Description
Auf dieser Zeichnung ist mit1 ein Pro pellerrad mit vier Schaufeln 2 bezeichnet; 3 ist der Aussenrand der Schaufeln;d die vertikale Schaufelhöhe; 4 das Gehäuse;5 der freie Spielraum zwischen äusserem Rand 3 der Schaufel 2 und dem Gehäuse 4;6 die Abrundung am äussersten Eintrittsende der Schaufeln;7 der Leitapparat der den Was- serzufluss zum Rad1 reguliert;8 ist eina dreieckförmige Nute, welche in der zylindri- sehen Fläche des Gehäuses auf Schaufelhöhe schräg zur axialen Richtung eingeschnitten ist;
Device on turbines and pumps with impellers without an outer ring for removing foreign bodies that are trapped between the housing and the outer edge of the blades. It is known that with rimless impellers, mainly impellers with adjustable blades, the foreign bodies, such as debris and short wood, carried into the wheel by the water, especially during high water, are often wedged between the blades and the housing, whereby they turn with the wheel and are pressed more and more against the outlet of the ILdes.
The foreign bodies trapped in this way generate a braking effect due to the friction in the housing, which can greatly reduce the efficiency and what is worse, they can cause unilateral forces which act on the shaft and thereby cause dangerous vibrations of this shaft and its guide bearings.
The purpose of the invention is to automatically remove the foreign bodies jammed in this way between the blades and the housing by rotating the wheel itself. For this purpose, at least one groove is cut into the housing at blade height, with each groove opening the direction of rotation of the wheel related, running edge is formed as a sharp edge and each groove is directed in such a way that it did not interfere with the movement of water in the wheel.
The accompanying drawing shows schematically an embodiment of the subject invention on a vertical water turbine with a propeller without an outer ring.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the axis of the turbine, Fig. 2 shows part of a longitudinal section transversely through an impeller blade of this turbine from the axis of rotation; Fig. 3 shows a cross section through the nozzle of this turbine, Figs. 4 and 5 show details on a larger scale.
In this drawing, a propeller wheel with four blades 2 is designated by 1 ; 3 is the outer edge of the blades; d is the vertical blade height; 4 the housing; 5 the free space between the outer edge 3 of the blade 2 and the housing 4; 6 the rounding at the outermost inlet end of the blades; 7 the diffuser that regulates the flow of water to the wheel 1 ; 8 is a triangular groove that opens into the cylindrical surface of the housing Blade height is cut obliquely to the axial direction;
9 is a sharp edge of this groove, namely the leading edge in relation to the direction of rotation of the wheel 1 ; 10 is wood waste; < B> 11 is a brushed steel knife; 12 are arrows that indicate the movement of the water and the direction of rotation of the impeller.
. The method of operation of this device is as follows: The floating wood waste 10 is discharged from the guide device 7 by the rotation of the water in front of the Entry into wheel 1 hurled against housing 4. Some of this waste is caught by your rounded end 6 of the blade edge and penetrates more and more into the clearance 5 . If this play decreases due to irregular wear against the outlet and no protective device is provided, these pieces of wood are pressed very strongly against each other until they finally form a solid mass that more or less brakes the wheel.
If the blades are braked unevenly, the shaft is subjected to vibrations which can become dangerous over time. This harmful phenomenon will only cease when the trapped foreign bodies are torn out or, as a result of the friction, abraded in such a way that they fall into the suction tube. The sharp edge 9 of the groove 8 is now used to quickly shred the waste, which takes place with every revolution of the wheel, since this sharp edge looks like a Plane acts on the foreign body. By increasing the number of grooves, this process will of course take place even more quickly.
Since the cutting edge 9 of the groove is exposed to a more or less great wear , it can be implemented by an inserted piece of more resistant material than the housing, which Piece can easily be replaced after wear. In the case of pumps, the relevant grooves will be arranged in a mutual sense to that of the turbine wheels.
