Tension spring for screws. Clamping plates are mainly used as screw tensioning devices, namely in the superstructure. These, made from rolled strip, have the disadvantage that a considerable part of the valuable material is uselessly lost during shaping and perforation, and that the rolled fibers are partially cut through.
The production costs are therefore disproportionately high, and: there. the bent plates are also subjected to bending transversely to the rolling direction during tensioning, this promotes the occurrence of breaks.
A flawless clamping device must have the greatest possible spring play (spring deflection) and develop a sufficiently high clamping force that increases steadily when the screw is tightened in relation to the spring deflection. The longitudinal fibers of the rolled rod must not be damaged during the manufacture of the clamping device and this must not be subjected to bending when the screw is tightened transversely to the rolling direction.
These conditions correspond to the tension spring described after and, in the drawing in five exemplary embodiments is presented.
It consists of a rolled rod made of a suitable material of, for example, round, oval or angular cross-section, which is intended to be included in a screw shaft S according to FIG. 1 or 8. mainly polygonal, for example, diamond-shaped or triangular shape and bent to achieve the spring effect according to Fig. ä or. 9 is curved to the horizontal.
In order to secure the position of the tension spring in relation to the screw shaft even more, the roller rod according to FIG. 2 or -6 can also be bent in such a way that it rests more or less closely on the screw shaft.
For practical use, the structural shape according to FIGS. 1 and 4 and the shape according to FIGS larger spring game is important.
