Elektrischer Handtnchtroehner. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen elektrischen Handtuchtrockner, etwa für die Toilette von Restaurants, Vergnügungs lokalen, für Küchen etc., welcher eine elek trisch beheizte, drehbare Trocknungswalze zur Aufnahme eines hängenden, endlosen Handtuches und ein unterhalb der Walze befindliches Leitorgan in solcher Anordnung besitzt, dass, während der eine Trum des Handtuches von der Walze senkrecht herab hängt, der andere in Anlage am untern Teil des Walzenumfanges über das Leitorgan hin weg niedergeführt wird, zum Zwecke, das Handtuch auf fast dem ganzen Umfang der Walze daran in Anlage zu halten,
so dass ein rasches Trocknen des Handtuches erzielt werden kann.
Die beiliegende Zeichnung veranschau licht ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfin dungsgegenstandes.
Fig. 1 ist ein senkrechter Querschnitt des selben; Fig. 2 ist teilweise ein Längsschnitt, teil weise eine Oberansicht der Walze. In zwei Konsolen A ist eine Trocknungs- walze B drehbar und aushebbar gelagert. Die Walze B hat die Form einer Trommel mit lösbaren Endwangen. Sie enthält ein-- stationären elektrischen Heizwiderstand .' der von einem rohrförmigen Träger a ge tragen wird. Dieser Träger a tritt an einem Ende aus der Walze B heraus, welcher er als Lagerzapfen dient, indem die Walze um den Träger a und auf dem Lagerzapfen ca' drehbar ist.
Durch den Träger a ist die Stromzu- und -ableitung c nach aussen ge führt, um an einen Anschlusskontakt ange schlossen zu werden. Um die Walze B ist ein hängendes endloses Handtuch E geführt. Unterhalb der Walze B ist ein drehbarer Leitstab D, zweckmässig aus Glas, derart an geordnet, dass er für den einen Trum des Handtuches eine solche Führung bildet, dass dasselbe die Walze B fast auf ihrem ganzen Umfang umschliesst.
Unter diesen Umständen hängt der eine Trum des Handtuches von der Walze B direkt senkrecht herab, während der andere Trum des Handtuches in An- lage am untern Teil des Walzenumfanges über den Leitstab D hinweg niedergeführt wird. Man erhält auf diese Weise ein rasches Trocknen des Handtuches auf der geheizten Walze, dies umsomehr, als bei der Benutzung des Handtuches durch Zug an dem von der Walze direkt herabhängenden Hand tuchteil das Handtuch satt an die Walze an gelegt und nachgezogen wird.
Statt des stationären Heizwiderstandes könnte auch eine stationäre elektrische Heiz- lampe verwendet oder auch in die Wandung der Trommelwalze ein elektrischer Heiz- widerstand eingebaut werden.
Die Trocknungswalze B kann aus ihren Lagern in den Konsolen ausgehoben werden, um etwa das Handtuch auszuwechseln. In ausgehobenem Zustande kann die eine End wange der Walze B entfernt werden, was zum Beispiel zur Prüfung oder zur Aus wechslung des Heizwiderstandes notwendig werden kann. Die Walze kann aus Alu minium oder anderem beheizbarem Material bestehen.
Electric towel dryer. A drying roller B is mounted in two brackets A so that it can rotate and be lifted out. The roller B has the shape of a drum with detachable end cheeks. Through the carrier a, the current supply and discharge line c is led to the outside ge in order to be connected to a connection contact. A hanging endless towel E is led around the roller B. Below the roller B is a rotatable guide rod D, expediently made of glass, arranged in such a way that it forms such a guide for one strand of the towel that it encloses the roller B almost over its entire circumference.
Under these circumstances, one strand of the towel hangs down directly and vertically from the roller B, while the other strand of the towel is drawn down over the guide rod D in contact with the lower part of the roller circumference. In this way, the towel dries quickly on the heated roller, all the more so than when the towel is used by pulling on the towel part directly hanging down from the roller, the towel is placed on the roller and pulled down.
Instead of the stationary heating resistor, a stationary electric heating lamp could also be used or an electric heating resistor could also be built into the wall of the drum roller.
The drying roller B can be lifted out of its bearings in the consoles, for example to change the towel. In the lifted state, one end cheek of the roller B can be removed, which can be necessary, for example, to test or to change the heating resistor. The roller can consist of aluminum or other heatable material.
