Cable system for floor heating. In the operation of cable systems for floor heating, there have been considerable grievances in that the pieces of cable protruding from the ground were heated too much and were often destroyed if the heating cables were subjected to as high a load as their load capacity in the ground . In order to avoid burns, the load must be kept as low as it corresponds to the load capacity of the cable in air. However, this has the consequence that the cables are only insufficiently utilized and a correspondingly larger number of cables has to be laid in order to achieve sufficient heating of the ground.
However, this greater number of cables makes the overall system much more expensive. Apart from that, the inconvenience of laying a larger number of cables remains that a larger number of cable pieces have to be led out of the ground and combined so that the ends are again due to the close proximity in the air and in the junction boxes be heated to an inadmissible high degree.
According to the invention, these inconveniences are eliminated in that the conductor wires of the cables have different resistance per unit length, the cable pieces whose conductors have higher resistance per unit length are in the ground and the cable pieces which are led out of the ground , Wires have lower resistance per unit length. This ensures that, despite the full load on the cables, the pieces protruding from the ground are not excessively heated.
One can, for example, separate and also pieces of pegs, the conductors of which must have lower resistance per unit of length. the actual heating cables, the conductors of which must have a higher resistance per length unit, must be produced for themselves and connected to one another using sleeves that are conveniently placed close to the surface of the earth.
It is, however, more advantageous if you connect the head higher resistance per unit length and the lower resistance per unit length with each other before you complete the cable. illan cuts the higher resistance conductors per unit length and the lower resistance per length unit to the required length and connects them to one another, for example by welding. But you can also on certain sections of the conductor hö higher resistance on the conductor additional Liches conductor material of lower resistance per unit length. Apply, for example, in the form of a lapping pipe jacket, in helical strips and by electrolytically generated deposits.
The conductors of higher resistance per unit of length and the lower resistance per unit of length are then wrapped together with the insulation and surrounded by a common metal jacket.
Appropriately, different normal lengths of the conductor higher resistance are set according to the load capacity of the cable for different operating voltages. The lengths of the conductors of lower resistance can be kept as it is advantageous for the laying of the cables.
In order to be able to distinguish between the cables with lower resistance per unit length and those with higher resistance per unit length when laying, either one or the other or both, for example, are indicated by colors. During assembly, the cables are then cut so that the cable pieces equipped with a wire with a higher resistance per unit length come to rest in the ground, while those provided with a wire with a lower resistance per unit length protrude from the ground. The latter have practically no heating at the loads in question for the system and can therefore be collapsed or grouped together without any risk.
Through these measures one achieves. that the entire cable system can be fully loaded and the most favorable efficiency is achieved.
The figure shows a Ausführungsbei game of the invention. It is 2 of the ground, in which a floor heating cable 3, which is with. a wire of higher resistance per unit length is fitted. -f represents. represents the point at which a wire with a lower resistance per unit length is welded to the wire with a higher resistance per unit length before the completion of the cable. During assembly, the cable is cut so that the piece of cable 5, 'which is provided with the wire of lower resistance per unit length, protrudes from the ground.
