wenn einer der Ankerpole von einem Elektro magneten zur Teildrehung des Lampenreflek- lors angezogen worden ist, ein anderer Anker pol wohl teilweise, aber noch nicht ganz im magnetischen Feldbereich eines andern Elek- I romgnetes steht, so dass dessen bei weiterer Ablenkung des Lenkrades erfolgende Erre gung eine weitere Teildrehung des Lampen- reflr-l;
Fig. 1 ist eine Seitenansicht, teilweise im Schnitt des Reflektors einer Autoscheinwer- ferlampe mit elektromagnetischer Antriebs vorrichtung; Fig. 2 ist eine Vorderansicht und Fig. 8 eine Draufsicht hierzu; Fig. 4 ist ein senkrechter Schnitt in grö sserem Massstabe durch die elektromagnetische Antriebsvorrichtung; Fig. 5 ist ein wagrechter Schnitt hierzu;
Fig. 6 zeigt die Verbindung eines zur Steuerung der elektromagnetischen Antriebs vorrichtung dienenden Kontaktkommutators mit der Autolenkstange; Fig. 7 ist ein Längsschnitt durch diesen Kontaktkommutator; Fig. 8 und 9 zeigen in Oberansicht und im Schnitt einen Segmentkranz desselben, welcher von einem beweglichen Steuerkontakt bestrichen wird; Fig. 10, 11 und 12 stellen in Seiten-, Vor der- und Oberansicht die äussere Form des Lampengehäuses mit .der Verglasung dar;
Bewegt sich etwa die Kon- taktgabel 21 aus der Stellung von Fig. 13 im Sinne des Pfeils a entsprechend .der Richtung der Lenkbewegung am Lenkrad, so werden von der gezeichneten Stellung ausgehend naeh dem Elektromagneten 7a die Elektro magnete 7u, 7e, 7d und wieder 7a . . . . 7d in derselben Reihenfolge unter Strom gesetzt, wenn die Lenkung nach derselben Richtung fortschreitet;
Device on headlight lamps for vehicles for lateral adjustment of the light cone. The invention relates to a device on headlight lamps for vehicles for lateral adjustment of the light cone with the aid of a rotatable reflector.
Your hallmark is that to move the lamp reflector an associated wheel with many radially protruding armature poles in com bination with a few, arranged in a circle around, in a certain order close-in depending on the steering wheel deflection excitable electromagnets is provided, with the number of armature poles is a multiple of the existing electromagnets that cannot be divided without decimals, and the distribution of the armature poles to the electromagnets is chosen such that,
if one of the armature poles has been attracted by an electric magnet to partially rotate the lamp reflector, another armature pole is probably partially, but not yet fully, in the magnetic field range of another elec- tromgnetes, so that it is caused by further deflection of the steering wheel a further partial rotation of the lamp reflr-l;
lors in the wake and thus partial rotation to partial rotation in a row allows the reflector to be adjusted in the sense of steering wheel deflection.
This electromagnetic drive device is expediently accommodated in the lower parts of the lamp housing which are correspondingly expanded for this purpose.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention.
1 is a side view, partially in section, of the reflector of a car headlight lamp with an electromagnetic drive device; Fig. 2 is a front view and Fig. 8 is a plan view thereof; Fig. 4 is a vertical section on a larger scale through the electromagnetic drive device; Fig. 5 is a horizontal section thereof;
Fig. 6 shows the connection of a device used to control the electromagnetic drive contact commutator with the car steering rod; Fig. 7 is a longitudinal section through this contact commutator; 8 and 9 show, in top view and in section, a segmented ring of the same, which is swept by a movable control contact; 10, 11 and 12 show, in side, front and top views, the external shape of the lamp housing with the glazing;
13 is a wiring diagram for the circuits controlled by the commutator. The reflector 1 (Fig. 1 to 3) of a car headlight lamp, the light source 2 of which is fixedly arranged in the focal point of the reflector is rotatable about a vertical axis by being held in a bracket 3 (Fig. 2), which is fastened at the bottom on a vertical rotating shaft 4.
The rotary shaft 4, which is mounted above and below on a ball bearing, carries a wheel 5 (Fig. 4 and 5) with the circumference of the armature poles 6 standing radially from between the aged around fixedly arranged elec tromagnets 7a, 7b, 7e, 7d. The latter are four in number and offset from one another by <B> 90 '</B>; they each have a U-shaped magnetic core 8, between whose pole legs the armature poles 6 can get into it.
