Feneralarmeinricbtnng.
In Fig. 1 bezeichnet.
Feneralarm equipment. The invention relates to fire alarm devices that are equipped with Signalvorrich lines that indicate on the one hand a lusbruch of fire, on the other hand, an occurrence of errors. These signaling devices are switched via a control circuit from which a line loop is routed through each room to be protected. The current loop here consists of two branches that are closed in series via a power source and a monitoring relay. In both branches of the line, namely in each of the rooms to be protected, circuit breakers are switched on, which interrupt both branches of the line if a fire occurs.
The invention is based on the knowledge that the interruptions in the monitoring circuit, which originate from faults in the line system, occur extremely rarely in both branches at the same time, and that it is possible to make the arrangement so that when a fire breaks out both branches of the line are interrupted.
According to this knowledge, the devices indicating the fire and the faults in the line system are switched by the monitoring relay and at least one fault signal relay such that when a current loop is interrupted in only one branch of the line, a signal indicating an error is triggered and when it is interrupted a fire alarm signal is given in both branches.
The arrangement is expediently made in such a way that the line loops and the monitoring relay, which is located in these line loops, are normally live. In order to reduce the power consumption as much as possible, the relay indicating the faults are normally helped without power before geous. They can be actuated via a contact on the monitoring relay.
The monitoring relay is expediently de-energized both when a line is interrupted, i.e. when a fault occurs, and when both lines are interrupted, i.e. when a fire occurs. Appropriately, the circuits of the relay indicating the error are switched in dependence on the monitoring relay that they are closed over the line loop when the control relay has been de-energized due to an error in the loop.
In the accompanying drawings, exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown, namely FIGS. 1 to 3 show the scarf lines for various embodiments according to the invention.
In Fig. 1 designated. A, a loop connected to a central apparatus and .9. a similar loop, the circuit of which is, however, not shown in detail because it is completely similar to loop A.
The one wire. or conductor L, each loop starts from one pole (for example the positive pole) of a battery B, is passed over a series of normally closed thermostat contacts a and at its opposite end over a control. that is, the monitoring relay R is connected to the other wire L, the loop. The wire L., is fed back through a series of thermostat contacts b, and it runs alongside the wire L.
The contacts cr and b are expediently combined in pairs to form a unitary apparatus T in the manner previously indicated. The wire L., the loop is not directly connected to the other pole (negative pole) of the battery, but is only passed through a normally closed contact K, in the contact set of the relay R and a resistor F, 11. In addition, the arrangement a.m should best emerge from the explanation of the mode of operation below.
Relay B is normally energized by current through the closed loop. where the contact K i is closed, while the other contacts of the relay are open.
If the loop A is operated by the emergence of a conflagration, so that one or more of the thermostat contacts a. b are opened, then conductors L, and L2 are interrupted, relay R is de-energized and its armature drops out. The contact k i is interrupted, but this has no further effect in this case. The other contacts of relay R are closed. Relay R is short-circuited at contact 1-, which also has no effect in this case.
At contact 7c3 a delay relay TR is switched on in a circuit which is led from the positive pole of the battery via the line c, the relay TR and the contact k., to the negative pole of the battery. As soon as the relay TR picks up its armature after a certain period of time, it closes its work contact tr, and via a break contact fr, of the non-excited error relay FR da. normally energized fire alarm relay BR briefly.
The latter drops its anchor and closes its break contacts. Via the contact br, the negative pole of the battery is applied to a busbar MSK of the alarm bells, while the corresponding other busbar PSK via the contact t.-.- of the relay TR and the line c with the positive pole of the battery B is connected .. Alarm bells AK and fire alarm lamp AL connected between the busbars are activated and indicate that a fire has broken out.
The localization of the fire in the premises protected by loop A is indicated by a signal lamp SL. which is assigned to the loop A and which is switched on when the relay R is energized via the line c and via the contacts k ,, k, 3 of the relay R to the battery.
A main fire alarm relay HBS is normally connected in series with the fire alarm relay and therefore does not receive enough current to respond. When the relay TR pulled its anchor, however, the main fire alarm relay HBS was via tr, and fr,
connected to the battery and passed the relay BR. As a result, the relay HM is now energized and activates the main fire alarm system.
In the case of a simple line break in one or the other wire of the loop, for example L_, the current of the control relay R is interrupted, the relay drops its armature and causes the aforementioned switchover of the associated contact set. The battery is switched over so that the two wires of the loop between the battery poles: are connected in parallel by switching L, from the negative pole of the battery to the positive pole via 1 ",;.
At the <opposite end, the two wires of the loop are connected to the contacts 7c. and 1c; "the line d and the fault relay FR are connected to the negative pole of the battery ss1.
The fault relay is thus excited by current through the uninterrupted wire L1, interrupts its normally closed contact fr, and closes its normally open contact fr .:
. This takes place before the delay relay TR, which is switched on in the previously described departure, has had time to attract its armature. 3m contact fr, the short-circuiting of the relay RR is prevented. This relay remains energized , even after TR has withdrawn its anchor.
The relay; IIRS remains ineffective and the fire alarm does not come off either on the alarm devices _4K or on the Ilalipt.'feuer@meldeapparat. An error signal lamp FT and an error Z, FK are connected to the battery at the contact fr, df-s relay FR.
