Gas-tight annealing furnace. In gas-tight annealing furnaces, in which the annealing of the annealing material takes place in an atmosphere of non-oxidizing gas, the supply of the annealing material into the annealing space while at the same time making good sealing of the annealing space against the outside space makes difficulties. In order to avoid these difficulties, it has already been proposed to provide the glow chamber of the furnace with a prechamber, one part of which is made movable. In the previously known designs, the Bo was in many cases the antechamber, which carries the material to be glowed, moved by special hoists or support devices.
The disadvantage here is that the sealing means (channel or cup) arranged at the bottom of the antechamber always has to be moved while the furnace is being charged, which impairs a secure seal of the furnace. The use of special lifting devices for lifting and lowering the goods is cumbersome and expensive. These disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that the bottom part of the antechamber is firmly connected to the furnace masonry. The bottom part of the prechamber can be surrounded by a solid sealing groove into which the lower edge of the jacket is immersed, so that the glow space is sealed in a gastight manner while the prechamber is being charged.
In the drawing Ausführungsbei are shown games of the invention.
According to Fig. 1, 1 is the glow chamber with heating resistors, 2, 2 are two precham numbers. The jacket 3 dips with its upper bent part into the deep groove 5. While it rend with its lower end in the gutters 4 you is. A sealing groove 8 is attached to the inside of this can be raised and lowered, into which the cover 7 engages.
The furnace is being loaded. follow in front of it as follows: the jacket 3 is first lowered so that it engages in the sealing channel 4 so that the antechamber 2 is completely airtight and gas-tight from the glow chamber 1 by a sealing joint. The cover 7 is now removed and the carriage 6 with the annealing material is brought into the antechamber. The antechamber is then flushed through with carbon dioxide gas, which has the advantage of only being mixed with air to a small extent because of its high specific weight, and then the cover 7 is put back on.
In the further course, the jacket 3 is lifted together with the cover 7 with the aid of the lifting device 9, so that the antechamber 2 comes into contact with the glow space 1. The beaded edge of the jacket 3 is large enough that it still dips into the deep channel 5 even when it is raised, so that the gas in front of the chamber and annealing furnace is protected from the ingress of air. Now the car 6 is driven into the annealing room and the coat can be lowered back into its deep position who the. The amount of gas displaced when lowering the jacket including the lid is diverted into a special gas container, not shown, on the one hand to avoid excessive pressure in the furnace and on the other hand not to have to blow off the relatively expensive gas.
This gas container is superfluous if, with the help of the lifting device 9, the movable jackets of the two antechambers are brought into connection with one another in such a way that the other antechamber is always closed to the same extent when opening one antechamber, so that the volume of the glow chamber and Antechamber remains fairly constant. One coat always forms the counterweight to the other.
The efficiency of the furnace can be increased if at least one antechamber is equipped with a cooling device 10, the cooling coil being mounted inside the lowerable jacket.
Another embodiment is shown in FIG. 2. Here, both the cover 17 and the jacket 13 provided with a collar dip into the same fixed sealing groove 15. The cover 17 is provided here with a bushing 18 for the lifting rod of the jacket 13.
