Method and device for the production of asbestos cement pipes. It is known for asbestos cement pipes connecting parts such as sleeves and the like to be subsequently attached to the pipe by either partially pushing a piece of a larger pipe onto the pipe end to form an aluminum and connecting it to the pipe end by means of a binding agent or by attaching to the pipe end equal-sized iron auxiliary pipe is pushed, after which a sleeve made of asbestos cement paste is formed over the joint, which adheres to the asbestos cement pipe after it hardens, but this is allowed after the auxiliary pipe has been subsequently removed.
These methods have the disadvantage that they are cumbersome and time-consuming.
In the method according to the invention, the asbestos cement slurry is brought into a form that has an extension at one end, and that at the same time a connecting part is formed by this extension at one end of the pipe to be produced.
The device for performing the method according to the invention is designed so that a hollow core is rotatably arranged in an outer molded part, which has an extension at one end, which has a screw-type pressing device for the introduced asbestos paste.
The drawing shows an embodiment example of a device for performing the method according to the invention, in which FIG. 1 is a broken vertical section through the device and FIG. 2 is a cross section of the same along line II-II in FIG. 1; 3 is a view of the press device.
The device has an outer mold part 1, which consists of two identical halves and by means of screws 2 can be assembled. The molded part 1 rests with its widened end 3 on a disk 4 which is inserted into a recess 5 in the end or base plate 6. The part of the disc 4 which lies over an annular groove 7 of the base plate 6 is provided with openings 8 which serve to let the excess water of the asbestos cement introduced into the cavity 9 through into the annular groove 7, from which it passes through channels 10 can expire.
The cavity 9 of the mold for forming the asbestos-cement pipe to be produced is delimited on the inside by a hollow core 11; which runs coaxially to the outer molding 1 ver and is rotatably arranged in this. The hollow core is expediently guided at the lower end of the mold in the base plate 6 and at the upper end of the same in a locking piece, not shown, of the outer mold part 1. The hollow core 11 can be rotated by hand or by machine.
At the lower end of the mold, an annular shaped piece 12 is placed around the hollow core 11, which is supported on the disk 4 and the outer surface of which is designed so that it is used with the extension 3 of the outer shaped part 1 to form a pipe socket The cavity is limited to the inside.
A pressing device for the asbestos cement paste introduced into the mold is inserted into the hollow core 11, which is formed from a cylindrical hollow body 13 of the same cross-section as the hollow core 11 and is provided at both ends with a thread 14 or 15 is connected to this. The upper end of the hollow body 13 is completed by a conical wall part 16 which runs out into a tip.
On the casing part of the hollow body 13, helical press ribs 17 are detachably arranged and openings in the form of inserted sieves 18 are provided to drain the water pressed out of the pulp. The ribs 17 are provided with teeth 20 which are intended to comb the asbestos fibers when the core 11 is rotated, similar to the teeth of a comb.
In the wall part of the hollow core 11 lying next to the pressing device, slots 19 are arranged which enable the asbestos cement slurry to enter the cavity 9 of the mold from inside the hollow core 11 in the direction of arrows r1 in FIG. The fact that the pressing device is detachably arranged on the upper part of the plow core 11 enables the same to be exchanged for another according to the wall thickness of the pipe to be produced.
When using the device for the production of an asbestos-cement pipe, the asbestos-cement paste is introduced through the hollow core 11 at the upper end of the same. The pulp then flees down inside the hollow core until it strikes the conical wall part 16 of the pressing device facing its inflow and is deflected laterally by this to enter the cavity 9 of the mold above the pressing device.
Now the hollow core 11 is rotated counter to the clockwise direction of rotation, whereby the pressing device ver may its helical pre-ribs 7 7 acts like a screw conveyor, unscrews from the asbestos-cement paste and loves the hollow core 11 upwards.
The press ribs 17 exert a uniform pressure on the cement slurry corresponding to the weight of the core 11 over the entire length of the asbestos-cement pipe to be produced, so that the asbestos-cement pipe is completely homogeneous. The water squeezed out of the pulp by the press ribs flows through the openings 18 to the interior of the hollow core 11.
After the pulp has been pressed into the mold, i.e. the pressing device has reached the upper end of the pipe, the t-thread 15 is unscrewed and the pressing device and the upper pipe part of the hollow core 11 are removed, while the lower pipe part of the same up to After the paste has hardened, it remains in the asbestos cement pipe as a mold base. To increase the pressure exerted on the asbestos-cement slurry, the hollow core 11 can still be weight-loaded.
The device can also be used to manufacture flanged pipes - if the extension 8 of the outer shape, part 1, is designed accordingly and the fitting 12 is omitted.
