. A small projection 10 allows to bring this plate behind the solid part 11 of the cover, which reveals the dial.
The two hinged lids of the support 1 are held in the closed position shown in solid lines in fig. 1, by one of the devices known in the manufacture of watches, so that a small effort is sufficient to open them. Their movement is retort restricted and they cannot go beyond the drawn positions.
The cover 5 is not intended to be opened by the wearer of the watch, but only by the watchmaker who fixes the movement and the dial to the support 1.
When the cover 2 is in the position -in broken lines, shown in fig. 1, the entire watch constitutes an easel watch, the cover 5 remains closed, but the plate 7 is lowered.
Preferably, the axis of the articulation 4 will be arranged so that the opening of the cover 5 produces a torsion of this axis which will always tend to bring the cover back to the closed position.
