Fig. 1 zeigt den Erfindungsgegenstand in Vorderansicht; Fig. 2 stellt denselben an einem Schein werfer montiert dar.
Device for headlights, especially for vehicles such as automobiles, motor boats, etc., which allows signaling through fog and dimming. The present invention relates to a device for headlights, especially for vehicles such as automobiles, boats, etc., which allows a Fahrge speed of up to 35 km per, even in extremely dense fog, for example on the road, with sufficient visibility Observe the hour, i.e. when other drivers can no longer drive their car due to a lack of visibility without risking an accident.
When using the device, however, not only is the smoke screen broken in order to obtain sufficient visibility, it is also masked off and therefore no further masking is required when vehicles come across.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment on attached gender drawings.
Fig. 1 shows the subject matter of the invention in front view; Fig. 2 shows the same mounted on a headlamp.
The device shown has a transparent pane 1 which is surrounded by a frame 2. The disk 1 can consist of glass, celluloid, etc. It has color fields 3, 4 and 5. According to Fig. 1, the color field 3 has the shape of a segment of a circle and is white, the color field 4 has the shape of an isosceles triangle and is red, while the color field 5 occupies the remaining area of the trans parent disc 1 and is blue Colors and color field arrangements which in detailed tests were found to be the most favorable for the purposes at hand.
On the frame 2 loops 6 and a these penetrating with buckle 7 provided straps 8 are provided by means of which fastening organs the device according to FIG. 2 is releasably attached to a headlight fer S or set before. The operation of the described device is now as follows; The headlamp light cone penetrating through the transparent pane 1 is broken down into its radiation purposes or colors, namely into a near zone N of approx. 20 meters, into a far zone F and into a warning zone W according to FIG. 2.
The near zone N is formed by the color field 3 and is therefore white, while the far zone .b 'is created by the color field 4 and is red. The warning zone W is formed by the color field 5 with blue coloring. The headlight cone is thus broken down into three differently colored light beams. The near zone is illuminated unchanged in white without any flashback due to its low position. Far zone I 'pierces the fog wall at a great distance and illuminates the silhouettes of the obstacles in the fog.
The warning zone yi% partially frames the fog-breaking core of the far zone with a blue colored light typical of motor vehicles, which can be seen by oncoming people at a sufficiently large distance. As the light cone is broken down into different colors, it is no longer necessary to dim the headlight in particular.
The arrangement of the color fields in the transparent pane 1 and their coloring can be any. The device can instead of being removed from the front headlights also be stationary and partly movable, but not removable, so that the device can be used appropriately by simply moving part of the same.
