Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Chlor und     Broin    enthaltenden     Küpenfarbstofies.       Im Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren zur  Darstellung eines Chlor und Brom ent  haltenden     Küpenfarbstoffes    beschrieben, bei  dem 1     Mol        Isodibenzanthron    in     Gegenwart     von     Chlorsulfonsäure    und von Katalysatoren  mit mindestens einem halben     Mol    eines     bro-          mierenden    Mittels behandelt wird.  



  Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man       einen    Farbstoff von ähnlichen     Eigenschaften     erhalten kann, wenn man 1     Mol        Di-          benzanthron    in     Gegenwart    von     Chlorsulfon-          säure    und Selen, eventuell unter Zusatz von  Jod, mit mindestens     l1/2        Mol    eines     bromie-          renden        Mittels    behandelt.  



  Der erhaltene     Küpenfarbstoff,    ein     Tri-          bromdichlordibenzanthron,    ist ein     dunkelvio-          lettes    Pulver, löst sich in konzentrierter  Schwefelsäure mit     violetter    Farbe und liefert  auf     Baumwolle    aus blauer     Küpe    klare,     kräf-          tige,    rotviolette Färbungen von hervorragen  den Echtheitseigenschaften.

      <I>Beispiel 1:</I>  Eine Lösung von 46 Teilen     Dibenz-          anthron    in 460 Teilen     Chlorsulfonsäure    wird  nach Zugabe von 4 Teilen Selen bei     gewöhn-          licher    Temperatur mit 35 Teilen Brom ver  setzt und so lange unter Rühren auf 65 bis  <B>70'</B> C erwärmt, bis die Hauptmenge des  Broms aufgenommen ist.     Man    lässt     erkalten     und arbeitet in der üblichen Weise auf.  



       Beispiel   <I>2:</I>  Man löst bei gewöhnlicher     Temper < zL 2,     46 Teile     Dibenzanthron    in 460 Teilen       Chlorsulfonsäure,    gibt 4 Teile Jod und  4 Teile Selen zu und lässt unter Rühren  35 Teile Brom zufliessen. Hierauf erhöht  man die Temperatur langsam auf<B>70'</B> C.  rührt, bis die Hauptmenge des Broms auf  genommen ist, lässt     erkalten    und arbeitet wie  üblich auf.

  The vat dye obtained, a tribromodichlorodibenzanthrone, is a dark violet powder, dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a violet color and provides clear, strong, red-violet colorations with excellent fastness properties on cotton from a blue vat.

      <I> Example 1: </I> A solution of 46 parts of dibenzanthrone in 460 parts of chlorosulphonic acid is, after addition of 4 parts of selenium, mixed with 35 parts of bromine at normal temperature and kept at 65 to <B> while stirring Heat> 70 'C until most of the bromine has been absorbed.
