Description
Process for the comminution of animal components. Patent No. 128855 describes a method for comminuting female organs in nersecretory for the purpose of producing a product from which the active ingredients can be extracted with good yield, characterized in that the fresh organs, optionally with the addition of water-binding agents, on so low temperatures so that they stare and pulverize them in this state.
Patent No. 139324 describes the application of this technique to male gonads.
As has been found, animal components which are low in germ gland hormones and which contain therapeutically active substances can also be comminuted in an analogous manner.
Example 1: 500 gr of fresh anterior pituitary lobes are mixed with solid carbon dioxide and ground after standing for a while. The powdered mass can be extracted with alcohol, for example.
Example 2: Fresh hearts or parts of such warm-blooded animals are cooled with liquid nitrogen and powdered. After thawing, the powder is z. Example extracted with diluted alcohol.
Example 3: 1 kg of fresh beef spleen is cut into small pieces and, after adding 4 kg of calcined sodium sulfate, mixed with solid carbon dioxide. It is then milled and extracted exhaustively with aqueous acetone. The solution is freed from acetone and extracted with ether. The protein substances can be precipitated in the usual way in the aqueous solution. After the water has evaporated, a very deliquescent yellow powder remains, which physiologically contains wn'ksanie substances.
Bone marrow, bovine blood, brain matter, etc., for example, can be treated in the fresh state using the same procedure.