Furthermore, as before, the signal lamp 8L assigned to the loop is switched on and indicates that the error occurs in loop _41.
A line bump in L works in an analogous way. In the event of a unilateral earth fault, the relay receives JR. which is connected between the midpoint of battery I31 and earth, current through one half of the battery and that wire of the loop. in which the dead end occurs, and.
the said relay closes its contacts 3r and jr2. This switches on the earth fault signal lamp JL and indicates that the fault is an earth fault. FL and FK are switched on at the same time.
If a short circuit occurs, the relay R drops its armature as usual. The current from the battery goes through the short circuit via the contact k1 and the battery is short-circuited until the relay drops its armature, which, in practical terms, takes place immediately. However, in order to prevent the contact k1 from being destroyed in the process, the resistor F111 between the battery and the contact k1 is switched on behind the remaining current draw from the relevant pole of the battery.
In this case, the fault relay FR is switched on in a circuit which runs from the positive pole of the battery via the wire L1 of the loop, the contact k and the relay FR to the negative pole of the battery. The effect is the same as with a simple wire break.
In the case of a double-sided earth fault, the same functions occur as in the case of a short circuit. If the earth faults are unequal, the relay JR is switched on as with a single earth fault and switches on the earth fault signal lamp IL .
In the case of a double-sided wire break, which in practice only occurs when a fire breaks out, an increase in voltage occurs at the moment of interruption as a result of the self-induction, so that a breakdown in the insulation of the line is to be feared at some weak point. Such an error, or any other error occurring at this moment, however, must not trigger the fire alarm. prevent, regardless of whether the fault arises on one side or the other of the actuated thermostat.
It is assumed. that the thermostat labeled Tcc is actuated and interrupts the two conductors L1 and L2, and furthermore that when interrupted, a breakdown, i.e. a short circuit between the relay R and the thermostat, for example at I, occurs. Such a short circuit only means that the relay R is short-circuited in and for itself, and thus contributes to the de-energization of the relay. The relay R is de-excited all the more reliably by this error.
If a breakdown occurs between the wires of the loop at a point between the thermostat and the battery, for example at II, this has no detrimental effect on the alarm signal because the conductors at the thermostat are interrupted and the Fault relay FR can therefore not take place. The short circuit of the battery is in this case, as mentioned before, automatically canceled by the contact k of the relay R.
In a system according to FIG. 1 with several loops, a control relay R and a special signal lamp SL are provided on the control apparatus for each loop, while the other relays and signaling apparatus are common to all loops. In addition to the arrangements described, a reserve battery B = can be provided, which is connected to suitably selected contacts of the contact set of the relay R.
Fig.? shows another embodiment form with only one line drawn loop in which instead of a single fault relay. that can be switched on via contacts on the control relay on both wires of the loop, a special error relay PR, respectively. FR, for each wire; the loop is arranged.
In the example shown, these relays are switched on between the center of the battery B and one of the wires L1, L2, via normally open contacts Ir,;, or. k ,, of the control relay R. The control relay is de-energized, just as in the earlier examples, both when a fire breaks out and when a fault occurs, with the two wires L, and L2 at the end of the loop opposite to the battery with the center of the Loop connected.
The error relays are connected to the corresponding wires L1 respectively. L.- connected in parallel, between the center of the battery on the one hand and points nr, and ni-2 of the relevant wires on the other. Resistors 31, and ff. are switched on between the last-mentioned points and the corresponding poles of the battery, which are the greatest after the loop R has been switched on Part of the voltage drop between the assigned poles on the one hand and the center of the battery on the other hand.
The shunts of the relays FR, and F & _ formed by the wires L ,, L "have such a low resistance that they short-circuit the associated relays if there is no interruption in the wires of the wires is interrupted, however, the associated relay receives current, namely via the corresponding resistor il ', or 311 - whereby the relay responds and triggers a signal.
If a fire breaks out, both relays PR, and FR, respond, the fire alarm relay BR via contacts connected in series g. h is short-circuited at the first-c-- named relay, and consequently the hatipt fire alarm relay HB, f responds. In this embodiment, the timing relay TR in Fig. 1_ can be omitted. Signals, lamps and the like can be arranged in a manner similar to that in FIG. 1.
FIG. 3 shows a modification of the number of loops and the arrangement according to FIG. The two conductors or wires L "L. ,, are connected in parallel as before, when the control relay drops its armature. The center of the winding of the last-mentioned relay is connected to the negative pole via its contact k ,, and an alarm relay AR connected to the battery, which last-mentioned relay receives normal current via a contact k1 "and a resistor W, and in this state blocks the alarm signal.
At the same time, the conductor .L; to the positive pole of. Battery connected via contact k ", a resistor W2 preventing the battery from being short-circuited. If the relay R is now actuated by an error in the loop, the alarm relay AR remains after an interruption of contact k "is excited by current through contact k, and one or both of the conductors L1, 42, and fire alarm can thus not arise.
The error can be displayed in any way, for example by means of an error relay FR, which is switched on via a contact k12. If a fire breaks out, however, the alarm relay cannot receive any current via the loop because it is completely interrupted; the relay is de-excited and switches on the alarm signal. The alarm and fire relays are two-way, as in the earlier be written embodiments. a plurality of line loops connected to the same central telephone.
