Auf der Zeichnung sind Ausführungsbei spiele des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt: Fig. 1 zeigt einen wagerechten Schnitt durch einen Kopf der Stromkabelkupplung und lässt den darunter befindlichen Kopf der Mittelpufferkupplung erkennen; Fig. 2 zeigt einen senkrechten Längs schnitt durch die seitlichen Führungen der zwei im Kupplungseingriff befindlichen Köpfe dieser Stromkabelkupplung; Fig. 3 zeigt den einen Kupplungskopf derselben Stromkabelkupplung in Stirnansicht;
wärtigen Endflächen der Ansätze c sind so gestaltet, dass sie eine gelenkartige Bewegung der Ansätze, und zwar ein Kippen um eine wagrechte, in der Ebene dieser Endflächen liegend gedachte Achse unter gleichzeitiger beliebiger geradliniger Längsverschiebung in den Führungshülsen b zulassen, vorausge setzt, dass die Kupplungsköpfe a sich im Kupplungseingriff befinden und demgemäss die Ansätze c durch das Zusammentreffen der Ringflächen der Kabelkuppelköpfe d aus dem verjüngten Teil der Führungshülsen b zurückgeschoben sind, wobei die Federn e, die auf die Kabelkuppelköpfe ei wirken, zu sammengedrücktwerden;
Automatic power cable coupling for railway vehicles provided with an automatic central buffer coupling. The invention relates to an automatic power cable coupling for railway vehicles provided with an automatic central buffer coupling.
There are such automatic power cable couplings known that are connected to the automatic central buffer coupling in such a way that they only allow a shift in the direction of the coupling longitudinal axis relative to the coupling heads of the central buffer coupling when coupling, but otherwise at each displacement of the heads of the central buffer coupling are forced to participate from their normal position.
These known power cable couplings are imperfect because of the last-mentioned property, as any displacement of the guppel heads against each other affects the cross-section of the current transition surfaces and also promotes wear and tear, or damage to the contacts. In the automatic power cable coupling according to the invention, these shortcomings are avoided ver. This is achieved through the special way in which the automatic power cable coupling is attached to the central buffer coupling.
While in the known power cable couplings connected to self-acting central buffer couplings the longitudinal axes of the power cable coupling and the central buffer coupling are immovable relative to one another, the attachment of the power cable coupling according to the invention to the central buffer coupling is carried out in such a way that
that when the coupling is released, the power cable coupling heads are appropriately fixed in relation to the central buffer coupling heads under the influence of a spring load acting on the former, which ensures the correct closure of two power cable couplings when coupling the central buffer coupling heads, but that they connect to each other when coupling arriving power cable coupling heads are combined into a rigid body, which is now movable within sufficient limits compared to the connected central buffer coupling heads,
so that the displacements that the middle buffer coupling heads execute when driving against each other cannot impair the connection of the power cable coupling heads.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown: Fig. 1 shows a horizontal section through a head of the power cable coupling and reveals the head of the central buffer coupling located below; Fig. 2 shows a vertical longitudinal section through the lateral guides of the two coupling-engaged heads of this power cable coupling; 3 shows one coupling head of the same power cable coupling in an end view;
Fig. 4 shows the form of another embodiment the one dome head, also looks at the forehead.
According to FIG. 1, pairs of guide sleeves b are attached to the coupling heads a of the automatic central buffer coupling, which, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, taper towards the front, so that in the front part they form the parts of a hollow cone, a hollow truncated pyramid or the like represent, while they form hollow bodies of semi-cylindrical or semi-prismatic shape in the rear part. Appropriately designed projections c of the coupling heads d of the power cable coupling protrude into these guide sleeves. These approaches are tapered towards the front in the same way as the guide sleeves b. The back.
wärtigen end surfaces of the approaches c are designed so that they allow an articulated movement of the approaches, namely a tilting about a horizontal, in the plane of these end surfaces imaginary axis with simultaneous arbitrary linear longitudinal displacement in the guide sleeves b, provided that the coupling heads a are in coupling engagement and accordingly the projections c are pushed back out of the tapered part of the guide sleeves b by the meeting of the annular surfaces of the cable coupling heads d, the springs e, which act on the cable coupling heads ei, being pressed together;
When the coupling is released, these springs press the tapered parts of the projections c into the correspondingly shaped parts of the guide sleeves b and thereby give the cable coupling heads d the position in which the correct closure of the flow cable coupling is ensured; and in which the longitudinal axes of the cable coupling heads are immovable in relation to the central buffer coupling heads.
The rear end surfaces of the approaches c: completely fill the free cross section of the guide sleeves b, so that no dust or dirt can penetrate into the sleeves b, which could endanger the correct position of the coupling heads d, which ensures the secure coupling connection, when the coupling is released. The resiliently displaceable contact pins f are arranged in the insulation i in the cable coupling heads d .
So that the ends of the contact pins f and the well-known protective rubber ring g, which prevents the ingress of moisture, are not damaged during coupling, protruding strips fa are attached to the upper and lower edges of the end face of the cable coupling.
The contacts f are under the influence of springs k. The sum of the forces of the springs k is smaller than the force of the spring e, so that the coupling heads d are not pushed apart by the force of the springs k.
