Lighter (the pocket. The present invention relates to a gasoline pocket lighter, characterized in that the advancement of the flint is obtained by an elastic member pressing on the latter via a rigid member located partially the interior of the tube guiding the stone, the elastic member being located entirely outside the latter.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of a lighter according to the invention.
Figs. 1 to 3 relate to the first form and represent: the first the upper part of the lighter and the other two details.
Figs. 4 to 6 show details of the second embodiment.
On the body 1 of the lighter shown in FIG. 1, are located the tube 2 intended to support the wheel 3, the burner 4 and the stove 5.
In the tube 2 is, guided by this tube, the flint 6 against which rests a rigid member in the form of a rod 7 partially contained in the tube 2. On this rod rests an elastic member in the form of a blade spring 8 fixed by screw 9 on lighter 1.
This arrangement of the members intended to produce the advancement of the stone and to press the latter against the wheel, is shown more clearly in FIG. 2, in which the tube 2 has not been shown. The reference indications in this figure correspond to those in fig. 1.
The leaf spring 8 is shown in more detail in FIG. 3.
When you want to replace the stone, it suffices to slightly unscrew the screw 9 so as to release the blade 8 which can then be brought forward for example, by rotating it around the screw, which makes it possible to extract organ 7 and place a new stone in it.
Figs. 4 and 5 show, apart from tube 2, a lateral and plan view of there arrangement of the members intended to produce the advancement of the stone and to press the latter against the wheel on a lighter according to the second time of execution.
Here, the spring blade has been replaced by a steel wire 10 fixed to the lighter 1 by the screw 9 and pressing against the stone 6 a rod 11 having for this purpose bare notch 12.
The spring 10 is shown in more detail in FIG. 6.
To replace the stone, it will not be necessary to unscrew the screw 9, we can simply bring the spring 10 back slightly, so as to take it out of size 12, which will have the effect of releasing the rod 11.
By this arrangement of the spring on the outside of the tube guiding the stone, it is possible to give the latter such dimensions and elasticity that the flint can be supported with an approximately invariable pressure, whatever its size. degree of wear, which is not possible with small spells housed in the tube itself. These last must from time to time be tightened by means of a screw and that at the leak and as the stone wears.