The number of armature poles 6 is expediently a multiple -f- 1 of the number of electromagnets 7a, 7b, 7e, 7d; Here, for example, seventeen armature poles 6 that are equally spaced apart and far apart are provided. This number and distribution of the armature poles 6 in relation to the number and distribution of the electromagnets has the purpose, that if one of the armature poles, in Fig. 5 approximately the one marked 6a, exactly in the axis of the magnetic field of one of the electromagnets in Fig . 5 is about the electric magnet 7a,
-the armature pole 6e, which is four divisions away from that in the order, is probably already in the area of the magnetic field of the next following electro magnet, 7b, but not yet in the axis of the same. If, therefore, the armature pole 6a has been set in the field axis of the former by exciting the electromagnet 7a and the electromagnet 7b is then excited while the excitation of the electromagnet 7a is interrupted,
Thus, the armature pole 6e can be rotated into its field axis by the aiming action of the electromagnet 7b, which corresponds to a certain partial rotation of the armature pole wheel.
With this partial rotation, another armature pole of the wheel comes into the range of action of the electromagnet 7e, the excitation of which will result in a further partial rotation of the armature pole wheel and so on, so that in this way, when the electromagnets are successively excited, the armature pole wheel is rotated very slowly and Partial rotation in a row twisted the lamp reflector 1 to the side.
In the field axis position, the anchor poles 6 of the wheel are temporarily determined by a type of brake. Such a brake is provided on the core legs of each electromagnet and consists of two pressure pawls 10 (FIG. 4) which can be rotated about a fixed axis 11 and are under the action of a spring 12. When polarizing the magnet core legs, the pawls 10 are attracted by the same and pressed against the rear side of the armature pole 6 concerned in order to fix it in its field axis position. When the excitation ceases, the pawls 10 return under the action of their spring 12.
The latter is suspended from an adjustable angle rail 13 and its tension can be regulated by adjusting the same, while a screw 14 in the angle rail 13 allows the rotational position of the pawls 10 to be regulated.
An electrical power source 1.5 is used to excite the electromagnets, which, as can be seen from the wiring diagram in FIG. 13, is connected to the free electromagnets 7a, 7b, 7e, 7d via a contact commutator.
The contact commutator has a stationary segment ring 20 whose mutually insulated contact segments are connected to those four electromagnets in the manner shown in FIG. On the segment ring 20 is a movable con tact fork 21 (Fig. 7).
The latter sits on a rotatable hollow shaft 22 which is coupled at one end by a claw coupling 23 to a pulley 24, which is loosely rotatable on a hollow axle 25.
The cable selieibe 24 is connected by a cable 25 '(Fig. 6) to a pulley 26 attached to the handlebar of the car, in such a way that when the car handlebar is turned, the pulley 24 is rotated accordingly and its rotational movement is triggered by the flea shaft 22 the contact fork 21 passes over, which slides along the segment rim 20 in this way. As a result, in accordance with the diagram in FIG. 13, the electromagnets 7a, 7b, 7e, 7d are successively and repeatedly switched into the circuit of the power source 15 and thus excited.
If, for example, the contact fork 21 moves from the position of FIG. 13 in the direction of the arrow a corresponding to the direction of the steering movement on the steering wheel, then, starting from the position shown, the electromagnets 7u, 7e, 7d and again close to the electromagnet 7a 7a. . . . 7d energized in the same order when steering is proceeding in the same direction;
the armature pole wheel is thereby rotated from the position shown in FIG. 5 in the direction of arrow a ', in that after the electromagnet 7a, the one 7b and so on is excited.
Reverses the direction of rotation of the contact fork 21 about on a segment that is connected to the Elektromag net 7d, after this the electromagnet 7c is energized, in whose area of action an armature pole has entered, and the reverse rotation of the armature pole wheel takes place. In this way, the armature pole wheel receives a direction of motion corresponding to the direction of rotation of the handlebar, and consequently also the lamp reflector connected to the armature pole wheel.
The handlebar is connected in a known manner by a transmission gear with the steering wheels of the car. Experience shows that when turning into bends the. lateral deflection of the light cone of the headlamps does not follow the adjustment of the steering wheels exactly, but should hurry ahead to achieve a lighting that ensures the correct overview of the road curve.
