Description

Stone wood composite panel and method of making the same. The invention relates to a composite panel made of stone wood and cement concrete, for example for floor coverings. The known panels of this type have the disadvantage that they easily throw themselves and get cracks due to the large change in space of the stone wood mass that occurs during the setting process of stone wood and the large tensile stresses generated thereby. This does not apply to the new plate because of its peculiar structure. The plate according to the invention consists of two identical and equally strong outer layers of stone wood and a connecting, suitably stronger inter mediate layer of cement concrete.

In the manufacture of the plate, the individual layers are expediently brought into a form in a moist state and pressed together by a hydraulic press with brief pressure.

In the drawing, the new composite panel is shown, for example, in section, namely with cc the middle, relatively strong core or the intermediate layer of cement concrete, with b and bi the same and equally thick outer layers of stone wood.

During the production of the composite panel, a thin layer of stone wood in the earth-moist state is preferably first introduced into a press mold, then a thicker cementitious concrete layer is applied to this and this is then covered by a top layer of equally earth-moist stone wood.

Care must be taken to ensure that the stonewood lower layer is completely identical in thickness and composition to the upper layer, so that the same surface tensions occur as far as possible when the visual layers on the contact surfaces with the concrete layer set. After the forms in the manner described who these exposed to a brief pressure by a hydraulic press, but then removed from the press and set aside to bind from.

PATENT CLAIM I: Stone wood composite panel, characterized in that it consists of two equally thick outer layers of stone wood and a connecting intermediate layer of cement concrete. PATENT CLAIM II: A method for producing a stone-wood composite panel according to claim I, characterized in that a layer of stamped concrete is carried in a mold on an earth-moist lower layer made of stone wood and a second earth-damp stone wood layer is applied to this, which is as strong as the lower layer , and that the three layers are then pressed together by brief pressure using a hydraulic press.