In the example shown, the arrangement and width of the commutator segments with reference to the starting point of the control movement (corresponding to the straight exit) and the anchor pole pitch on the anchor pole wheel is such that if the steering wheels of the car are turned by 1 15 '' are diverted to the side from the straight position, the movable contact of the commutator already transfers to the next segment and causes a partial rotation of 2 30 'on the armature pole wheel,
that after the steering wheels of the car are turned by 3 Q 45 ', the moving contact of the commutator passes to the second segment and causes a further partial rotation of 2 30', i.e. more than 5 together, on the armature pole wheel, and so on, so that the transition of the moving contact of the commutator from one segment to the next follow the lead of the movement on the armature pole wheel or. on the rotatable lamp reflector, as is useful for good visibility in the road curve.
Up until now it was assumed that the side deflection of the light cone took place automatically with the side deflection of the car steering wheels. Now, however, the possibility should also be created to be able to carry out the lateral deflection of the light cone by hand as desired. For this purpose, the hollow shaft 22 is not only rotatable, but also mounted longitudinally displaceable bar in its axial direction.
In the position in which it is coupled to the pulley 24, two spring-influenced bolts 30 (FIGS. 8 and 9) engage in a circumferential groove 31 (FIG. 7) of the hollow shaft 22 and secure it in this coupling position. If the hollow shaft 22, which is provided with a button 32 at the end facing away from the coupling, is pulled to the right in FIG. 7 until the bolts 30 fall into a central circumferential groove 34, the coupling of the hollow shaft 22 with the Pulley 24 released,
the latter runs empty when turning the handlebar and the driver can now by turning the hollow shaft 22 by means of its button 32 by hand, adjust the contact fork 21 on the segment ring 20 of the gommutator, on which it has not lost contact due to that longitudinal shift, to adjust the lamp reflector again and again by means of the electromagnet and the armature pole wheel.
The rotational movement of the hollow shaft 22 is limited by a locking ball 40, which lies in a longitudinal groove 41 of the support piece 42 and engages in a helical order groove 43 of the hollow shaft 22. The length of this groove depends on the allowable rotation of the steering rod steering wheel.
The hollow shaft 22 can be pulled out even further. However, this can only happen if a lug 50 that goes with the hollow shaft 22 can enter a recess 51 of the commutator housing, which is only possible if the hollow shaft 22 has been set so that the vertical center plane of the reflector is directed straight ahead ; for this position of the hollow shaft 22, the nose 50 comes exactly opposite the recess 51 to stand.
If the hollow shaft 22 is then pulled out until the Rie gel 30 jump into the circumferential groove 54 of the hollow shaft, with which the nose 50 has entered the recess 51, the contact fork 21 is pulled off the segment ring 20 and the circuit of all electric magnets is interrupted here . The lamp reflector therefore remains stationary; while the hollow shaft 22 is prevented by the nose 50 from unge wanted rotation and so set in the starting position.
An electrical signal lamp 60 is built into the button 32 of the hollow shaft 22, the power supply lines of which are routed through the hollow shaft 25 to the outside and are connected to the common circuit of the electromagnets (FIG. 13). If @this lamp lights up, the guide can be sure that one or the other electromagnet is energized.
In the event that the current should fail for any reason, a blocking electromagnet 65 is provided which is also located in the common circuit of the electromagnets 7a, 7b, 7e, 7d. As long as the circuit is energized, the locking electromagnet 65 is energized and holds a locking claw 66 (FIG. 5) provided on its armature wheel out of engagement with the armature pole. If there is no power, the locking claw <B> 66 </B> is released and engages between two adjacent poles of the armature pole wheel in a locking manner, so that it is locked.
The rotation of the reflector 1 means that the lamp housing 70 is recessed on both sides in the manner shown in FIGS. 10, 11 and 12 so as not to prevent the cone of light deflected since Lich. The protective glazing 71 also has to adapt to these cutouts. On the other hand, the reflector itself also has lateral recesses, as can be seen from FIG.
The lamp housing does not otherwise have the usual shape; in the lower part it has been considerably expanded to create space for the electromagnetic group and the armature pole wheel plus accessories, which parts are encapsulated in a protective housing 75.
As can be seen from FIG. 6, the contact commutator is located on the front protective board 72 of the driver's seat. Instead of the pulley gear, some other compulsory connection between the steering rod and the contact commutator could of course be used. The reflector could also be set as a function of the steering process by means of a control device other than the electromagnetic one described.
The glazing of the lamp housing could be made strongly cambered if one wants to avoid the lateral housing recesses. You can give the lamp housing with the glazing the most diverse phantasy forms.
